Amanda smirked to herself. Rakki hadn't won yet... "Okay. I won't summon Archie." she replied calmly. But I will do something else... she thought to herself as she attempted to hide her evil grin.

Listening to the conversations Dan started to get angey. Although he was about to confirm he was Girty’s brother, the bickering got worse. Raising his voice and moved closer to the girls.
“No one will be summoning a monster in this class. Do you understand girls!” He walked over towards Rakki and took her by the arm dragging her to the empty side of the room. Letting go he looked at her closely. Then in a low rumble he wanted to set his authority.
“ If any of you feel the need to tease each other then please reframe till after my lesson. I do not expect such behaviour from students at your age. I’m disappointed with you both!”
Turing in his back on the Slytherin he walked towards the Gryffindor, giving her a weary glance, all most to show he was watching her. With a small huff he folded his arms and looked at the door hoping that someone else will come into the room.

Amanda stared in shock as the professor pulled her friend away. "Um professor? Rakki's my best friend. This type of behavior is normal for us, trust me! We weren't fighting. Honest. Right Rakki?" she pleaded silently with her eyes asking her friend to back her up.

Rakki blinked a few times but refused to speak. Way to go, she mentally chided as she sat down in her (now dubbed) emo corner. let's anger the professor before class starts, why don't you? Shaking her head, Rakki only pulled out what she guessed she would need for the class and sat there in silence.

Dan raised his eyebrows at the sound of Amanda talking. He listened to what she had to say and ran it over in his head. Once he had decide what to do he took gave a small cough and walked towards her.
“Miss Leveque I do not care if you have a magical bond meaning you can not be 5 feet away from each other. In my lesson you will not act immature, save that for the corridors. This is my lesson and you will do as you are told. Please I do not want to have to take away points.”
Giving a quick glance towards the clock he gave a small smile seeing there was still plenty of time for other people to turn up. He did not want his class to be made up of three people.

Amanda sighed and sent her friend an apologetic glance. Way to go Amanda... you just can't stay out of trouble can you? she thought bitterly to herself. Oh sut up! Yes I can! She replied to herself. Her inner voice scoffed. Prove it! "Fine I will!" she snapped angrily, and unfortunately out loud. "Oops..." she whispered as a blush colored her cheeks and everyone stared at her like she had just sprouted an extra head.

Post by Loren Hayes on Mar 3, 2007 0:14:50 GMT
For a long time Loren had paced back and forth outside the charms classroom, battling with herself over the decision to attend Professor Hubbles' lesson. Upon leaving the their detention together just last week she had vowed never to go near the man again. Her cheeks burns hotly as she remembered the humiliation he had bestowed upon her, and clenching her fists and fought with all her might not to punch the wall. Professor Hubbles thought her brattish? She would show him!
Straining up her tie, Loren tossed her hair over her shoulder and marched into the room, the door swinging open a little too dramatically. She immediately regretted coming in. It appeared all the tables had been removed to the side of the room, and although no heat emitted from it, a silent wall of fire stood in the centre of the room separating two equal halves. Loren looked at what was written on the blackboard, her eyes immediately narrowing suspiciously. What was the evil professor up to this time? What cruel intentions did he plan to execute for his own amusement?
Loren cast him a dismissive glare as she pulled off her summer cloak and satchel. So, she had to pick a side of the wall, did she? She looked at Amanda, Mozess and Rakki, seeing that they had as of yet not picked a side to stand on. Without saying a word Loren traveled across the room and took her place on the opposite side, away from the door.

Mozess had climbed up on top of one of the stacks on the far side of the room at this point, praying that the lesson would get underway so she could learn something other than how trivial girls went about bickering. It was starting to give her a headache...
She watched as Loren entered, slightly flushed in the face, and join her against the far side of the fire wall as well and smiled, 'How's it hanging, nature buddy?' she asked semi-cheerfully, there was still a slight throbbing behind her eyes and that put a tone in her voice, but she tried to keep it minimal. She didn't want this class to get blown out of proportion like Divination did; Oi vey!
She decided she would remain upon her perch against the wall, beside one of the blue velvet-dreaped windows, until the class officially started. She plead with whatever forces were at work that it would be soon, she didn't know how much more idle blabber she could take.

In her determination to maintain a steely gaze, Loren did not register Mozess talking to her for a few moments. 'Oh, Mozess... hello.' She gave a quick laugh upon hearing the Slytherin's nickname, obviously to remind her of their jaunt together the other night. Loren's mind had been so over loaded with all the bizarre occurrences of that night she could barely remember anything, but she did remember Mozess getting hit by a nasty spell. 'Are you alright?' she asked casually, stating it as a polite gesture, only her eyes giving away what she really meant so as not to alert the less than pleasant professor to anything suspicious...

She chuckled. That was certainly a question to be answered; was she alright? More or less she was unharmed, though those memories would be haunting her for a while. Quite a while indeed. She smiled at Loren then held up her hands to show the lovely scars from the tree roots, 'Save for these I'm doing just dandy... Well, and I still have trouble moving the little toe on my left foot, but what am I ever going to do what that anyways?' she shrugged.
She was actually quite proud of her knuckle scars, that would be a story she could tell for years to come; Her second run in with the Ministry... though her first wasn't anywhere near as fun. Her first was actually quite boring and irritating, and a big part of why she so disliked them now. Oh, let's be honest though, it was more than dislike. Mozess loathed the Ministry. She had every right to though, at least in her mind. In her mind they were the sole reason she now had to live with her brother and his "wife" instead of her own mother and father. But that was another subject entirely...
She looked around the classroom, 'So, are you looking forward to this class as much as I am?' she asked with a bitter smile. It wasn't that she didn't like Charms, in fact, they quite interested her. It wasn't even the teacher she didn't like. Surprisingly, she also didn't absoloutly hate the decor in the room... it was everything else that irked her.... Then again, Mo was always one that had to find fault with something or another.

Loren winced sympathetically as Mozess presented her with the many swollen red gashes and welts over her knuckles, even a few particularly nasty ones criss crossing her forearms. If Loren had not known the real reason for Mozess's injuries she probably would have been worryingly suspicious, but as it were she did not attempt to draw too much attention to the other girl through a babble of pitying groans. For a moment she smiled knowingly before bending down and tugging down one of her socks to bare her ankle, showing Mozess the purple and black bruises there from the roots that her dragged her bellow ground. Thankfully they did not hurt to walk on.
For now, Loren and Mozess would have to remain in the dark about the true nature of each other's injuries. While Mozess had been above ground coping with some apparent ministry members Loren had not even glimpsed that night, she herself had been underground setting eyes upon the most bizarre place she had ever been...
Pushing it from her mind, Loren focused on the fire wall, crossing her arms and eying it cynically. 'Oh, you bet cha,' she said sarcastically. 'Nothing like a bit of simple magic to remind us that we can do better...' Loren said scathingly, saying it loud enough for the professor to hear. She realised she could cope with him much more easily by mocking him... but not too much. She was a Ravenclaw after all.

Post by Henry Boggleworth on Mar 3, 2007 11:30:38 GMT
Boggleworth hadn't bothered attending many lessons for a while, only ones he had a particular interest in, which were few and far between. But he'd heard fom reliable sources that this teacher was rather interesting, though he had quickly delt out many detentions Boggleworth wasn't particularly fazed by this as he didn't intend to make trouble. He maintained his usual happy visage beaming around at everyone though he was barely an aquaintance with any of them. Nodding courteously to the room in general he gave a bright and cheerful "good day to you all." Darting a quick glance at the board he absorbed the information feeling rather interested now. "Sounds like fun sir," he commented as the lack of decent talk and friendly faces unsettled him. It seemed people here were already divided and he felt in no real mood to try bridging any divides this day. Having stood near the entrance surveying the scene for a few moments he realised one was in fact an aquaintance, whom he had gotten on well with, someone his good friend; Dax Simmons became instantly nervous around. Chuckling warmly he selected a wall space next to her and said conversationally in a warm tone as if he didn't know her at all, having only met her during one infamous evening "Miss Hayes I presume, I've heard such admirable comments of you, your reputation does precede you," He laughed at her changing expression, smiling at the other, probably a Slytherin based upon her gaze, he said "I don't think I've had the pleasure." Believing the professor wouldn't mind idle chit-chat to make friends whilst he awaited more pupils. Grinning he leaned against the wall resisting the urge to yawn from lack of sleep.

Bailey had decided that the charms lesson would be rather amusing, and headed there straight away from the commonroom. She walked into the room casually, there was a great feeling of tension within the room. The first person she saw was Daniel. "Hello professor!" she said a smile lighting up her features, deciding that it was best to call him professor when in class. She began to walk over to him, noticing the wall of flame she decided to avoid and edge around it.
Bailey carried on toward daniel, "How are you today?" she said converstionally.

Mozess watched as Loren revealed her own marks from that nights incident. She nodded, impressed slightly, 'Nice one.' It wasn't that she liked getting hurt, or even that she liked it when other people got hurt, but she figured; If you're going to get hurt, you might as well have a conversation piece after words. One of those "go big or go home" mentalities if you will... though perhaps slightly extreme.
She watched as an older Hufflepuff boy entered the classroom, followed by a younger Hufflepuff girl who seemed to know the teacher. She tilted her head as the boy crossed over to this side of the fire wall and began chatting with Loren. It took her a bit of work to keep a straight face, but she managed. She had never heard someone speak so... properly before. All gentlman-like.
She raised an eyebbrow when he asked who she was. She smiled cynically, 'Mozess Mirari,' she nodded her head slightly. She wasn't sure of this boy quite yet and until she was she would be careful as to what she said. 'And you are?'

Loren smiled in mock-politeness as Bog approached her, catching on to the inside joke. Placing a hand on her chest and smiling up at the ceiling she pretended to agree. 'Well thank you!' she said flattered. 'Believe everything you hear. I am rather wonderful.' She winked.
Leaving Bog and Mozess to chat, Loren peered over at the red haired Hufflepuff girl who had wandered over to Professor Hubbles. They seemed to know each other quite well, sharing a warm smile. Loren's suspicions perked up and she watched them sideways, looking for hints of whatever was between them. She was allowed to call him by his first name after all.
