The snitch was fluttering high above the Gryffindor stands, spiralling around the flag poles seemingly trying to entertain its self seeing as the seekers were not putting up much of a chase. As the cheers of another goals sounded out the little golden ball changed direction and dived through the crowds of players heading towards the ground.

This game was certainly running away from her, that was for sure. The metamorphmagus flew towards the goalkeeper and received the pass as Avaleigh put the quaffle back into play. Hufflepuff had scored yet again and now, Jac meant business. The rain was still beating down on them, Jac's dirty blond hair was tied behind her head to keep it out of her face, pity her fringe just didn't co-operate - ever!
Jac flew towards the Ravenpuff goals with a fury. Her purple robes had been soaking up the water as it fell on her and that certainly held her back from being as fast as she could have other wise have been. Even so, had the rain not been falling it would not have helped her evade the opponants closing in on her. It was her only chance to pass. Jac was depending on two Slytherins to be useful, something that was constantly exceedingly tricky.
Jac looked around for more purple robes and the orange became exceedingly prevalent in her line of sight. Ha! Purple. Jac pointed her broom down, flying towards the ground, but she didn't come anywhere near it. She levelled off and seeing a team mate threw the quaffle up towards the purple robes, hoping they would get it.

Grunting slightly as the cold rain began to make her fingers ache and mould around the broom handle, she threw the slytherin an evil glare before shooting off after her and following the quaffle from a couple of feet below. Luckily she had tied her hair up but even the odd curls managed to sprout free and became straight as she raced through the air.
Tilting her head up, she saw the slytherin pass to Jac, and Ali never took her eyes off the Gryffindor, even when rain was spitting into them. As Jac sped up with some force, Ali had some trouble keeping up, but she managed to catch up just in time to see Jac searching for a familiar teammate of hers. Getting ready to race up and intercept the pass, Ali calmed her nerves and took a deep breath, calculating the exact moment to swoop in....3....2....1.
As she spun upwards, she caught the quaffle halfway between jac and her teammate, blowing a raspberry at the pair before zooming up higher and swinging back the other way. Looking behind, she had got quite a way away from them but the purple robes were gaining fast. Pushing through, she raced on towards nearer to the goals, looking for someone to take the quaffle away from her. Spotting a glimpse of orange nearing her, she threw it hard in their direction.

The joys of your team scoring a goal always helped raise moral and that was needed when the weather was as rubbish as it was today. Cheering with the crowd Girty swooped back into position ready for the quaffle to come back into play. Jac was the first purple player to head off and it looked like she meant business even in all this rain. The Hufflepuff tried to chase down her friend but a purple robed player flew in front of her and just like magic Jac disappeared from site.
Grumbling to herself Girty sped along guessing the general direction that Jac would be going in would be towards the goal hoops. However there was a cheer from the Hufflepuff stands and that could only mean one thing, they had gained possession. Tugging on her broom handle she spun around and was now facing the other way, looking around for the orange player who had the quaffle. She spotted Jamie and his hands were empty so it must have been Ali. Urging her broom on through the rain Girty saw her and the quaffle that was getting closer and closer.
Reaching out Girty caught the ball and tucked it under her arm before weaving her way between the opposition. Looking nervously over her shoulder she could see the purple players getting closer and that was a cue for her to pass. Jamie and Ali were now flying close to each other, which did provide better odds to one of them catching the quaffle, so with as much strength as she could muster this late in the game the Hufflepuff passed the quaffle to her team mate.

The weight of the bat was starting to make her arm ache. But, she just clenched her jaw and ground her teeth, fighting past her exhaustion. At the moment, she was hovering attentively near the goals, watching as her team mates flitted from place to place. Her fingers curled more tightly onto the bat as she waited for an opportunity to arise. So far, she hadn’t had a clear enough shot to actually hope to hit anyone.
And then, there it was. The bludger was in sight, and in a few short moments she would have a perfect shot. She leaned forward eagerly and sped toward the bludger, trying to calculate the perfect time to hit. Almost there…just a few more seconds. A smirk flashed across the pale face of the veela and she wound her arm back.
With a defining crack, the bludger connected with her bat and was sent flying. Her aim had been to hit Jac, which she muttered an apology for under her breath. The Gryffindor chaser seemed to be one of the best on the team, hence why she had to go. Felicity’s arm ached in protest after the hit, but cheers from the Ravenclaws in the stands made her grin. She spun her broom around and hovered a little higher. Her gaze remained mostly on the three Hufflepuff chasers as they sped toward the goal.

Robes flapping wildly behind her Erys swerved over the bludger as it went for Jac, and she cupped her hands to her mouth to shout, "Jac, heads up!" To her team-mate before she got bludgeoned by the little bugger. Throwing her arms out the Slytherin caught the pass that Girty had intended for Kennedy or Griffiths, and she veered back towards their hoops, hoping the Gryffindor was behind her or at least close. "Jac!" Erys called again, gaining speed as she soared close by her to give her the quaffle. Readying herself for another pass the Slytherin spiralled away, keeping an eye out for bludgers or angry players as she gained altitude on the pitch for a moment to scout things out. She was still following after Jac though, just higher up. Dropping down after assuring herself it was safe--but not without another look of course--Erys shot after the Gryffindor, not very far away at all to catch the second pass.
Locking eyes with her and giving a small nod Erys waited for the quick pass, hoping Hubbles didn't take it away. Really, she hated the whole Clan of them, PeachPuff idiots. Then again they probably hated her too, so.. Yeah. The wind teased at her hair and her robes, and Erys moved a little to face the right way so she didn't get anything in her face. Pass, Jac, Pass!

Girty watched as the quaffle fell into the wrong hands once again. With a small groan she urged her broom forwards to start to chase after the purple team chasers. The wind was cold as it hit her face but she had it fight on, for the sake of Hufflepuff if not for her own pride. Weaving her way in between the opposition Girty stayed close to the tail end bristles of Erys broom.
She was trying to keep an eye on everything else around her and as they passed the quaffle to her team mate Girty used her years of experience on the Quidditch pitch to come into play and with a surge of speed the Hufflepuff dived forward, just getting the tips of her fingers on the Quaffle and desperately she fumbled with the red ball bringing it close to her.
With a small smug grin Girty did a sharp turn on her broom and headed back towards the hoops ready to help set up another attack for the Hufflepuff/Ravenclaw side. Looking over her right hand shoulder Girty saw a blur of Orange and knowing that it was now or never she passed the Quaffle to them.

Damn that Hubbles! Of course she'd take it back. Whirling around angrily the Slytherin tore after the orange robes that possessed the quaffle, keeping close enough to tear the bristles off the end of the broom but not enough that she would collide with her if Hubbles stopped suddenly. Swerving to the side as she saw her arm crank back Erys lifted up and snatched it at a faster speed, increasing velocity and plunging down to the ground, pulling up on her broom handle to ease herself up out of the fast nose dive and kick off quickly across the pitch. "Jac!" Erys shouted, spiralling up around one of the poles of the other team's hoops and tossing it to her. Moving around so that she was open for another pass or readying herself to tear after someone who intercepted it the Slytherin waited, watching.
The game was always like this! All it was, was a game of muggle ping pong. Back and forth, back and forth, their poor brooms! If only they could find more active players then Jac and her would have some rest, at least for only a moment. Erys angled her broom to get a better view of the pitch, hands wrapped tightly around the handle to start off after whoever might take it away again.

Girty guess this was why you played Quidditch, for the fun of it, the thrill of the competition and a way of letting off your aggression. The problem was when someone you hated was on the opposite team to you as then whenever they did something you would just want to strike back with extra effort. For the spectators Girty guessed it made a fun game to watch but for those playing it got tiresome. The Hufflepuff for example was sick of seeing her passes ending up in the hands of a purple robed player, even when it was Jac who caught it Girty wanted to slap her…although that would all be forgiven at the end of the game.
Swerving in between the other players that occupied the pitch Girty dodged a wild Bludger, all the while keeping her eyes on Erys. With a small grin (she was enjoying it no matter how much she moaned) Girty chased after the purple team player, ready to intercept the pass when it came…and it did.
Diving in Girty jumped in the way, feeling the Quaffle hit her chest and fall down onto her lap. The wind had been knocked out of her but she had felt worse on many occasions so this was nothing really. Making sure the Quaffle was safe the Hufflepuff flew off towards the hoops once more ready to try and score that all important goal. Looking to her left Girty saw an orange team member and with a small shout Girty threw the Quaffle towards them before getting in position once again when needed.

Watching impatiently as the game kicked off once again, Ali kept close to Erys in attempt to mark her. With gritted teeth she bared the cold and the splatters of rain as she sped forwards now moving inbetween Erys and Jac...
Waiting for the right moment, she saw Girty steal the ball and caught the cheeky look on her face. The possession made Ali grin and she soon sped off back near Girty for her to pass.
As the pair sped forwards, Girty looked increasingly worried at the purple following them. "GIRTY, OVER HERE!" Ali shouted over the wind, waving her arm as Girty threw the quaffle low. Ducking and catching it just in time, Ali sped off to continue the game and was on the lookout for more orange.
And there it was....without hesitation, she threw it.

It wasn't the right colour that got the quaffle; it was an orange body that stole the pass and Jac cursed under her breath about it. Jac followed suit and tried to get the ball back when it was passed the the next orange person, Girty, but she failed miserably. Luckily for her, Erys was there to get it back before they got too close to their goals.
They were on the defence and it was a little agrivating but what could they do but play? Jac was in posision to receive Erys' pass but a certain Puffle got in the way. Girty Hubbles once again foiled her plans. Girty passed it before Jac could give chase. Ali received the quaffle but when she passed again Jac stole the quaffle out of the air and tucked it under her arm.
Flying towards the Ravenpuff's goals again, Jac watched Girty out of the corner of her eye. If anyone was going to ruin this it would be here. Erys came into view again and Jac nodded at her. She weeved in and out of the stand boxes and when she came in a second time she threw the ball towards the Slytherin.

Gulping back the frustration creeping up at the PeachPuffs Erys soared after, hoping Jac would intercept it--and she did! Throwing her arms up to catch the pass the Slytherin hugged it to her chest, keeping one hand around the broom handle as she shot off with the Gryffindor in tow. "Jac!" She shouted once they were closer to the other team's hoops. Whipping her hand out to throw the ball at her she hoped she would catch it, as this game was getting a little tiring, and predictable, as it was. Robes flapping as she headed closer to receive another pass Erys watched the skies for Girty and the Puff squad, narrowing them as the orange robes came into view.
Waving her arm for the other pass she waited for Jac to get it or lose it, and steadied her broom. Where was Fay with those bludgers? Seemed she was lost amidst all the action. Bah, like it mattered anyway, she just had to watch out for the sound of a loud CRACK and the sight of a bludgering ricocheting towards her.

The pass came to Girty from Ali and she could feel the pressure building up, her heart was racing faster then anything and as she watched her team mate fly in the fray Girty followed ready for the pass. Erys and Jac were close by and as the quaffle was thrown towards her there was a purple blur and Girty knew by the colour of the hair it was Jac. With a small groan at how close they had become to the hoops and scoring once again Girty lowered her head and started the pursuit of Jac.
The Gryffindor was quick and nimble but the Hufflepuff was able to keep up, they had done enough training sessions with one another in the past to know their own strengths and weakness, they could read each other like a book and Girty was going to use this but Jac passed sooner then she thought and Erys got the quaffle. Chasing down the other chaser Girty ready herself, this time they would not get the ball. As Erys passed it Girty made her reached out and this time got in the way!
With quaffle safe in her hand Girty tunred around and headed back to the hoops, waiting for the an orange player to pass to. Then right on cue Ali appeared and Girty made the pass towards her.

If Ali cursed, now would be the time. It was getting rather dull up here, and this was no doubt going to be a game that went down in the history books of one of the longest. As she huffed in exhaustion, the cold air hit her lungs hard and suddenly gave her a new lease of life.
Springing back, she flipped backwards and was on the chase once again after the quaffle. Jac now had possession and again, Ali flew by the side of the slytherin, with the wind now fully blasting in her face. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Orange next to purple; Girty chasing Jac.
As the quaffle raised through the air, Girty sped after it, snapping it up before it landed comfortably into Erys' hands. Ali laughed at the slytherin and sped off the opposite way, infront of Girty incase she needed her...
The whoops and cheers became increasingly louder, and Ali grinned to herself as she stole a quick glance around. Suddenly she was met with the quaffle and managed to grab it before racing off towards the hoops.

Erys received the pass and Jac contiued on her looping flight pattern. In and out and back in again, following Erys down the pitch. Girty was getting annoyingly close but she didn't focus on that. Erys flew with certainty that Jac certainly admired. Jac was too busy concentrating on flying that she didn't even realise Erys was passing already.
Girty got there by the time Jac had realised. This was going no where. Jac turned around and followed Girty down the pitch waiting for a window but it came sooner then expected and Ali got the quaffle again. Jac flew right behind the witch as she flew on, tailing her, prepared to intercept when the chance came.
Jac got her chance and, stretching out an arm, she stole the pass and tucked it under her arm, feeling how far away the goals where. She and Erys would have to work hard to get anywhere, especiallyw ith the two hounds on their tails the whole time. Jac flew flew low to the ground and, as a flying ball came at her, she threw the quaffle to the Slytherin before diving out of the way.
