Dan walked into the Charms classroom however it still did not quite feel like it was his room. Placing his hands on his hips he took a few seconds for him to decide what to do. Once he ran the design over in his head a few times a small smile flashed across his face as he reached into his pocket and pulled out his wand. With the first flick the moth eaten curtains were replaced with light blue velvet ones. With another the book shelves along the sides filled with different colours books, strange looking objects and drawings of all the different creatures Dan had seen on his travels. And finally Candles appeared around the room, flickering in the odd breezes that past through. Starting to feel happier, Dan stacked all the tables and chairs up against the side of the room and in the middle of the floor a wall of fire appeared. Rubbing his hands excitedly he moved towards the board and wrote up what would be happening in today’s lesson. Lesson 1: Simple Spells
Please choose a side of the fire wall and stay there. DO NOT attempt to pass through the flames, and do not blame me for any accidents that may happen in today’s lesson. You take part at your own risk. Admiring his work Dan turned around and waited for the first students to arrive. He knew this was going to be a fun lesson. Mozess was quite proud of herself, for once she was early to a class. It was surprising, and shocking, and she figured she'd probably end up doing horribly in the class to make up for it--that's just how fate tended to turn for her. But she wasn't worried... at least not yet.
When she opened the door she saw the empty floor, the huge wall of fire in the middle of the room, and the warning on the blackboard. She slowly made her way around to the far side of the wall, then set her leather satchel down under one of the desks stacked up against the wall.
She looked around the room again, kind of unusual, all the pictures of foreign animals and candles flickering. She finally remembered that the Professor was in the room and turned her attention to him, "Good morning, Professor," she greeted with a smile, wondering how long it would be before any other students appeared.

Amanda walked cheerfully into the room. Her hair today, instead of being dyed had been charmed to flash different colors at random intervals. She looked around the room with interest. The light from the fire reflected of her nose and lip piercings, and if she'd worn a shorter shirt, it would've reflected off her navel-piercing as well. This should be a fun lesson... she thought to herself. She looked around once more before greeting the professor. "Hello professor. How are you?" she asked brightly as she attempeted to tuck a stray hair behind her pointed elfin like ears.

When the students came into the room Dan could not help but smile. He had a good turn out last lesson but hoped for better with this one. In a rather joyful voice he greeted each in turn.
“Good morning Miss Mirari! It is very nice to see a Slytherin first into a lesson, very unlike them. Unless it is of course for potions. And I’m very well thank you Miss Leveque, I hope you are too.”
With a wide grin and a wild glint in his eye, Dan ran towards the board, scribbling down the names of the houses and adding the attendance points beside the correct houses. Once finished he spun around and clapped his hands.
“Have any of you done duelling before?”

Amanda smiled. "I'm doing well thank you. And yes I have duelled before."

Rakki poked her head into the classroom and looked around, raising an eyebrow at the fire in the room and the warning on the chalkboard. Shrugging, Rakki slid into the classroom and mosied over to a side of the classroom. Setting her stuff down on a table, Rakki gave the professor a wave. "Yo."

Mozess smiled, 'What can I say? I'm an unusual sort of Slytherin.' She shrugged slightly, then watched as the overly-pierced twelve-year-old Gryffindor entered the classroom. She cringed slightly. Sure, she was all for piercings, but on a pre-teen it was kind of sickening, not to mention her ears. Were they supposed to look like that? All pinched and pointy? She shrugged, wasn't really her place to judge but... was that her hair changing color? Was she a metamorphmagus too?!
She decided that she had better stop dwelling on the Gryffindor girls looks. She was really starting to worry that the child might need mental help, and that was about when the Professor asked about duelling. She nodded, 'Yes, I've duelled... but never with any proper rules. Mostly just spells flying back and forth between myself and random people who bother me,' it was blunt and honest. She didn't feel the need to candy coat her duelling history, he could look in her records and see for himself if he ever so chose to, and she didn't want to look like a liar.

((Actually Amanda only has two piercings... and her ears aren't pinched. They're just elf like. Think LOTR. That's what they look like.))
Amanda smiled as her friend entered the room. "Hey Rakks. So where's that ostentatious sister of yours? Or did you finally manage to ditch her?"

Walking closer to the door Dan watched as another Slytherin arrived. He gave her a small wave, although he was not to thrilled at her greeting. If she was in a bad mood or indeed was like other Professor at Hogwarts, he would have shouted but he did not want to lower the tone of the lesson.
“Well Miss Mirari I think you will be good at this lesson then.” He looked at the Slytherin closely, she had an attitude about her and an openness that he liked. “and Miss Leveque, your experiences may aid you slightly but ignore the factor of honour, it will not be needed in this lesson.”
Slowly he turned his back on the students and wandered towards the board changing the house points and looking at his own writing. Folding his arms he turned around at the sound of idle chit chat. He will yet them have there time now to talk as when the lesson started it would be intensive.
((Ok I will warn you now! I do not want random Out of Character post in this thread! It annoys me and I think it ruins the flow! If you want to talk to each other please us PM’s))

Amanda smiled brightly at the professor. He looked familiar... he looked like someone that she knew... then it hit her. "You're Girty's brother aren't you?" she asked hoping that she wasn't crossing the line...

Rakki raised an eyebrow at her friend's comment to the professor. ". . . Anywho, I don't know. Aly's normally doggin' my heels but, I dunno. Maybe she didn't want to come?" She shrugged. "I dunno." Rakki looked around the room and spotted the Spider Lady (of course she wouldn't dare call her that out loud, just one of the many nicknames she gave people). Giving her a small wave, she turned back to Amanda. "And no pranks in this class. Summon that monster and we'll see how flammable he is." Rakki nodded toward the fire. She wouldn't carry the threat out, of course, but it was good to set up pseudo-threats if the occasion called for it.

Amanda paled at the thought of her little Archie going up in flames. "You wouldn't dare!" she stuttered at a loss for words.

"Or would I? I wasn't sorted into this house for no reason." Rakki raised both her eyebrows and kept a serious face, despite wanting to laugh. "Let's not interfere with my learning today, alright?"

Amanda glared at her friend. "You do that and I will make your life miserable!" she threatened, and she unlike Rakki wasn't one to back out on a threat! If she said she would do something, she would do it!

"Then I suppose you should not summon the mosnter. Problem solved." Rakki clapped her hands once and sat down, feeling a bit victorious.
