With the quaffle in her possession - and Ellie hurriedly wiping at her stinging eyes, to her immediate delight - Erys hugged the ball to her chest, this time heading a little slower to the other end of the pitch. She kept her eyes open for other players, ready to duck, roll, or dodge, in case the 'Puff seeker caught up with her and decided to try and play tough girl for throwing sand in her eyes. Hah. Watching the periph, Erys also made a note to keep an eye out for bludgers. Everything was calm for the moment, and she kept moving, quickening her soar every so often before slowing it to a calmer pace. Quidditch was about aggression, and strategy. Without either, you could never be the player you aspired to be. Thankfully Erys possessed both.
Angling her broom away from a random orange player, the animagus was closer to the three hoops now, but she couldn't score yet. "Jac?" Erys shouted to her team mate, wondering if any of the other chasers would kindly be willing to assist her. HOUSE POINT UPDATE- - - Gryffindor - - - | - - - Hufflepuff - - - | - - - Ravenclaw - - - | - - - Slytherin - - -

The snitch flew towards the other side of the pitch at high speed, bobbing up and down ever so slightly. It ducked under the keeper dressed in purple, and flew around the right hoop, finally hovering 10 feet or so behind the goals.

Sarie was on the snitch's tail. She almost flew in the the other teams keeper she dived right before. She was the snitch floating next to the third hoop. She didn't dive she waited.

Jamie-Syrus roared loudly with happiness as the quaffle soared through the hoop once again. Flying straight over to Girty in her bright orange robes, he high fived her and embraced her fleetingly. It was not the easiest of things to hug on broomsticks. The lack of grip caused some issues with the whole concept.
Jamie had been concentrating so much upon bringing them up bu another goal, that he had not noticed the handicap of Ellie until now, she was rubbing her eyes in earnest. Erys was glancing back at her continuously with a sly smirk on her face. If this was no give away then what was. Good sportsmanship had been lost in this match apparently. Jamie shot away and he did so he noticed Erys in possession of the quaffle once more. ‘Time to take one for the team! No one hurts a Hufflepuff and gets away with it!’ He muttered to himself.
Jamie- Syrus dove in her direction at some speed, he did not think that she had yet noticed him, he pulled up to her level and smiling at her mockingly, he shoulder barged her. Knocking the wind straight out of her. Taking hold of the quaffle as he did so. Jamie turned tail and flew back in the direction he had come for. Searching the skies for Girty. Catching the site of an orange clad player, he less the quaffle loose once again.

Girty let out more of a sigh of relief then cheer when the quaffle soared through the hoop, she hated it when games were as close as this as they gave her no time to relax and just take in the sites. But now they had a bit more breathing space in the scores Girty did not see the problem with a little bit of celebration with Jamie. During the hug Girty had found herself slipping off her broom ever so slightly and when Jamie moved away it took her a while to regain her balance.
Jamie however seemed to be on the ball, quite literally and was flying along side Erys using a bit of force to get the quaffle back. That was the true Hubbles spirit coming out, if they did something to a Hufflepuff you gave it as good as it gets back and seeing as they had tried to blind Ellie they would pay. Flying a little bit higher then Jamie Girty watched just waiting for him to pass it towards her and when she spotted him glancing around she shouted his name just to make sure he knew it was her she waited for the red ball to come towards her.
Grasping it in her hands Girty pulled her broom back round to the direction she had just come from and headed back to the all to familiar sight of the Slytherin/Gryffindor goals. Serving her way around a few purple players Girty glanced over her shoulder to see Jamie following close behind her. Signalling to her left with her free hand Girty charged towards the right hoop and at the last minute volleyed the quaffle over to where she was expecting Jamie to be.

Glad to see that Girty had been paying attention and caught the quaffle which he had intended for her to get. He cheered a little bit of encouragement after her, though he had slowed slightly to do this, which one must say was not the wisest of things to do, he only narrowly avoided a bludger, generally he would have looked around for his attacker, but Girty would need his help if they were to score again.
Jamie-Syrus was not generally a vicious player when it came to quidditch, generally very gentlemanly like infact. However the insubordination of Erys had annoyed him greatly. To launch a personal attack on a person when they had done no wrong was simply not to be born. This new dislike for Erys’ conduct gave him more encouragement than usual, to score the next goal. Jamie flew with all the speed he could muster toward the goals once again as back up for Girty, he watched as she swerved easily through the opposition. Coming from a large family had its uses after all! Family quidditch was always competitive and it definitely taught them how to play the game well.
Jamie drew up level with Girty just in time to see the quaffle leave her hands and fly right towards him. The throw had been combated slightly by the wind and so it drew up short and Jamie had to fly forward to make up the distance, though this was of little importance. The quaffle was then tucked under his arm and with a smile at Girty, he flew the last few yards to the hoops, and thrust the ball through the far left hoop. Goal! 20 - 70 - Posession is given to Gryffindor/Slytherin.

Sand still stinging her eyes, Ellie squinted trying to see the small snitch. She blinked, but it was hopeless. Now instead of sand in her eyes, they were blurry with tears. She lifted her arm and rubbed them away. A goal had been scored for her team by the time she could properly see again. She would get Erys, perhaps not on the pitch, but sometime, Ellie had enough of the Slytherin hospitality.
Ellie saw the Gryffindor girl fly fast toward something. She must see it. Ellie flew toward where the girl was looking, cutting her off from the left side. A head of her now, Ellie saw the snitch. It was just ahead. Ellie dove down, avoiding the opposing keeper. [OCC: Sarie...you are purple...] Apparently, this threw off the other seeker, who almost hit. Smiling Ellie chased after the snitch, spotting it hovering, just waiting to be caught a few feet beyond the goal hoops. Red eyes and all, Ellie sped forward.

Jac had fallen behind and the team had suffered for it. When the opportunity arose for her to get ahead again she took it by the horns and ran with it ... well, she more received the quaffle when the goally passed it and flew off on her broom. She flew as fast as she could, weaving in and out of the pitch around the stands. The crowd went wild, cheering and clapping and the Gryffindor couldn't help but laugh.
She saw a team mate, wearing their colours proudly. Jac passed the quaffle, knowing the pass was too smooth to go astray, and she smiled, winked, and flew a head a bit. She wasn't going to fall behind again, she wasn't going to let Girty have those bragging rights over her till they play again. She wasn't going to stand for anything of the sort, so hard work was ahead.

Much too smooth to go astray, indeed. Erys had already whipped her hands out to snatch the quaffle mid-air, leaning back with the impact as she hugged the ball to her chest and absorbed the weight. Adjusting herself while still in motion, the Slytherin sped forward, keeping close to Jac and watching for anyone who might try to play dirty and bump it out of her hands. Once closer to the goal posts, the animagus would all but press herself against Jac, quickly passing her the quaffle and soaring closer to the posts for another pass if needed.
This game was really starting to drone on.

Erys received the pass beautifully and Jac smirked proudly. She knew that if being proud was a sin she was going to go to hell for all eternity for all her pride but here it was warranted. These two worked well together, surprising though it was for they were in waring houses and few could stand the peer pressure. Neither Jac nor Erys gave into that sort of thing, they were far too stubborn and hardheaded for that.
Jac flew ahead, watching the other players as they got nearer and nearer to the goals. Erys passed the quaffle and Jac caught it, tucking it tightly under her arm. It was Erys who flew ahead now, positioning herself in front of the goal posts. Jac pulled back her arm and threw the quaffle hard, using her beater trained muscles, towards Erys.

The purple team seemed to find some speed and they were moving forwards yet again. Girty followed closely to the tail of Jac as they weaved in and out of the other players on the pitch, the Gryffindor and Slytherin fans seemed to sense a potential goal strike and their cheers grew louder which seemed to give Jac that extra bit of speed.
Jac passed the quaffle onto Erys (and even for the opposition Girty could not help but give Jac a small clap for the high quality of the pass) and the Hufflepuff soon had to change her target and chase after the Slytherin. They were getting closer and closer to the goals and Girty knew she would pass it again and lo and behold there came the pass back to Jac. Quickly swapping target Girty followed Jac only for the Gryffindor then to pass it back to Erys again.
It was a very powerful pass and had a lot of force behind it and Girty felt it when she dived in the way of it. Fumbling with the quaffle Girty used some very choice words and rubbed her chest where the quaffle had hit, she would get a bruise there in the morning but now was not the time to worry about it she needed to get the team back on track again.
Looking through the sheets of rain Girty tried to find Jamie-Syrus so they could try and string a load of passes together to pull another goal ahead. Making her way down the pitch she tried to block out the sound of the Slytherin’s booing her and focus on just getting the bloody quaffle through the hoop. Glancing to her left she saw her cousin flying a little lower down and with a whistle to get his attention the quaffle was flying in his direction.

Jamie-Syrus was flying close to the Hufflepuff supporters after his goal soaking up a bit of the applause. But he knew as well as they did that this could not last long as Jac had brought the ball back into play and she was heading up the pitch with Girty close on her tail. Jamie-Syrus thought it best to cover Erys and flew a few metes behind her ready to tackle if need be,.
Luckily Girty intercepted the pass form Jac and was heading back towards the goals. Thumping the air in celebration that they had possession again Jamie-Syrus pulled his broom around and followed his cousin. At her whistle he knew what was coming and prepared himself for a pass and just like in the Hubbles family games the cousins knew just what the other would do. The pass was simple yet effective and Jamie-Syrus held onto the quaffle as he flew off getting closer and closer to the purple team goals. The cheers from the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw’s grew louder and louder and this just spurred him on even more.
After a close call with a Bludger Jamie-Syrus looked over his shoulder looking for Girty, at the sight of an orange Girty shaped blur he flicked his wet fringe out of his eyes to stop it from blocking his vision and then quickly passed the red ball over towards his cousin.

Simple yet effective, those were the types of passes Girty liked and she could just imagined Dan jumping up and down in the stand screaming at them to just get on with it. With a very painful breath (her chest was now hurting more then her shoulder) the Hufflepuff urged herself on into the rain and followed Jamie as he made his way towards the goals. After a very close call with a Bludger he tossed the quaffle over towards her and with a burst of speed to lose the purple player who was marking her she reached out and picked the quaffle from the air.
With a wide grin at Jamie and gave him a small thumbs up Girty tossed the quaffle from one hand to the other and picked her hoop. She settled for the right hoop and pulling her arm back she sent the quaffle flying off towards it hoping that the keeper did not stop it from its course.
Goal! 20 - 80 - Posession is given to Gryffindor/Slytherin.

Girty intercepted her pass and Jac cursed under her breath. She knew that after the game she would have to rugby tackle Girty a few times just because she could but that was for afterwards. Right now she flew after the quaffle carrier and tried to get it back.
Jamie got the quaffle and Jac was on his tail like a cat with a fire cracker tied to its tail. She couldn't get the quaffle when it was passed again but she rounded the two flying towards the goals. The quaffle left Girty's hand and flew towards the goal. Jac caught it and tucked it under her arm, flying towards the other goals. She wanted to get it as far away from her goals as she could.
She knew that the two would be on her quickly so she looked for Erys. Seeing her, or purple that looked like her, Jac glanced behind her. Flipping upside down and circling around her team mate, to put the other team off, Jac passed the quaffle to her team mate and flew ahead, to receive the pass.

Kicking off quickly, cursing that they had been intercepted yet again, Erys waited until Jac had the quaffle back in her possession - as she was positive she would - before getting herself back in position to catch it. Which she did, beautifully one might add, before swerving around to head back to the other end of the pitch. Robes flapping wildly as she picked up speed, the Slytherin looked over with the hopes of seeing the metamorph there, waiting only until she saw the bright red hair before tossing it over to her with an, "Oy! Heads up!" beforehand.
Making her way further ahead to them, she waited for the pass if need be.
