Alright people, it's time we try to help Ridd come up with some sort of plot. Because at the moment, we're all just running around doing our own thing, and really getting no where xD
I propose we start a brainstorm, and vote on what we think is the best plot. We can put that into action then, and hopefully spark up some more Rps, maybe even get some more people.
I think we tried this once before, but it didn't really work out too well, so let's try again, because I personally want a plot of some sort xD
We used to have rogues and ministry, but that kind of died.
So, my fellow Ridders, what ideas do we have?

Hmm...well, it's not really so much of a plot idea that I have, as it is a graduation ceremony. I was thinking, that if we can get enough 7th years interested, we can old like a small graduation ceremony in the Great Hall, each House can have their own Valedictorian, and if Matt wants to RP as Professor Darrow, we can have him issue the dipolomas. It can take place like the week before the end of term ceremony, so that way, all the 7th years will be done and graduated, and won't have to sit through the end of year feast. There's one idea!
I was also thinking.... and this isn't a very happy one, but I was doing research on diseases, and I was thinking we could do a plot where some mysterious disease is attacking Hogwarts, and one by one, students are falling ill, maybe a few die, that's up to the people who play them, but eventually the school finds a cure.
Just ideas I've had for a while....

I know a lot of people liked my original idea of implimenting Azkaban to the forums, so I believe that could lead into many a plot including rogues, the ministry escaped convicts and hibitual offenders!
Another idea is to maybe have a class/house fieldtrip of some sort or some giant celebration. Maybe a fair or carnival!
The last ones that I have is a possible tournament that includes a series of matches, almost like the olympics. Like a spell/hex/charm competition, fighting tournament and maybe something for those animagi!
Who knows. ;D

The disease thing I've heard before but it was one I was going to bring back up as well. A mysterious plague with never before seen symptoms would be depressing, but interesting and a good way for us to get rid of characters we don't want to RP anymore without the guilt of abandoning them.
I think a plot with some big scandalous drama would be good, too. I don't really have any specific ideas but with the forest supposedly being so mysterious, perhaps we could bring that into play. Behind the scenes bad guys, mysterious lights at night, the centaurs-spiders-other magical creatures are edgy?
that's all I have for now, feel free to build off my ideas kinda like I did with Kris.

Yeah, I like Nicole's ideas, and I forgot to mention this, but as for the disease, I was thinking the symptoms could be flu-like. Heachache, fever, naseua, exhaustion, body aches...something like that, but on a much larger scale. So, it'd feel like they have a killer-flu, which is basically what it would be....

Like a spell/hex/charm competition, fighting tournament and maybe something for those animagi! Who knows. ;D I think the reason our first plot went to shambles was mainly because it was too adult-oriented. We decided long ago that we'd scrap the idea, and so the rogues really are pointless now. Creating them Azkaban would be a bit futile, and only bring back the problem of overruning students with adults.
Fagin tried a Muggle Studies field trip, but we never went through with it. I think it's a great idea if someone does one, and actually gets it together.
Lastly, we also tried the Quadwizard tournament. What you say has potential to be an amazing idea, but last time all we did was drag out the prospect of it for at least a year. I don't know if that will work out only because it needs to involve a lot of sorting out before anything actually happens.
Epidemic idea has always been one of my favourites though. GREAT way to kill off characters (of your own of course ) that you are sick with.

I know a plot Lynn, Gail, and I were planning, but never really started. :/ Did you hear of that one?

Epidemics are the best!
But, instead of having it be flu like or something that would mainly effect muggles, why doesn't the disease only harm witches/wizards? A magical twist to a deadly, muggle born disease, perhaps? Since, after all, they are at hogwarts!
Some of the symptoms could include the disappearing of body parts (think invisibility cloak disappearing), vomiting of slugs or sneezing out flowers or something like that! We are in a magical world, so why not have fun with it?

Mmm...no...that's a good idea..but not very...deadly. How about, the sicker they get, the weaker their magic gets? Like the illness, is draining them of their magical powers? Which would make them weaker, and therfore, not able to fight off the infection as easily?

The weaker their magic gets wouldn't effect themselves, really. We need to establish what type of disease/epidemic it is going to be before we tell of the symptoms. Because as it is, you just described a magical version of HIV/AIDs, haha.

I was thinking for our epidemic like Weasley's pills stuff but I like the magic draining idea.
How about, the entire time their magic is draining but the student is unaware of it and it's progress is marked by three stages of physical symptoms.
First stage- Something really simple that you'd put off as just a cold, like fever and aches or congestion.
Second stage- something a little worse that concerns the student like sudden fainting.. or something.
Third stage- Something really bad and by that point the disease is pretty irreversible and magic loss is.. deadly? I was thinking paralysis for this one, just in the legs, like polio.

oohh...nice! me likie! but, how many people are willing to let their character get to stage three? that's the question... and how would we go about trying to find a cure? like personally, I'd let Ash get to Stage Two, then have him slowly but surely recover. His magic may still be a little weak for a while, but at least he wouldn't be hovering at Death's door!

I'd probably let one of my characters Die but certainly not bray. He's tough like a horse and probably wouldn't pass stage one if he got it.
Oh oh while I was putting away dishes I got an idea for the Cure.
Uhm, with everyone getting sick and dieing, the students and teachers alike are nervous about themselves and their friends and everyone's looking for a cure but no one agrees on how it should be done.
Soon to factions appear First being led by liz as Daniel Hubbles ( hopefully ) believing that there is a Charm/hex/spell cure for the sickness and students can join that faction somehow and give him a hand.
Second faction being led by lynn as Jane Beckket (hopefully) believing that there is a medicinal herb cure and students can join that faction in a similar way.
May be crazy but it could add a bit of drama and conflict...?

the only problem with the sickness is regulating how you get it... Someone would have to be in charge since everyone can't be getting it all willy-nilly. But you can't just PM someone and be like. Uh yeah, Ash, you have the sickness now.
( -stops dominating this thread now and let's other people speak- )
"I know a plot Lynn, Gail, and I were planning, but never really started. :/ Did you hear of that one?" ^ nicole's lazy quote system (: and no, we didn't hear about Gail's new plot plan...
