The two were quickly cornered as the path behind them sealed itself off, leaving them stranded with.. math. Great. Math. Math math math math. She hated it and quite frankly, wasn't good at it at all. She whimpered as she saw the problem presented to them and looked down to Alice with wide, puppy dog eyes. Alice simply smiled and continued to look at the problem, working it out in her head. Polaris, too, was working it out, though none of it had really clicked with her. That is, until Alice spoke outloud her adding. “I ain’t the best Mathematician in the world but I know Seventeen plus Eleven is Twenty-Eight…but the others don’t seem to work like that.”"That's it, wee ooflypoof! The first one is indeed sixteen. The second is twenty nine! You see the pattern?!" Polaris' eyes lit up and so did her expression. From a glum, death anticipating expression to an over zealous one, the animagus and hufflepuff had figured it out! Now, just how to push the panels in the right order. Nervous, Polaris stepped forward. She already knew she solved the problem, but wasn't quite sure as to how to push the panels. In numerical order? That was the only way she could think of 'order'. Hoping that the two were right, Polaris reached her hand out. "It's okay, Polaris, just do it numerical order." The younger girl said in attempt to calm the wolf. Before pushing the first panel, she frowned. "That's too easy, wait." She then stepped back with a sigh. "There has to be some other way. Maybe.. this is it.. Alice had supported her before, and naturally she did it again when Polaris approached the numbers once more. Of course, Alice was the true mastermind behind this, gods knew Polaris couldn't solve her way out of a wet paper bag. Swallowing nervously, the Ravenclaw reached out and pushed the panels in the order the couple had believed to be right.

Some of the Students now entered the Labyrinth have begun their quest to reach the Castle in the Labyrinth.
Polaris Stormwrath && Alice Simmons You faced your first challenge, and instead of rushing in and pushing the pannels haphazardly, you thought your way through it. The panels seem to expand and infront of you now lies four doors. Numbers, 28 29 16 and 21, there is no puzzle and no game, this is just pure luck. Two of the four doors will lead you to safety, two will lead you to danger. Which number will you pick?
Via Thorn && Jason Walker You have sucessfully beaten your boggarts and Dragons, which proved to be a difficult task. Not only did you use your own experiance, you used your brains too. Though the cry of the mandrake would not have killed you, only made you sleepy, you did not know that. The wall infront of you opens up, giving you a pathway. However. Your dragon was not happy about being thrown away, though you made it dissapear, it did not go very far, and soon the Welsh Green comes back for another go at you.

Sighing, Morgana flicked her wand at her trainers to tie them tight. She had a feeling she would have to do a lot of physical work in here, and at least working out with Jay on the odd occasion would work in her favour.
The path infront of them seemed to go on forever, and in attempt to finish this labyrinth quicker, she began to jog. "Come on Jase, we'll get nowhere if we walk everywhere" she signalled him to follow, and she actually smiled. As Jase sighed and was seen with somewhat of a smirk across his face, he jogged and caught up with her at her pace. As he caught up the pair stopped.
"This path goes on forever!" Jase huffed. "That's not a good sign Jase" Morgana replied.

Being transported was a weird sensation, but finally feeling normal again, Cristian realised he was now on solid ground once more. Clutching his wand at the ready, his stance was similar to that of a super heroes.
"You ready Daph?" he said with a cheeky smirk. Grabbing her hand he began to run down the short path and turned left, the only way the could. Soon after, he started to slow down and let go of Daphne's hand. Doubling over for a second, he panted.
"Okay....remind...me....not to...run...anymore"

Narrowing her eyes venemously as the Gryffindor peered around the corner and gave the a-okay, she nudged him forward anyhow, following soon after. But it wasn't long until the floor began to crack under their feet, and soon they were plummeting down, Erys on Bryn's back, basically perching on him through the drop. Before they hit the ground together she twisted away from him, landing gracefully on her feet and wrinkling her nose at the smell. Her catlike eyes reflecting a thin sliver of faded light from above, as the area below the Labyrinth was quite the different story from above it. Where there chasms down here as well, or just a straight path through it? Staring down at the dead rodents beneath her feet, gagging at the smell, the Slytherin's eyes snapped over to Bryn, fixing him with a scrutinizing glare. "You said it was all clear." She remarked cooly, flashing a smirk as he lit his wand to see, "Guess you don't have this under control either."
Staring at her surroundings for a moment Erys waited for him to compose himself before beginning to set off again. While everyone ran around hopelessly above, what would they find underneath? Besides, it was too steep a slope to climb, and much too time-consuming to levitate themselves back up. "Lets go." She muttered, keeping a careful watch around her while being immensely glad of her ability to see in the dark. The disgusting stench overcame her and she paused, choking a gag back down in her throat. Sometimes heightened senses weren't a good thing. Continuing forward and avoiding the right turn this time, the Slytherin made sure they were both walking beside each other, wondering if that was why they had fallen in the first place; their failure to work together. Well isn't this great. She thought with an inward grimace, hating the fact that she had to work with one of them. One that was likely to stir up trouble with Snakes, too. Disgusting.
Erys didn't blink as she turned her head to peer down the left hallway, staring out into the black abyss and looking to catch any movements, no matter the intensity. Even a little twitch would turn her away from that corridor. But she didn't see anything, and she nodded to Bryn, choosing to go left.

Happily finding they had defeated the dragon and the boggarts together, Via grinned and turned to Jason. She could hug him right about now, but for some reason she got the idea he wasn't one for hugs. Pausing for a moment, slightly breathless at what they just did, a nervous laugh broke free and Via wiped her head.
"Birds? You, a slytherin, are scared of birds?" she laughed. Of course she wasn't laughing at him, but she just couldn't imagine the tall boy afraid of anything like birds. As they continued walking another familiar loud thud, the same welsh green dragon.
"Not again!" Via sighed readying her wand again. Thinking quickly, she remembered hearing Jason casting Evanesco, so realising this wouldn't work again, she had to think quick.
"We're going to have to out smart it" she said, before racking her brain.

"Alright I vote left." She walked to the left sof the fork. She hoped she was going the right way from what she felt. The air had become thicker and with this kind of thing that was a good sign.
She did a 360 turn to see what was all around her. It wasn't much just some stone walls. She felt the walls to check and make sure they where soild and not doors faking. She sighed. The stone felt cold and she like the feel of it.

Post by Professor Daniel Hubbles on Jul 3, 2008 19:58:00 GMT
Dan clipped the intercom back onto his belt and gave a small chuckle, he knew that the students would soon be entering the Labyrinth and it would be his turn to shine. Picking a few items out of his trunk that was stored in one of the rooms in the castle Dan placed the bed sheet over himself and picked up his broom. Stepping up onto the window ledge Dan started to see flashes happening at different points in the maze signalling the arrival of the students, and it was with a deep breath the Professor jumped out of the window and started to fall to the ground.
The bed sheet flapped around of him, and his eyes peered out of the holes in the cloth as he judged the moment he needed to get onto his broom. Counting slowly the point in time came and Professor Hubbles pulled the broom close to him and instead of falling he started to surge through the skies laughing on his broom.
Searching through the rows of corridors Dan spotted two students seemingly doing rather well, a smile spread across his face as he made the broom drop lower so his feet touched the top of one of the walls of the Labyrinth and he dismounted his broom. Although hidden by the bed sheet a devilish grin filled the Headmasters face and he jumped down from the wall landing on the ground with only a small thud. Standing up Dan slowly crept through the corridors and towards Erys and Bryn.
“UGABOOGA!!!!” He waved his arms up in the air and tried to make himself as frightening as possible only for him to start laughing. “Trick or Treat?”

Hearing Via's words, Jason knew she wasn't mocking him, simply surprised. The boy coughed and turned his back for a moment. "I was young." He admitted with a faint blush mottling his cheeks. "Anyways!"
He returned his gaze to her just before he heard that familiar sound again. "Well, atleast I know it went somewhere else and not smply disappeared. This spell has proved inadequit to fry other students with." Jason huffed with a slight pout.
"We're going to have to out smart it" she said, before racking her brain.
"I have it. Via, when I blind him, quickly go behind him and then we may unleash what ever we see fit to destroy this beast, okay?" He asked, unsheathing his wand once more, pointing it towards the head of the dragon.
With a swish of his wand, Jason didn't need to vocalize this curse to make it active. It was, of course, a conjunctivitus curse. The dragon roared in pain before it lifted a clawed appendage, scratching at it's eyes to rid it of the stinging sensation.
"Now, Via!"

So, one would assume he was used to being pushed around, having a sister like Brooke, but here he was being pushed by Erys. One of these days... He thought to himself as he turned around to say something, however, his stomache gave a jolt and soon he was plummeting downwards, feeling Erys on his back, using him as a shield. Bryn laughed as they fell and gave a cry of, "Weeeeeeeeeeee" as he fell downwards. Though, unlike Erys, he didnt land on his feet, he landed on his stomach and almost gagged when the smell of dead rat filled his nose. "It was clear!" Bryn protested, "How was I supposed to know the floor was eat us up?" Narrowing his eyes, not that she would see really, "Im not psychic you know, Miss Prissy." So, screw her name, he still couldnt get his mind around it so he would settle for calling her random things instead.
"H-hey!" Bryn called running after her, feeling the bones crunch beneath his feet with horrible cracking sounds, "Dont run orrf!" As he said off, he chocked, so it came out strangely. Walking down the path side by side with the Slytherin, in silence suited him fine. "Left it is," He murmered. The corridor underneath was musty and damp, not to mention cold and Bryn feared he would be smelling like rats for a while. Turning left, walking shoulder to shoulder, he heard something behind him, as he turned around something shouted "UGABOOGA!" at them, Bryn gave a cry and jumped back, "Trick or treat!? I'll give you bloody trick or treat!" Though the thing laughed, raising his wand, Bryn looked to Erys. "Whaddu we do?"

Polaris smiled and cheered for the two briefly before advancing a few feet, only to be met by four doors numbered '28', '29', '16', and '21' respectively. The elder girl looked down to Alice for some help in deciding what door they would be going through. The girl shrugged before pointing to a door.
"21." She stated, somewhat nervous.
Polaris was nervous as well, but figured that they had a 50/50 chance anyways. Why not take the route she decided, after all, they could face anything together!
"Alright, wee one. The door with 21 is what we will be going through!" Polaris said with a smile and faux confidence, knowing that she atleast needed to front some sort of confidence to keep the team moral up.
The two then stepped through the door, Polaris leading, lest something jumped out infront of them, she would get assaulted first.

Smirking coldly as he whined, huffing to catch up, the Slytherin froze in her tracks as she heard the Ugabooga, knowing full well the boggy headmaster was coming. She had attended enough Care of Magical creature lessons, not to mention Dark Arts and Defense Against the Dark Arts, to know that no creature alive could make that sound besides a human with a mind that wasn't all there. If you caught her drift. "Relax, runt. Its Hubbles. Jack warned us he'd be running around asking for candy, remember? Didn't you conjure some before we got in here?" She rolled her eyes with a laugh--Hubbles was quite the funny one, despite him favoring Fluffpuffs and all that--remembering the candies she had stored in her nearly overflowing pockets and quickly reached in for them, collecting the large assembly within both palms and flinging them towards Hubbles. When someone says trick or treat, you give them candy, or else be wary of their imminent wrath. Fortunately Erys had thought ahead beforehand. "Bon appetit!" She said quickly before grabbing Bryn by his jacket and tugging him roughly after her as she dodged around him, barrelling down the corridor to take a quick left and then a right after, in case Mr. Headmaster decided to follow them. Bryn cried out in responce as his favorite jacket was enclosed in her tight fist, fearing that her claws might tear a rip in it or something. Sighing, slowing her pace to a calm walk, she let it go, holding up her hands to show him they were claw-free.
"Relax, we're doing fine."

Some of the Students now entered the Labyrinth have begun their quest to reach the Castle in the Labyrinth.
Jase Tyler-Wilde && Morgana Croft It would appear the path goes on forever, but it doesnt. As the two of you stop everything around you suddenly changes. The walls turn and twist in deafening creaks. The Labyrinth changed once again, leaving you with an option. Left, Right, or straight on.
Via Thorn && Jason Walker You successfully beat back your dragon, blinding it with a conjunctivitis curse, making the dragon scratch its eyes and send it reeling into the wall. Leaving your way clear. Hufflepuff + 10 Slytherin + 10
Polaris Stormwrath && Alice Simmons And what lies behind door number 21 you wonder? More of those fun walls you have come to love ever so much. Well done, you chose the safe route, completing your puzzle! Ravenclaw +10 Hufflepuff + 10
Erys Grace && Bryn Kennedy Just running around like a headless chicken will get you nowhere fast. Hearing a roar, and what sounds like a scraping sound, you realise you have stumbled upon a troll. Though you will be fine unless it notices you, but the smell of dead rat has stayed on your clothing and the troll smells you. Giving a deafening roar, it swings its club at you. If you turn back, you will only end up back in the pit, the only way out is past this troll. How do you cope?
Current Lesson House Point Standings Gryffindor: 40 Slytherin: 50 Ravenclaw: 60 Hufflepuff: 50

Well seeing as there was no obvious pattern or land mark to look off of, there was nothing else they could do but pick somewhere, anywhere, and just go for it. So running around like headless chickens would have to do for now. The smell of crap and urine became suddenly overwhelming, and Erys Grace wrinkled her nose in disgust, seeing the troll a ways infront of them and freezing. Her arm flew out to block Bryn from advancing forward, in case the beast heard them and charged. Unfortunately the rat stink that covered the Gryffindor alerted the thing, and it charged towards them, swinging its club at their heads. Grabbing a fistfull of Bryn's jacket Erys shoved him out of the way, ducking just in time before diving between its legs and standing a ways behind it. "Get up, Bryn, we have to stun it. Watch it club!" She threatened, voice wavering as it swung at him again, but the Gryffindor wasn't slighted by a heavy bat and he rolled out of the way before standing on the other side of troll.
Whipping out her wand the Slytherin pointed it quickly at the troll, eyes blazing as she shouted, "Avis!" and instantly a flock of white birds shot out of the tip of her wand, flapping and squawking wildly as they bombarded the troll haphazardly. Bryn too was on his feet, wand aimed at the thing as he muttered, "Confundo." and sent it hurling at the beast, if he wasn't already too confused with the flock of birds flapping around his face. It was odd, them finally working together. Hoping it worked, both of them ready to dodge another blow incase the troll hadn't been confused, she searched her mind for another spell. The stun one was lost on her lips, and Erys panicked, shooting the first spell that came to mind at the troll, which by pure luck turned out to be a spell that turned him to stone. "Duro!" She crowed, eyes wild, and as it solidified into rock she took a deep breath. "Are you alright?" She would ask afterwards, but only if they were in the clear, and not still being confronted by the thing.
"Point me." She murmured to her wand, stroking the handle with a finger as it turned in the direction of north. And that was the way they would go, unless it was back the way they came, in which case they'd go straight.

"Jesus H Christ" Morgana shouted, Jumping slightly ready to run, only to find the walls were shifting. Easing herself from her stiffened state, she sighed heftily.
"Bloody marvelous. Well, I reckon we should go straight on" she signalled to Jase as if she was in the army. Walking forward naturally, she was glad she remembered the charm to change her shoes into sneakers, or her feet would be killing her by now.
As they walked forwards, Jase stole a look to Morgana, A look of discomfort, and even Morgana, the impenitrable fortress felt the uneasyness surrounding them.
