Andie slipped out of the Ravenclaw Common Room. It was ten o'clock and it was patrol time. she checked to make sure she had her wand and that her badge was pinned to her robes, then she peered into the shadows for her patrolling partner and Head Girl, Grace. "Psst! Grace? You there?" she hissed as she looked around for her friend.

Grace shrieked suddenly, practically running out of the shadow, and waving her hands above her head. "Eee," she shrieked, "get it off! Get it off!" She was covered in cobwebs and couldn't keep still. When she had hidden there, she had not realised that those shadows harboured such horrid surprises. She half noticed Andie standing nearby so she hopped over to her, still shrieking and waving her hands above her head.

Andie burst out laughing at the sight of Grace shrieking and waving her arms over her head. "Haha! Oh my god!" she gasped as she bent over double. "Let's get to work okay?" she managed to gasp with tears of mirth streaming down her face.

Grace pulled a strained face, "are you sure I don't have any spiders on me?" she asked spinning around so Andie could see. Having gotten all the cobwebs out of her hair, Grace smiled at Andie and nodded, "indeed, lets!" Then she began to walk passing Andie before she caught up with her.

Andie gave Grace a quick but thorough once-over. "Spider free." she confirmed. "Now come on, let's get those little trouble makers."

Grace nodded, smiling at Andie, "indeed," she said, "lets!" She began to walk along the corridor humming a song lightly. After having rounded a corner, Grace looked at Andie and smiled, "so, tell me, what have you been getting up to? It seems like forever since we've had such a quiet patrol."

Andie shrugged. "Not much really. You?" They had barely gotten ten feet when Andie heard voices. She stopped and held up her hand, motioning for Grace to do the same. "You hear that?" she asked. Suddenly two fifth years stumbled across their path. Andie crossed her arms and assumed her 'Prefect' pose (standing tall, crossed arms, a strict expression on her face). "And what might I ask are you two doing out of bed at this hour? You do realize that it's an hour past curfew, don't you?" she asked the students sternly as she winked at Grace. Andie loved patrolling!

When Andie motioned for her to stop, Grace froze mid-stride. She had not heard what Andie had said she had heard. Grace stood up straight and was about to complain that Andie was simply being silly and that they should keep on moving, when a sixth year came down the corridor.
Grace looked at Andie for a split second, impressed with her hearing. Then, realising the situation called for her full attention, she turned to the rogue student. Seeing that Andie had this bust under control, Grace nodded to Andie when she winked at her, letting her know she had this one all to herself.

Andie smiled at Grace then turned back to the two fifth years. "Well? I'm waiting. Why are you out of your dorms after curfew?" she asked as she raised her eyebrow.
((now we just need a couple of 5th years....))

Scott looked at his homemade map of hogwarts with confusion, "I could've sworn I turned here before," he said as he stopped and looked around. He sighed, "Maybe I'll remember if I walk a little further," he concluded.
Scott was continuing to stare at his map when he bumped into a person, at least he thought thats what it was. His hands flew up, causing his so called map to fly up above them. He stumbled backwards before catching his balance. He looked at the two girls, "I-I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." he said rubbing his head slightly, "Actually, to be honest, I'm kinda lost," he said with an embarassed laugh.

((6th i sjust fine!  )) Grace saw a piece of spare parchment fly above the Gryffindor's head. She quickly caught it, her keeper skills coming in useful. She smiled at Andie, then began to study the parchment. She turned it around and over and around again. "What's this?" she asked with authority, holding the parchment up. She couldn't make out the squiggly lines or the badly written words. |

Scott laughed and ran a hand throught his messy hair, "That would be my map, miss," he said looking down then back up at the girl. "I was trying to find my way back to the common room. See, I'm new here and this is actually my first day. I wasn't trying to be out this late, but I either marked it wrong on my map or I'm a complete retard and keep reading it wrong. Tho I hope it isn't the latter," he said chuckling to himself.
He brought his hand down and placed both of his hands in his pockets. "Like I said before, I'm really sorry I bumped into you two, I wasn't trying to or anything, I was just... uhh... well... trying to figure out where I went wrong."

Grace frowned. It was two things he said that made her frown: the first was 'miss', she was not accustomed to being called 'miss'; and the second was that the parchment in her hand was supposed to be a map. Grace turned it, and flipped it some more.
"Well, no wonder you're lost," she said still looking at the curious thing, "map's all wrong. See this room her?" She pointed to a small room that she assumed was the storage room, "that's on the sixth floor. And you want to be on the seventh. But, we're going to have to take 5 points from Gryffindor for this, whether intentional or no."

Andie nodded in agreement. "Unfortunately I'm going to have to agree with Grace here," she said to the boy, "Just be careful that it doesn't happen again. Okay?"

Scott looked at the map, "go figure it would be the latter," he said to himself. He looked up at the girl, "I understand about the um, housepoints thing too, it was my fault for being out this late anyway. Next time, I'll be smarter and just ask for directions," he said with a laugh.
"Um, by the way, my name is Scott, Scott Brooks. I'm still really sorry about running into you, I didn't hurt you did I?" he asked the girls. "And it won't happen again," he added.
