Ian had been sleeping on on his desk, his quill perched between his forefinger and thumb and drooping lazily. He had come into the classroom, beaming, at first, only to have fallen asleep in the midst of writing the answers to the questions on the board--
Underneath what is "Prior Incantato" he had articulately scrawled 'A spell'.
He would have been fine to sleep through the entire lesson, but something began to tickle his ankles. The sensation caused him to mumble incoherently in a distressed way, as it passed his leg and reached his knee.
He groaned, turning over on his side, his quill falling from the lifeless grip. The uncomfortable sensation seem to sprout up all around him until he finally jerked suddenly which caused him to topple off the chair.
Blinking in a dazed way, he rubbed the back of his head where it had hit his desk, and looked around. He still seemed to be in the classroom, but he soon found out that the tickling sensation had been caused by long grass climbing up his trousers. Sitting in the midst of tall grass and wild flowers, he raised a brow while wearing a confused expression.
"Am I... dreaming?"

Girty could not help put giggle as Dan became fascinated by the flowers that were sprouting from the floor. Finally managing to clam he self down she thought she heard a voice behind her. Spinning around in her chair she noticed a very tired and confused looking Ian sitting behind her. With a small smile and a wave Girty thought she best answer the poor Gryffindor’s question.
“Oh no, you have somehow found yourself in charms….the grass is Shabnam’s work, the smashed pictures is Dan’s fault and now…..the flashing writing on the board is my doing.”
Girty gave a small flick of her wand and gave a small giggle as she spun around to look at the writing on the board flash different colours, they reminded her of muggle Christmas lights flashing out side there houses at Christmas. Feeling rather pleased with her work Girty turned back to Ian wondering if he was understanding the organised chaos that was happening in the room.

"Sorry I'm late!" yelled Derek as he birst into the the classroom. He could feel his face turning red. He was really late for the class. "Professor, " said Derek casusally , "What are we doing?" Derek looked around. It looked like everyone was writing an essay or something.
So, Derek decided to pull out a piece of parchment and a quill. On the board he saw: Prior Incantato
What is it?? Why would you use it?? Who would use it??
Please write your answer on a slip of parchment and hand it to me at the front. Points will be given for answer that are right and make me laugh.
Derek then wrote:
Derek Johnson, Ravenclaw Seventh Year 1. Some kind of spell that forces a ghost form of the last spell a wand casted. 2. I would use it to investigate a wizard I think is guilty of murder and/or attacking another wizard. 3. An auror investigating a crime scene.
Derek reread his essay thing three times. Once he was sure it was ready, he walked up to the teacher's desk and put the piece of parchment on the top of the stack.

Dan walked back into the class room to notice that it was slowly being over run by the grass and plants that had been cast by one of his Hufflepuff’s. Scratching the back of his head Dan stood in front of the mini jungle and pulled out his wand. With a bright flash all the grass and plants had vanished and the class room was how it once was, although the flagstones on the floor were still cracked. With a small nod showing that he was satisfied with his work Dan walked in-between the tables to see how all the students were getting on.
As he noticed Girty point her wand at the board and the colours change Dan gave a small smile and winked at his sister. She seemed to have a habit of doing that spell in his lessons. Dan continued to walk in-between the table and it was then when he saw a new member in the class, he was busily writing notes down on his parchment. Reading over the boys shoulder Dan moved backwards as he stood up and moved over towards his desk. Folding his arms Dan smiled at the Ravenclaw as he headed back to his desk.
“Well done Mr Johnson those were very good answers. 5 points to Ravenclaw. However it is the practical use of magic which is important, although people maybe able to quote sections form text books it is vital to have experience in using a wide variety of spells. As it seems you do not have a partner at present why not practise on my wand.”
Dan had raised his voice at this last point hoping that those around him could have heard him.

Prior Incantato
What is it?? Why would you use it?? Who would use it??
She took out paper and wrote
1. its rather like a ghost of a spell 2. to see what the wand last spell was 3. Some one from the Ministry at a place of a crime.
Then she put it on the teachers desk

Dan looked around the classroom seeing people practising the spell but mostly talking to the person they were sitting next to. with a weary grin he walked over towards his desk where he noticed yet another student had placed there parchment upon it. Once Dan had reached the desk he swept it up and read quickly over what the girl had written. With a small nod of satisfaction and turned on his heel and headed to where the girl was sitting.
“Well done Miss Thimble, 5 points to Gryffindor. But now we have the slight problem that this is very advanced magic and you are still only a 1st year. However I do not doubt your magical capabilities but you may need more guidance then the other students in the class. So if you want I will be your partner in today’s lesson.”
Dan shot her a small smile before summoning a chair over, it flew above the heads of everyone in the room and gently landed next to the desk where Sarie sat. As he sat down in his chair Dan placed his wand on the desk in front of her.
“Try to cast the spell on my wand, do not worry if you do not succeed at first, the whole point of these lessons is to learn. Go on go ahead, just remember to pronounce the words carefully.”
He gave hr a soft smile before glancing around the room to make sure no one else needed his help. Once he was satisfied that no one was really bothering to work Dan turned back to Sarie, feeling slightly mean that he had forced the work upon her.

"Prior Incantato!" She said strongly. She remember the Herbology Professor telling her a spell wouldnt work if you didnt mean it. From the tip of the Professor's wand came a cloudly shape. "I did it!"

Alexis had been sitting in class day dreaming. She had a huge crush on the teacher and always found it hard to concentrate in class. So much so that she hadn't even noticed the magical jungle one of her classmates had created or the fact that another caused the colors on the board to change. She also barely noticed that she was supposed to be writing something down.
She finally came out of her daze when someone walked in the class late. Shaking her head, her blurry eyes now cleared she realized that she was way behind. Looking at the board she noticed that she was supposed to be answering a question about Prior Incantato.
Grabbing parchment she began to write:
Prior Incantato
What is it?? (If she remembered correctly) It was the ghost of a spell.
Why would you use it?? You might use it if you wanted to know what the last spell someone cast was.
Who would use it?? This sounds like something the ministry of magic might use.
She wasn't sure of her answers but they were the best she could come up with in such a short span of time. She needed to stop that daydreaming at least while she was in class.

The ghost of the spell faded. "Oh no! I guess i cant hold it." She bit her lip. "Sorry I had it." She muttered looking at the teacher.

Dan watched Sari waiting with anticipation on what may happen. It was risky letting a first year try advanced magic, but in Dan’s eyes there was no harm in doing anything that was a bit beyond your reach other then you would move forward. As the Gryffindor cast the spell Dan looked closely and saw the faint image appear from the end of his wand. He gave Sari a small round of a applause and shooed away her apology when the image faded.
“Do not worry Miss Timble for a first attempt that was brilliant. 5 point to Gryffindor. It is all a matter of confidence and like anything you build that confidence and the world is your oyster and you can cast any spell. It is learning to control the magic which is the hard bit, but as you mature as a witch you will understand.”
With a quick glance around the room he saw a Ravenclaw that he had previously overlooked, possibly by the looks of things she had been in her own little world. With a wide grin he wondered over towards her and leaned over her shoulder and read what she had on her parchment.
“Not bad Miss Heart for a few moments of working, I will give Ravenclaw 3 points. Now you can go over there and work with Miss Timble and practise the spell together.”

Having remained there in that entire class without being noticed once - to her utter delight - Erys glanced at the board before pressing her quill to the parchment. It was so easy she nearly laughed! Easy points for Slytherin. Writing her name at the top of the paper, she dropped down a few spaces to begin, scrawling the answers down in a beautifully elegant script.
Prior Incantato
What is it? A spell that forces the target victim's wand to squirt out a phantom image of the last spell cast by it. The ghost image can be removed with Deletrius.
Why would you use it? To see what jinx that mean Slytherin girl used on you that caused your legs to dance uncontrollably. For three hours.
Who would use it? Ivan Thatcher. He was lucky some other girl took pity on him, or else I would have left him like that.
Giggling, seeing as her answer depicted her hexing Ivan a day or two ago by the lake. She had used Tarantallegra on him, having already stolen both his wands to place them a fair distance away. You know, so he wouldn't be able to reach them and save himself from a major sweat episode. Dotting the last period, Erys stood, gathering the paper between her thin fingers before approaching the professor. Offering it to him with a sweet smile, she whirled around, slinking back to her desk with a satisfied expression. Stifling another bout of chuckles, the teenager sat gracefully, crossing one leg over the other. As if knowing how the teacher might respond to that, she parted her lips, readying an explanation. "Kidding!" Not really, but he wouldn't know the difference.

Alexis practically jumped when she heard Professor Hubbles' voice right behind her. She hoped that no one noticed but knew that with her luck everyone saw. She began to blush profusely which was her custom lately. Hearing him compliment her answers lame as they were caused her to go even redder if that was even possible. She managed a weak smile even though and then looked down as quick as possible then nodded as he told her to work with the younger Gryffindor he had just been practicing with.
Getting up she made her way over and sat next to her new partner smiling she said in answer to the girls question, 'Yeah I think we do, I'm Alexis by the way.'

Laughing as she fell into a confused heap on the ground, Charlie's thin frame shook with unconstrained mirth as the Slytherins looked on in shock; completely ceasing their own cackles of nasty laughter. Slapping her thigh and continuing to laugh for all she was worth Charlie rolled about on the floor, as the Slytherin gang of boys looked at each other in confusion, wearing ridiculous expressions. Thinking the estranged Hufflepuff was likely a mad hatter, they began to walk away casting shifty looks back, wondering if their jinx had actually sent her insane somehow, even they knew they'd get in trouble for that.
Laughing all the harder on seeing their dazed expressions, turning to fright Charlie wiped away tears of laughter as the boys conlcuded that fleeing was best. Tripping over themselves in their haste they quickly left the scene of the crime. "That showed you," she howled with laughter.
Breathing heavily Charlie's laughter slowly subsided, "thankyou," she breathed looking up at the ceiling with a grin. Struggling to get her wand, as the scoundrels had pinned her elbows to her sides and tied her shoelaces together with an ingenius jinx, she finally managed to find it, protruding from her boot. "Ah there you are," she said in greeting to her most trusted object, except when spells backfired of course. Racking her brains for the counter-jinx which she had clean forgotten, if she had ever known it, she tried out various incantations, finally the spell ceased its magic on hearing the word, "flobbywobby."
Rising to her feet she checked her bag carefully, hoping the chattering teeth within would have shown they'd bitten off more than they could chew. Dismayed that her things hadn't had their chance to give the rogues a few scrapes she slipped her bag onto her shoulder and preceeded onwards to her class once more.
Arriving somewhat late she walked in with a dazed expression, thinking she'd probably got the wrong room. Seeing her Head of House her mouth fell open, "oh this is the right one, cool." Smiling she took a seat by herself, thinking it would take a while to catch up and her usual non-stop talking wouldn't be very helpful now would it?
So taking out her parchment she stared fixedly at the board for a full minute, her expression one of confusion, with her mouth curled up in a silent question, wha?
Sucking upon the end of her dishevelled quill Charlie offered her hand to a small spider upon her table, setting it back onto its wiry web wreathed beneath her desk, in the right-hand corner. Straigthening up again she noticed a shadow spread over her, sticking her hand up quickly she looked around in confusion as someone gave out a yelp of shock, more than pain, "sorry," she exclaimed wondering who actually was stood over her, but thinking it best to huddle over her work, hunched over she began to scrawl,
Prior Incantato in a careful strict handwriting.
