Felicity held her hand over her eyes so she could shield them from the bright sun. It was early morning, and today seemed to be a beautiful day. The sun was bright, and the day was warm. There wasn't a cloud in the sky as she stepped out onto the field.
Today, Fay actually made an effort to look nice. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail to keep it out of her eyes as she flew. She wore her favorite pair of muggle shorts, and had on a striped black and blue tank-top with a blue wristband to match. And, of course, she had her broom slung over her shoulder, while another one she just held in her other hand. Felicity wasn't totally sure if Scott had a broom or not.
She walked over to the Quidditch pitch and leaned against one of the posts. There was only a slight breeze, so it wouldn't be hard to fly today. That was good, it was harder to fly against the wind. Today was going to be a great day, in her mind at least. Her and Scott were going to fly together, after she taught him how to. And he was going to teach her to skateboard, a muggle hobby that she had often seen, but could never seem to try.
Fay glanced back over to Hogwarts and stretched her arms up above her head. Yep, today was going to be a good day.

Scott couldn't help but smile as he was getting ready to go down to the Quidditch Field. He put on some khaki pants, a white t-shirt and a short-sleeve red button up, followed by his favorite pair of Vans. As he was walking down to the field, he must've said hi to every single person he passed on the way.
Scott walked onto the field and spotted Fay leaning against one of the goalposts. He walked over to her with a goofy grin, "Good morning," he said giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.

Felicity grinned as she saw Scott coming down to the field. She blushed slightly as he kissed her cheek, but turned away quickly so he couldn't see. "Mornin'. I have an extra broom for you, cause I wasn't sure if you had one." Fay held it out to him with a grin. She was eager to start flying again, it had been a while since she had been in the air.
"Alright, so you just get on you broom," Fay swung her leg over her broom so she was straddling it. "And push off." She gave herself a small push, and she was floating a few feet above the ground. Fay shifted her legs so they were both on one side, and she was grinning down at Scott. "It's easy."

Scott took the extra broom from Fay and stayed standing as he watched her mount her broom and kick off. Scott smiled, "Looks easy enough," he said putting the broom in position.
Scott straddled the broom and attempted to push off. Next thing you know, Scott was on his back looking up at Fay, "Ow," he said with a chuckle. "I think I pushed off too hard," he said. Scott made no effort to get up off the ground, but you wouldn't expect him to right away either. The fall had knocked the wind out of him slightly and he laid there looking up with Fay with a smile.
After a moment of catching his breath, Scott pulled himself off the ground and grabbed the broom again. He straddled it once more and pushed off lightly. Soon he was hovering next to Fay.
Being on a broom was almost like being on a skateboard, he had to find his balance, but with a skateboard, there's at least something between your feet and the ground where as with a broom, if he went any higher, he was sure he'd need to go to the hospital wing if he fell off a second time.

Felicity hid her laugh behind her hand as she watched Scott fall off. Flying was one of the easiest things for her. 'Born for the Sky' as her dad often put it. Fay couldn't help but agree.
She grinned again when Scott finally seemed to manage to get on his broom, and actually hovered next to her. "That was the easy part." Felicity twirled her broom around so she was now facing Scott. "The fun part is actually flying."
Fay turned her broom around and leaned forward slightly. Her broom shot forward, flying to the other end of the field. Quickly, before she rammed into the goalposts, Fay shifted her weight and her broom turned with her. She flew back to where Scott was hovering and grinned. "It's all about shifting your weight to where you want to go."

As Scott watched Fay fly across the field, Scott couldn't help but feel a little scared. This was a lot like Skateboarding but at least he knew what he was doing. When she came back by him, he raised his eyebrow slightly, "Alright," he said nervously. "Can we just go slow first?" he asked her with an embarrassed laugh.
Scott brought a hand up to flatten his hair a bit but felt himself slip over. He let out a short gasp as he quickly brought his hand back down and latched it on the broom. He straightened himself up and stared down at the ground.

Felicity grinned. "Alright." She moved her broom so it was next to Scott's. "Just lean forward a little bit, and your broom should move forward. Don't lean too far though, otherwise you might go faster than you want to." Fay leaned forward slightly, and her broom moved forward at a relatively slow pace.
"See, easy!" Fay turned her broom back around so she could face Scott again.

Scott did his best to follow what Felicity had instructed. He leaned forward slightly on the broom. Slowly, the broom crept forward. Once he was used to it, he leaned a little further and the broom sped up. He was now going as fast as Fay.
Scott smiled, "You're right, it's not that hard," he said grinning at her.

Felicity clapped her hands together and laughed. "Bravo!" She shifted her weight so her broom turned slightly. "Now, to turn, you have to lean, but not too much otherwise you'll fall over." Fay stuck out her tongue. "Trust me, I know."
As a demonstration, Fay leaned slightly to the left, and her broom followed her movement. She circled around Scott once, then ended back in the spot she started. "Try it."

Scott leaned carefully to the left and the broom moved with him. He was actually having fun now. He still didn't like flying that much but he had just learned.
He turned to the right and flew over by Fay. He was still flying slowly, but at least he was flying. He looked at Felicity and made a face, "It's really uncomfortable," he said with a slight chuckle.

Felicity grinned as he flew over her. "To each their own I suppose." Suddenly, a wicked grin came over her face and she leaned forward. Fay's broom shot forward, going back toward the goalpost, she did a sharp turn and angled her broom downward, so it shot down toward the ground. A few moments before contact, Felicity flipped off of her broom and caught it in her hand.
She laughed and held up to fingers (like the peace sign). Fay plopped down on the grass and waited until Scott came back down. "Now what did oyu wanna show me today?"

Scott watched Fay as she did her little trick then fly back down to earth. He made his way back down also but had a little trouble getting off the broom.
He walked over by Fay who was already sitting and looked down at her. "I'll be right back," he said answering her. He was gone for maybe a minute or two and came back with two skateboards. He handed his favorite one to Fay, seeing as it was the easiest to ride, while he held onto the stubborn, new one his sister had gotten him.
He held his up to show to Fay, "This, my love, is a Skateboard," he said, making his english accent strong. "It is a transportation device used by muggle teenagers," he said, continuing his so called speach.

Felicity layed the skateboard on her lap and spun the wheels. She tilted her head slightly to the side as she inspected the object, obviously curious.
"Muggle teenagers eh?" She glanced back up at him, smiling slightly. Fay stood back up and placed the skateborad on the ground. "So, oh wise teacher, how do I tame such a beast?" Felicity smirked and looked back up at Scott.
To think, she was trying more and more muggle things now. Heh, maybe she could tell her friends about today then. It would be interesting to see their reactions. Mostly because Fay wasn't the most graceful person on the planet, except when she wanted to be.

Scott walked over to Fay and stood next to her. He dropped his skateboard on the ground next to the one he gave her. He looked at her and grinned, "Well, it's like flying a broom only you don't fly, you're not stradling it your standing on it, and it's not a broom, obviously," he said laughing.
He stood up on his skateboard and looked at Fay, "Like flying, you have to find your balance," he said grabbing her hand so he could help her stand on the skateboard.

Felicity looked back down at the skateboard and stepped on it delicately. It shifted slightly under her weight and she squeaked. "It moved and I didn't do anything."
She made sure to keep a secure grip on Scott's hand --while trying not to blush-- in case she fell. Which, in fact, was very likely. "What next?"
