Andie smirked and shrugged. "Fine then, be that way." she called to the infuriating Slytherin as he walked off leaving them with the mess. "But just so you know, you just lost Slytherin about... oh... let's say... ten points?"

Grace stared at Jerred as he left. A curious boy, she thought, smiling slightly. She admired his ... "fervour!" she thought aloud. Realising she had, she looked around, wide-eyed and embarrassed. "Well, let's get you to your common room, Scott!" she said quickly, "before we meet more trouble!" She looked back at the suit of armour before getting between Andie and Scott and pushing them onwards.

Andie gently but firmly pulled her arm out of Grace's grasp. "Grace, I can walk on my own thank you." she stated patiently

Grace giggled and looked at Andie. "I was beginning to doubt it for a second!" She smiled at the Ravenclaw and carried on walking. They reached the staircase. "Up to the seventh floor we go!" she said cheerfully, and started to clime the stares. "Andie?" she asked frowning slightly, "are you alright? You seem out of sorts these days."

Andie's head snapped up, breaking her out of her trance-like state. "I'm fine. Why do you ask?" she asked Grace suspiciously.

Scott watched the two as they talked back and forth and followed them up the stairway. He kept his hands in his pockets and attempted to keep his mouth shut to prevent any more smart comments to leak out without his knowing.
He finally sighed, not able to keep himself in check any further, "Maybe its because you keep staring at me," he said with a mischevious grin pasted on his face. "Careful Andie, she might get jealous," he said laughing hoping the two would understand it was a joke only used to lighten the atmosphere around the small group.

Grace frowned at Andie, not believing that she was fine. Then Scott made a clever chirp and Grace laughed, frown fading fast. Nodding her head, Grace said, still giggling, "nothing really, it's just that you don't seem as ... oh, I don't know, you're just being odd, angry, curt and somewhat annoyed. I just thought that something must be wrong. Guess I was wrong."

Andie's face softened. "I just take my duties as a prefect very seriously. But I do have a thing against Boneman." she admitted.

Scott nudged Andie with his shoulder, "Oh come one, it's just his way of saying he likes you," he said giving her a wink. "You gotta give the guy a break, he seems pretty lonely. I don't know how he stands it, I sure can't," Scott said with a laugh.
Scott sighed, "How much further? My legs are getting tired..."

Grace looked at Andie for a long moment and understanding the need to take patrolling seriously, smiled and then looked at Scott. She had never thought of it that way, what a surprise, hearing something so deep from a boy and a gryffindor at that! She smiled at him too and her thoughts drifted to a certain special person in her life.
Scott asked a question and, looking up, realised that they were a flight away from the seventh floor. "Nearly there," she said slowly, then pointed, "there's the seventh floor." She started up the flight of stairs and was so concerned with the door to the seventh floor that she didn't realise until it was too late that the stair changed. It swung to the right. Grace quickly grabbed the railing in surprise. "Oh dear!" she sighed.

Andie gasped in surprise, then giggled. "Grace, are you okay?" she asked as she grabbed onto her friend's arm to steady her.

Grace giggled too. Smiling, she nodded, "I just hate it when the stair case moves unexpectedly. I left my stomach back there." She jabbed a thumb in the direction of where they had been. Smiling at Andie to reassure her that she was fine, Grace nodded towards the top of the stair. "Let's go!"

Scott sighed, "If I wasn't so sure you two were doing a good thing and helping me out, I'd say you were trying to get me into even more trouble," he said with a smile, as he followed the two girls.
He looked back, towards his actual destination and sighed, "This is gonna take forever," he said laughing.

Grace gave Scott another light tap on the arm. "Oh, don't be silly," she giggled, "we'll be there before you know it." She laughed and sighed. She hoped she was right. The castle was big and she didn't often go to the gryffindor common room. I just hope I can remember how to get there.
They walked around a corner to the left and Grace gripped Andie's hand, pushing Scott out of the way. Andie's head was right next to her's and Grace held her that close while she spoke. "Do you know how to get there from here?" she whispered right into her ear.

Andie chuckled wryly and shook her head. "I honestly have no clue." she replied. She turned to Scott, "How can you be a Gryffindor and not know the way to your own Common Room?" she teased him goodnaturedly.
