Who were going to be paired together. To her it was no matter ok that was a lie it mattered that she didn't get paired with any Slytherins because they were pretty much just evil. Last thing she wanted was to be stuck alone in a labyrinth with one, they might just hex her and leave her there to be attacked might think something like that was funny. Waiting with bated breath she looked at the names being paired when her name came up she moved forward her eyes widened and when she got Shaun she breathed. How lucky could she be not only didn't she get a Slytherin she got the one person she would have asked to be paired with if they were given the option.
Alexis had a crush on Shaun and well some time alone even if it was for class wouldn't hurt would it? No she didn't think so plus she could see his skills and he could see hers. They'd be partners trying to help each other get through this elaborate labyrinth. Going up to him a bit nervous she said "of all the luck huh. you ready to do this partner?"

Yes, Shaun was a bit nervous to who he'd be paired with. It wasn't uncommon to hear stories about the other students, especially the slytherins but, like the professor said, it wouldn't pay to complain about your partner. The partners were named and instantly Shaun let go of the breath he was holding. Alexis. Thankfully it was someone he knew he'd get along with.
Shaun watched as she walked over to him and smiled, "Hey," he said as he stuck his hands in his pockets. "Yep, lets get this over with. I have to say, I'm not too fond of this Labyrinth idea," he answered with a nervous laugh.
Instantly they were transported into the Labyrinth and soon Shaun was staring at the walls that towered high above them. Great, he thought to himself. He sighed and gave a faint smile in his partners direction. There were two paths leading from where they were standing. To the left, there was a path that looked rather innocent. No fog, no light at the end of the 'tunnel' just a normal path. To their right was a more... disturbing looking one.
"Uhh..." was all he could get out. From muggle movies he had watched before, usually taking the path that looks less difficult usually ended in major injuries but then again, there were movies where more disturbing paths lead to death. Death or Injury? Or both?? Shaun gulped down his slight fear.
"Okay," Shaun looked from his left to his right. For a Hufflepuff, he wasn't the greatest with logic nor was he brave like a Gryffindor, nor did he have the stupidity of a Slytherin to just say... 'Right, this way it is.' He was a hufflepuff, one of loyalty and trustworthy, when would that come in handy in a Labyrinth filled with dragons, boggarts and a rather disturbed headmaster?

Sarie was heading down the path. Running her hands on the wall to make sure she hadn't missed any thing. "I don't think we went the right way." She turned to her partner. She sighed. She felt useless and she slid down the wall.

They were suddenly gone from the classroom but she wasn't ready. Something like this you had to mentally prepare yourself for it. You had to think things through find out the logistics. Just shooting off into the Labyrinth gave her no time to do that so now she felt lost completely out of her element. She couldn't study this so she was unsure how to proceed. This wasn't a pleasant feeling, not being in complete control was scary actually. Even with Shaun there the task seemed almost impossible. Anything could happen in there they were lost and who knew what had been placed in there to trip them up.
Her heart began to beat faster and she suddenly felt hot all over, her breathing became ragged and she felt as if she could just pass out at any minute. This was one of those panic attacks she hadn't had one in months, the medicine she had been given seemed to take care of them, but the thought of being stuck in the labyrinth (though she knew the professor would never let anything happen to them) even though she knew it was an irrational thought made the attack return. She didn't want Shaun to know so she tried to keep it together.
When he suggested a way for them to go Alexis simply nodded not able to use her voice as of yet. Her head felt light and she started to feel almost dizzy she was completely unable to focus but somehow her feet were moving and she was walking along with him. Not even paying attention to where they were going all of this was so out of character for her but she was trying to make the panic stop. Her face looked suddenly pale and she was afraid she was about to pass out.

Sarie ran up the middle of the path way. She couldn't find any thing. She hoped she was going the right way. She hoped her partner would follow. She wasn't watching where she was going and found a turn in the path. "Ow..." She rubbed her head. "Come on. This isn't my day."
She followed the turn then other and came to a cross road. "Which way? Which way?" She took her wand and put it on it's point. "Lets have fate tell me." It fell to the right and that was the way she took. "Lets hope fate likes me to day."

So far they had been doing rather well, they were one puzzle down and had gone through a correct door way. In the distance Alice could hear the other students in the Labyrinth casting spells and shouting at one another, she was even convinced that at one point she swore she saw a Dragon sly over ahead. But there was no point in paying any attention to what the others were doing, they needed to focus on their tasks and make sure they were the first ones to the castle and win the first prize.
With a look of determination, her wand held tightly in her hand and a bag of odds and ends still limply clinging onto her shoulder the little Hufflepuff ran down the corridor of the Labyrinth. This was one of the most exiting things she had done in a very long time, but also there were more nerves in her belly then the first time she came to Hogwarts and this only increased when they reached yet another junction. They had three choices ahead of them and Alice frantically moved her head from one to the other trying to determine which one would be the best way to take.
“I fink…” She panted. “We keep goin stright on, that is the most direct way to the middle and that is the point ain’t it?” Her hands where on her hips and she looked over at the Ravenclaw with a slight frown on her face.

Some of the Students now entered the Labyrinth have begun their quest to reach the Castle in the Labyrinth.
Bryn Kennedy && Erys Grace Your use of intellect and working together, though you may not want to, has been rewarded. When you follow your wands direction north, you realise you're at a dead end, though upon closer inspection you see a two buttons with the words, "do not push" over the left one, and "push me" over the right one. Which one do you push? Gryffindor + 5 Slytherin + 5
Morgana Croft && Jase Tyler Wilde You choose straight on, which is a bad choice. Once the two of you begin to walk, the walls close in around you. Boxing you in with no way out. Now, there is no obvious signs on how to get out of here. No creatures and no puzzles. Is this a sign of the Labyrinth telling you that you have to put aside your differences and work as a team?
Shaun Zinn && Alexis Heart So, you two have now successfully entered the Labyrinth and you chose to go right. You realse once you start to walk, that the path is slowly getting narrower and narrower. There, on the wall. Two Runic symbols, Fehu and Ansuz. They seem to be pointless, but upon closer inspection you notice them glowing. What do you do?
Polaris Stormwrath && Alice Simmons So you chose straight on. Once you begin walking, a creature with a razor claws steps out. Saying: "You chose this path, but this one leads to the way back." Now, you have been warned that some creatures lie, and some tell the truth. So, do you believe him and turn back to choose a different route? Or do you think he's lying and continue forward?

Grinning like the cat who got the cream, Via turned back to Jason feeling proud of the pair of them, but mostly how Jason concured his fear of birds. "Well done Jason, you did amazing! I'm so proud of you!" she beamed, then realising how odd it sounded for her to be saying that to a Slytherin. Pausing for a moment, she was glad he hadn't hexed her for probably dimeaning him, and she turned back to their now clear pathway.
As the walked, it seemed like the path went on for over a mile before they came to another crossroads. "Well then, I'll leave it up to you again!"

An abrupt halt and Morgana seemed to think her eyes were playing tricks on her. Spinning around, she soon realised that infact the walls were closing in on them, and she half expected them not to stop. She, being a Cobra animagus however, would be able to slip through the bushes with ease, but that would leave Jase to be crushed to death by shrubbery. She smirked at the thought, but realised they would need to work together to solve this one, and fast.
"This just gets better doesn't it?" she said, a rhetorical question in her eyes. "So how do we solve this one einstein?" she said playfully. Yes, Morgana was actually being sincere for once, it was Jase's lucky day!
