Scott laughed, "It moved because it's on wheels, Fay," he said giving her hand a sqeeze so she knew she was ok. He stepped off of his skateboard and stood in front of Fay. He held out his other hand for her to grab, "So you get used to it, I'm just going to pull you on it first, alright?" he asked her with a Smile.

Felicity's eyes widened. "But, but, my feet aren't strapped to this thing. What if you pull me off? Or what if it gets stuck and I fly off?" She held onto his hands tighter, and bit her lower lip. "Don't let go." Truthfully, Fay knew that she probably wasn't going to injure something serious just on a skateboard, but the reasonable side of her was overshadowed by her fear of injury. Who knew what these muggle items could do.

Scott took a step towards Fay and gave her a reassuring look, "Fay, I'm not going to pull you off as long as you keep your feet on the board, alright? If you fly off, I'll be right here to catch you."
Scott gave Fay a kiss on the cheek and smiled, "I won't let go, I promise," he said taking a step backwards. He kept his eyes on her as he took another step backwards pulling her slowly and carefully towards him.

"A-alright." Felicity muttered while fixing her gaze on the board. I'm not going to fall, not going to fall, not going to- She squeaked again when Scott started to pull her toward him. Alright, so this wasn't so bad.
Fay glanced back up at him. "How do I move it on my own?"

Scott laughed, "Well to make it move by yourself, you have to balance on it with one foot and push off the ground with the other," he explained. He let go of Fay's hands and grabbed his skateboard again. He jumped on it and used his left foot to push himself. Once he was a ways past Fay, he turned himself around and skated back by Fay. He jumped off it and smiled, "Kinda like that," he said.

Felicity moved one foot from the skateboard and used it to propel herself forward. She skated forward slightly, and a small grin flashed across her face. Fay pushed forward again, with a little more power this time. But, the wheel caught on something and the skateboard came to an abrupt hault. Felicity --unprepared for it all-- flipped forward and landed on her back, right in front of the skateboard. She blinked, slightly dazed.

Scott watched Fay with a smile as she propelled her way away from him on the skateboard. He groaned and ran to her aid when she managed to flip over the skateboard. Scott knelt down beside her and brushed some hair off of her face and smiled down at her, "I guess I broke my promise, huh?" he asked with a slight chuckle.
He looked her over for a moment, "You alright? Any cuts, bruises, fractures, broken bones?" he asked gazing into her eyes. He smiled down at her, "Did I mention you should go slow your first time?" he asked with a laugh.

Felicity placed her hand on her head and blinked up at Scott's face. "I think I'll be fine." She sat up -- a little too quicly -- and groaned. "Ah, too quick, too quick." Fay waited until the Quidditch Pitch stopped spinning before she looked at Scott again.
She gave him a small, apologetic smile. "Told you I'd fall off." Felicity laughed. "And you might've mentioned that before I started to get excited about actually going fast."

Scott laughed at Fay and sat down next to her. "You'll be fine, trust me. I think everyone needs to fall off a skateboard at least once, I think I've fallen off enough for the whole castle," he said with a laugh.
Scott stretched his legs out in front of him and leaned backwards on his hands. He looked up at the sky and squinted. The sun was really bright today but at least it was nice.

Felicity made a face and rubbed the back of her head. "Sure sure, whatever you say. I still prefer my broom though." She stuck her tongue out at him.
"Flying on the broom is the closest thing I have to running free. Wind in my hair and no one to tell you how to fly, or where to. It's great." She flopped back and spread her arms around above her head. "Lookit me now, getting all deep and what not."

Scott looked down at her and grinned as she spoke. He couldn't help but relate to what she felt. "The same is for me on a snowboard, Fay. In the Winter, my father would take us to our lodge up in the mountains. I'd usually be gone from sun up to sun down when we were there. It was always nice to get away from Izabella and Sophie. As much as I love them, they're terrors," he said laughing.
Scott laid down next to Fay and turned on his side so he was facing her, "I think it's good that you have an escape. Just imagine not having it? Going through life with all emotions bottled up inside. You'd probably be all evil and neurotic or something," he said kidding around with her.

Felicity grinned and laughed. "Well, we as girls can be quite terrible when we want to." She flashed him a wicked grin and turned back to gazing up at the sky.
As he continued his speech, she started to run her fingers through the grass, her gaze now fixed on the ground. "When I was younger, after my dad died, my mum and I moved away from our old house. We moved close to a muggle city, so I wasn't allowed to fly anymore. I was barely allowed to go out because my mother was afraid something would happen to me. An accident, like my dad." Fay plucked a piece of grass and twirled it in her fingers. "I sat in my room most of the time, waiting for my dad to come back home and tell us he was alright. Or waiting for someone to come rescue me. But no one ever did." Felicity let the grassblade drift off in the breeze. She looked far off for a moment, lost in her own thoughts.

Scott returned to laying on his back as he listened to Fay talk about her father. She must've really loved him to wait for him everyday. He turned once agian and looked at her seriously, "Well, I'll come rescue you this summer," he said hoping it'd make her cheer up a little.

Felicity glanced over to him, and blushed again when she saw him looking at her. "I appreciate the offer, but I don't think I need saving anymore." She rolled on her side so she faced Scott. "I have great friends, and a pretty good life." Her face flushed again as she looked back down at the ground. "And you."

Scott laughed, "Alright, then maybe I'll just come and visit you," he responded. He smiled when she said something about having him, "What's so special about me?" he asked looking at her. He made a funny face and started laughing.
He calmed himself down and gave a rather long sigh. He looked up at the sky again and wondered what role he played in Fay's life.
{{I think we're in a 'short post' kind of mood or something!}}
