She quirked an eyebrow, 'What's there to lose?' she thought, "So, Mister Sorting Hat?" she felt a bit awkward addressing a hat, even if it was magically enchanted, "What story are you going to tell us?" she was becoming increasingly more interested.

The rip wrinkled and opened.
"I'll tell you a tale which is terribly true. A tale of daring and brave deeds indeed, Of a hero so young, not much older than you. The lessons of whom you'd do well to heed.
I'll tell you the tale of dear Harry Potter, A Gryffindor brave and a Gryffindor true. A boy who faced evil with strong hearted valor, a boy who since birth all wizards knew."

Her intrigue dimmed a bit at the name Harry Potter, but then again, the Sorting Hat would know more about it than most people. He saw into the guys head for Merlins sake! Her interest renewed she continued listening to the hats description of the story.

Harry Potter, Keaira thought, instantly fascinated. She had her own suspicions about the boy and would have loved a chance to meet him when he was alive, but for now, perhaps the hat could verify or negate her theories. The greatest one being, of course, that he was really a normal kind of guy. She wondered idly which stories were true: the ones in which he was a total snot all the time or the ones in which he was friends with absolutely everyone, no questions asked. Probably something in between, she thought.

Kim listened to the hat. She was interested in what it had to say. Harry Potter. She sat there and thought to herself a bit before perking herself up. She didnt really want to miss out on anything the hat had to say.

"Voldemort" Kim said "One of the greatest wizards of all time. Also one of the most feared, most darkest. His power was really... uhm... powerful. But because of his loathe for the boy it ultimatly lead to his downfall." Kim thought for a minute "Even though he was pure evil, Voldemort i mean, He was a great wizard... Probably misguided or something. Heir of Slytherin and a parseltongue too"

(Anyways...)
"I've heard of the death eaters... I don't know many people that haven't. I don't know that I would be able to pick your great, great, great grandfather out of a crowd, but I don't think I could pick my own out of a crowd either." she shrugged.

Lisa listened to the hat's story with interest, biting her lip slightly at Brian. "I've heard of the Deatheaters too... I'm sure many people still exist that carry the same morals they had." Her thoughts drifted to Malfoy and his father and she shuddered, looking back at the hat, wanting to hear his version of the ever-famous Harry Potter legend.

Ethelion chuckled softly, waving a hand at the students. "Please everyone, be quiet and let the hat tell its tale. I'm sure you'll find it very interesting."
The hat cleared its throat, and spoke up again.
"No, sir, I do not need to speak in rhyme. I just enjoy doing so. And besides, it's a wonderful enterence. " He told James somewhat huffily, then turned back to the rest of the class. "You're all right. Voldemort was a very powerful wizard. One of the greatest indeed. But I'm sure you've all heard of Albus Dumbledore, yes? Anyone?"

"Of course!" she said enthusiastically. "My great (I suppose it would be great) Uncle used his Phoenixes feathers to make wands." she said, proud of her family's heritage of wand making.

Lisa also nodded, listening to the quiet murmers of the class about Albus Dumbledore, one of the greatest wizards of all time. She had heard many stories about him, and was incredibly impressed.
She leaned forward in her seat, thinking that this tale would be Eriksson's most interesting yet.
