((well this is continued from the common room, bookworm woes to be exact, but if Loren doesn't mind I'm sure others can join if they so wish to do so))
The night air hit Russell as though he had fallen onto his bed without the sudden stop. It was fresh and tasted of rain but the skies were clear and many stars could be seen high above them. Russell did a loop-da-loop around Loren before heading towards the dark mass which could only be The Forest.
The Lake came into view and Russell went low enough and skimmed the water with his finger. It was cool. Then the Forest caught up to him and he landed in front of the trees. He waited for Loren to join him, bracing himself. In all his wildest dreams he had not imagined that she would opt for the forest trip. Rus looked behind him and saw Loren coming closer so he mounted his broom and prepared himself, just a little more, to follow Loren into the Forest.

Loren silently whipped past Russell in the moonlight, her hair billowing about her face as she arched gently upward away from the still lake surface and toward the tree tops of the Forbidden Forest. Ministry notices had been posted in various places around the school informing any daredevils that their plights into the forest would be more severely punished than usual. Of course, any plot against a Ravenclaw was not to be feared, their sharp wits having aided Loren as she and Russell had jumped from the common room windows, a standard invisibility charm quickly cast over them.
'It's so chilly,' Loren mused, her voice carried away on the wind as her feet grazed the taller reaching branches. A broad opening appeared, and carefully she plummeted down into the darkness of the canopy, gesturing for Russell to follow.
The darkness inside was heavy and cold, and Loren let out a small cry of surprise as she landed a little sooner than she had expected, the ground too black to have been seen.

Andie was outside when she decided to take a walk in the forest, just for curiosity's sake. She entered the fringe of trees, she walked for a few minutes, were those voices she heard? "Who's there?" she cried, her voice shaking with nervousness.

Loren's head shot round in the dark, and she held her breath tensely. Had they already been caught by a prefect or worse, a teacher? As usual there were no cries of birds or animals, and no wind blew tonight. Whoever was there had stopped and was being very still. 'Erm, no one?' Loren replied, attempting to sound completely innocent.
The darkness was really beginning to creep in on her now, and out of panic she produced her wand and mutter, 'Lumos!'
There was a bright pulse of light that blinded her for a moment, then it quickly adjusted to Loren's requirements. A few meters away stood Andie, another Ravenclaw Loren immediately remembered from the Quidditch practice earlier that morning. 'Oh, Andie!' She giggled. 'You scared me!'

"Loren! Russell! What are you guys doing?" She smiled shyly at Russell, as she waited for them to answer.

Just at that moment, Jac jumped out from behind a tree and in a deep husky voice cried, "Gaaaar! It's the Boogyman! I'm come fer ye soul!" She had her hair short and dark, it was messy. Her nails were long and her nose too. She was covered in worts and her skin was an insipid yellow colour. She looked terrible which added to the ferocity of her 'attack'.
She held her pose: arms held out, fingers extended viciously, and back hunched terribly. When a light was shone on her she held her pose a little longer then, looking at the three ravens present, smiled naughtily. She burst into laughter and reverted to her normal self. Her hair became long and red, her nails became a respectable length and her skin cleared to it's pale complexion. She laughed and laughed, "you should have see yourselves, your faces were priceless!"

'Merlin!' Loren cried, her arm swinging around to point her wand at the gruesome looking figure that had just emerged - loudly - from behind a nearby tree. For a moment Loren had wondered if they had stumbled upon a disgruntled banshee, but as the creature seemed to lessen in appearance and revert to a completely normal person, Loren's heart slowed down enough for her to lower her wand.
'I thought I was done for then,' she laughed nervously, running a hand through her hair, trying to calm her nerves. 'Are - are you a metamorphmagus by any chance?' Loren asked.

Jac, still twitching with laughter, smiled maniacally, and nodded, "and now I can change more then just my hair!" She stood up straight and put on the face of an angel, "I'm very impressed with myself!" She giggled uncontrollably like a first year. Calming herself, she said kindly, "I've very sorry, oh dearest ravenclaws, I shouldn't frighten you so. I am so terribly wicked, aren't I?" She was putting on her angel voice again, but this had a twisted twist.

Andie laughed. "Actually I'm a Metmorphagus as well, I just like to show it. Don't why..."

Loren giggled, the Gryffindor's antics seeming bizarre but very amusing. She was just about to congratulate the new comer on her recent achievement, when Andie piped up and declared that she too was a metamorphmagus also. 'Honestly? Merlin! To think its a rare anomaly of birth, and there are two right here!' Loren placed her hands on her hips, slowly shaking her head in pleasant disbelief.
'And do you two know each other then? Are you related?' She asked, wondering if it were not just a lucky coincidence and that it might all be explain through the two of them being of the shame rare bloodline.

Andie laughed. "Nope. Not unless she's a long-lost sister." As she spoke her skin turned icy-pale, her hair lengthened and turned raven-black, a waterfall of midnight tumbling down her back. Her stunning emerald green eyes stayed the same.

Jac blinked in disbelief at the other raven she had not seen before. "Merlin is right!" Jac whole heartedly agreed. She walked up to the girl, growing an inch taller with every step. By the time she reached the small girl, she was towering over her at well over 6 feet.
"You and I both have a ..." she waved her hand, searching for the word, "a ... gift if you will that my great great great great grandaunt was the last one. You telling me that you can ... are you being serious?" Jac had run off her trail of thought and was just rambling.

Andie stared up at the girl, having to practically lean backwards. "What are you talking about?" she asked, confused.

Loren had watched the two talking, still unable to believe her eyes. Andie had now completely changed her appearance, and the Gryffindor was turning into a giant. Loren suddenly realised she did not know the new girl's name. 'I'm Loren,' she announced suddenly, striding forward into the girl's line sight. 'I'm no shape shifter, but I'm a mean chaser.' She smiled, craning her neck to look at her face.

Jac was in the mood for some student pounding but was very abruptly pulled back into the world by ... Loren's voice. She turned back into her normally tall self, her hair a little redder, her eyes a little greener. She looked at Loren and smiled, well, tried to.
She walked over to her and grabbed her hand, "Chaser, ah? Name's Jac Biggerstall, beater," she gripped Loren's hand a little tighter then quickly released it. She took a step back and put her hands on her hips, "you follow quidditch, Loren? Twin? Guy?"
