Helena kept her eyes open and stayed alert as she fleetingly wished her hair wasn't so long. But she didn't have a moment to waste, so she decided to deal with it. She grinned at Jamie as he made a goal and gave him a thumbs-up.
Helena thought to herself, Ugh, the orange clashes with my skin tone to badly, then mentally scolded herself. You better stay focused, if you want to take possession of the quaffl---oh, no.
She watched a purple-clad chaser take possession of the quaffle as the smallest of raindrops fell onto her cheek.

Bradyn tensed as Erys shot for a goal. From that far away! He wasn't expecting that at all, but apparently beaters weren't the only ones with a bat out here. Just as he was about to dive for the quaffle, though, Girt thought that she'd come in and take it. "Well, I see you have a lot of trust in me." He said incredulously but grinned anyway. Soon she was off with Jamie on her tail, and with some nice work they were almost at the goal posts. 'Take that Scott, I'd like to see you block our team!' He thought, and pumped his fist in the air when the points were awarded.
"Yeah! Nice one, Jamie!" Bray shouted, but took his attention back to the purple blurs that he knew to be chasers. Slytherdor was in possession, so he couldn't distract himself with his excited cheers, especially since he could almost imagine what May would say the first time he missed a goal.

Sarie adjusted her purple robes while sitting on her broom. She was looking for the snitch. Nothing was in sight. She saw some thing flash she flew toward it to find one of the chasers watches. She sighed and flies higher over the game. She sighed again.

Ricky was flying around, a little distracted by the fact his robes were purple, safe to say not really his favourite colour in the world, though robes were of little importance as one of his hands clutched his broom whilst the other arm was busy holding the quaffle. The game was picking up now, as the other side had already scored and Ricky would walk around yelling 'I love Muggles' with a bright pink bobble hat and a pair of elf shoes with a bell on the end of them before he let them win.
Ricky flew higher over the pitch, the quaffle still firmly beneath his arm. He was too far away from the goals right now so the only option for him was to pass it. Catching sight of Erys a little ways beneath him, he gave a sharp whistle to try and catch her attention before releasing the tension on his arm which was holding the big red ball like object and threw it to her. Though whether she caught it or not was entirely down to her. All he could do now was watch.
(If I break any rules, feel free to slap me!)

Ricky had failed to notice Helena, and Helena saw a chance. Go go go! For the love of Mitch Hedburg and Albus Dumbledore and rainbows! She urged herself and her (slightly shabby and obviously abused) broom.
Before Erys could catch it, Helena quickly intercepted the quaffle, quickly catching it and tucking it firmly under her right arm.
She quickly weaved through the opponents and prepared to pass it to someone else, when she saw Jamie, right within range. She quickly passed it to him, perhaps a bit too quickly. She watched the quaffle sail through the air, hopefully into his arms...

Felicity looked around the field, trying to find who held the quaffle. Ah! There was the boy. A Slytherin no doubt, she could tell from the smug look. Well, she wouldn't let him get far. No one was safe with this veela as beater. She wasn't as dainty as she looked.
Fay leaned forward on her broom, and she dove closer to the ground. The bludger was flying toward her, at it's incredible speed. Ah, this was so perfect, she could almost scream.
She tightened her grip on her beater and swung, with as much force as she could muster. Hopefully (because I don't know if I can control the bludger), her beater would contact and send the bludger sailing up, toward the smug looking blonde Slytherin boy who had just had the quaffle (Ricky, if I wasn't desciptive enough xD ).

(That bludger aint havin' none of me! Leastways not yet)
Ricky was stationary from where he threw thr quaffle as he watched it sail through the air only to be caught by somebody else! Cursing under his breath, the smug look quickly vanishing from his face, he began to follow the quaffle position with his eyes. Hearing a faint noise, that sounded oddly and quite scarily like a bludger, Ricky looked down in time to see one of those people, he didnt even know her name, blast one straight for him!
Luckily enough for him, he managed to get out of its way, though only just. The bludger did make impact with the edge of the bristles, enough to make him lose control of his broom for a little while. Flying away incase that thing decided for a second go, he flew near her, narrowing his eyes in a dangerous like way, as he flew past he muttered something audible for her to hear, "You would have been sorry if that hit, I would have daunted your every step, filth." With that, and of course another smug, though rather angry look, he flew off towards the otherside of the pitch.

{ ^_^ }
Cursing as Helena caught the quaffle before her, Erys dug her finernails into her broom handle, knowing they were pretty sharp and catlike by now. All the better to keep a firm grip as she shot after the Hufflepuff, purple robes whipping behind her as she came up from behind, soaring past to catch the quaffle and quickly toss it off to Ricky, "Ricky! Catch!" She shouted, knowing he was close enough to get it. He was angry at the bludger the other team had sent towards him, and he'd use it to get them points.
Readying herself to kick off again in case someone intercepted it, the Slytherin kept a close watch of the goings-ons around her, sure that someone would soon send a bludger her way as well.
"Never again, Helena." Erys spat at her, smirking for her earlier interception of the other girl's pass. This was just too easy for them, and assuming their teammates would join them, it would get even easier. If only they would help out..

Ricky heard her yell and spun his broom around as the Quaffle came hurtling towards him, catching it firmly in his hands he gave her a quick thumbs up before spinning his broom around once more to speed off towards the goalposts. Ricky, still definatly angry about the bludger incident and making a mental note to get the witch back for that, dived low to miss yet another bludger sent his way.
Seemed to him like they certainly had something against Ricky, throwing the ball hard and fast towards the right loop, Ricky watched to see if it would go through. Feeling there was nothing more he could do since he had thrown the quaffle, he flew back up on par with Erys, "Great throw." High fiving her, he flew off once more into the midst of purple and orange blur.

Catching the thumbs up, the Slytherin parted her full lips in a wicked grin, glad that a fellow housemate had joined the battle. Marvelling at the throw after spinning on her broom to dodge the bludger that was now heading his way, she watched as he avoided that too. Impressive, most impressive. He was quite the Quidditch player. She almost wished she was beater so she could send that dangerous piece of equiptment right back at the other team, so they wouldn't get in her and his way, but someone else had nabbed the spot for this term. Damn. Guess chaser would have to do.
Lifting her hand for the high five, Erys grinned as their palms connected loudly, "Great catch." Right back at him. Kicking off quickly, she made her way over to the posts, hoping to catch whoever might intercept the quaffle before it made it through the posts and take the ball back.

Post by Girty Hubbles on Mar 4, 2008 8:20:59 GMT
Girty joined in with the shouts and celebrations that was a result of Jamie’s goal, flying over to her cousin Girty took him in a headlock and ruffled up his hair while being unable to stop herself from laughing. “We shall make a good Quidditch player out of you yet!” She shouted over the deafening roars.
But they could not stay still for long as the quaffle was soon back in play and the Slytherin’s were making up some ground, however Helena took the quaffle off them for a brief moment, then Fay hit a bludger at the male Slytherin but with all this happening and Girty not know where to look it soon became aware to her that the purples had the quaffle again. Determination filled her face yet again and she followed Erys and Ricky waiting for one of them to fumble or over throw the ball…but this was not happening. Urging the broom to go faster Girty was making her way further along the pitch had it not been for the distractions of the bludger then she would not have made it.
The male chaser stopped and pulled his arm back and threw the ball at the goal hoops and for the second time that game Girty dived in the way and took hold of the quaffle before it reached the hoops. With the red ball in her hands Girty looked over to Bradyn and offered him an apologetic smile, before zooming off back towards the opposite goals. When she was half way across the pitch Girty looked around for another chaser on her side and seeing one of them she passed the quaffle over to them.
((You have to pass the ball twice…you guys passed it once and had a shot. Now if Erys had posted saying she flew up to the quaffle and gave it an extra thumb through that would have sort of been allowed. Sorry to ruin the party…))

Post by Jamie-Syrus Griffiths on Mar 4, 2008 21:35:43 GMT
Roars filled the stadium as he scored the first goal of the game. Elated, Jamie-Syrus found himself grinning wildly at the fact, and this only increased as Girt flew over to him. Though he was rather more expecting a high five than a good old hair ruffling. Jamie remarked loudly in response to he comment “I’d say the same to you Girt, but its a little too late for that now!” He grinned cheekily, and with a laugh, Jamie sped off.
Perhaps he had let the first goal of the match go to his head slightly, because Jamie-Syrus found himself once again paying very little attention. Almost to the extent of abandoning his orange clad teammates. Helena had directed a throw at him at some stage, though Daines had intercepted it.
Shaking himself slightly to regain his concentration. He felt the fist few spots of rain land on his hair, and little specks appeared on his goggles and gloves. Then Jamie noticed that Girt was on the move once again. His heart fell as he realised how close they were to their own goals! Though to his great relief as Daines took a shot on goal, Girty intercepted the shot. ‘This is not to be born!’ Jamie thought to himself and zoomed off to add his cousin.
Approaching his cousin at great speed, she threw the quaffle into open space. Jamie dived steeply as the quaffle fell through the air. It was a fair way ahead of him, and all he could do was will his broom on. It was an arms length away, outstretching his hand, it brushed the tips of his fingers. However not willing to let it go so easily. He removed his other hand from the broom handle also and lurched forwards. Thankfully he caught it this time. Though his was sickenly close to the ground now. Not willing to look about to any opposing members. He swiftly turned direction and darted off towards the other goal posts. His hair fell over his eyes with the sudden change in direction but it did not matter.
Jamie had travelled almost half distance now, he glanced over his left shoulder, he caught an orange glimpse, this was good enough for him, any bludgers were likely to be rather close by now. Jamie then released the quaffle, to his left, where he had caught the glimpse of orange. (sorry to break up the party )

Girty watched the quaffle soar through the air, dropping closer to the ground and she waited with baited breath for a blur of orange to appear and take hold of it, at first she thought she saw purple and her heart sank but then from no where Jamie-Syrus appeared and took hold of the quaffle. Letting out a sign of relief that continued a few profanities Girty thought she best offer some form of backup for her fellow chasers and sped off in the direction of the hoops. A bludger was flying head on towards her and with a tug on her broom Girty veered sharply to the right and watched as the bludger carried on to cause more destruction.
But this was a long enough distraction to lose sight of Jamie. Curing under her breath some more She flew to the closest dot of orange and then something was flying towards her, it was not a bludger this time but the quaffle. With a gasp of surprise Girty reached out and caught the quaffle feeling her figures ache and the force of the throw bend them backwards. However she had no time to moan, out of the corner of her eyes she could see purple and that was never a good sign. Pulling up so she was level with the right hoop Girty’s eyes narrowed as she approached the target, she held the quaffle in her right hand and when she was only meters from the right hoop she quickly changed direction and threw a the quaffle at the centre hoop hoping it will go in and they can have another 10 points.
GOAL!0 - 20 - Possession is given to Gryffindor/Slytherin.

The moment the quaffle was intercepted, Erys veered around, a blur as she shot towards her hoops to aid the keeper in defending them. She kept her eyes on the ball as it was passed between Girty and Jamie, dropping a little lower to stay out of sight until it was time. Lifting up sharply, Erys was smacked in the face as the quaffle hit her instead of the hoops. Grumbling as it fell into her hands, she shook off the pain, knowing it would take much more to make her bleed. "Ricky, lets go!" She shouted to her comrade, diving towards the ground to rocket across the sand. Whistling at him, the Slytherin cranked her arm back, flinging the ball at him once he was aware of it. Both teams were pretty equal in skills, it seemed, both managing to get the ball back and forth, only to have it stolen again.
Making one of those "head to the hoops, I'll meet you there" gestures, Erys flew off quickly to the other side of the pitch, getting close enough now to catch a pass if Ricky had indeed got it. Waving him to pass it to her - if he had possession, of course - the Slytherin would then throw it at the hoops. This was only possible if things went acording to plan. If not, then she'd have to try something else.

Helena was rather reluctant to intercept yet another pass from Erys, but she thought to herself, She already hates me anyways, and I need to do this for my team.
Stretching out her just a little (it was thankfully not that hard to catch this time), Helena caught the quaffle easily, holding it firmly as she prepared to quickly pass it before anyone could interfere.
Helena's deep brown eyes met with Girty's for just a moment, and Helena grabbed her change, throwing the quaffle swiftly as she called out Girty's name.
(It's pretty awesome and at the same time kinda funny how active everyone is, hehe.)
