Post by Girty Hubbles on Jun 12, 2007 15:02:15 GMT
Girty ran down the corridor, her bag half off her shoulders and her shoes on the wrong feet. Swearing as she glanced at her watched she realised she was running extremely late. As she skidded around the corner of the corridor and headed toward the door she was almost in reach to push it open however her shoes lace seemed to have come undone on the way to lesson and instead of walking in calmly Girty went head first into the door.
Rubbing her head Girty looked up to find herself lying on the floor of a rather full class room. Not the best entrance she has made, but then again it has not been the worst. With a small smile she pushed herself up and picked up her books and slumped into the nearest table. ‘Bloody Dan, I did not even want to come to this lesson why would anyone want to read my mind anyway it is not as if…..Oh a fly…wonder if the professor knows...nice selection of books, bet we will not get to read them.”
Girty soon thought that she best get out of her own little world and concentrate on the lesson she had interrupted. With a nervous smile at the Professor, Girty got out her parchment and quill ready to take notes and make up for what she had missed.

Bella, startled by the crash, turned to the door to see a Hufflepuff trot into the classroom. Putting two and two together, she burst out laughing. It was not her usual peircing, high, cold, cruel laugh. This was laugh was completely humorous.
It was the Hufflepuff she knew now to be Girty, which was an odd name, but she was odd in herself, so it mattered little.
Her and Diana put thier heads together and giggled more.

[oh this was for your previous post Bella..]
Diana looked at Bella and hissed, "I know what you're thinking and you should really stop." Her eyes met hers in a devious way. "Dear Bella, you obviously don't have a favorite subject do you?" she asked curiously. She could tell when people are sizing her up and she tended to get moody with them. If she wanted to see a Slytherin move then she should keep sizing her up. Diana was dark and hated when people thought less of that.
Then watching the girl fall Diana held in a laugh. She always laughed when people fell, it was a rather funny fall. She couldn't help that now could she.

Bella always laughed when people hurt themselves. It was just a funny thing, and her laughter was very impulsive. There was not much she could do to stop it, not that she wished to. She looked down her nose at the Hufflepuff and continued to giggle at her.

Narcissa laughed. Sometimes her and her sister had fun at others expense. She smiled at Diana and Bella.

"Are you OK?" he asked the girl who had fallen. He knew that she was in a hurry, mostly because of the fact that she had fallen because she was running late. He then heard some Slytherins laugh, and that was kind of heartless.

Diana looked at Professor Goth and met his eyes. "Professor, what is our first lesson going to involve," she asked. Diana was curious to see what they would be doing first. For a Slytherin she was eager but she couldn't help it if she loved the subject. And frankly she didn't give a **** what people thought anyways.

"Yes," chimed in Bella, after composing herself. "What will we be doing?
Bella leaned back in her chair, ready for instruction. She really wanted to learn occlumency. It would be so nice to hide her thoughts from anybody who might invade them. Like teachers she'd rather lie to.

"Well I guess today, we will just practice. No real threat involved, just if you don't follow along I may just end up reading your mind." he said sarcastically. "As you can see I have emptied the room so that nothing, other than the light of day can distract you." he said looking around at the empty room. " First, we need to clear our mind, you can do that by closing your eyes and breath calmly, but don't get too relaxed. I don't want you falling asleep in my class." he said, the last part yet again jokingly.

Diana smiled lightly as he joked with them. Closing her eyes she took in deep breaths and focused on the black of her inner eyes. She allowed that no thoughts could come in her head and was actually good at this because when she was stressed she would take five minutes a day to meditate to herself. She could feel her body calm and more relaxed now.

Jac nearly launched herself across the classroom at the stupid Slytherins but instead she rushed over to Girty. She was going to help her up but by the time she got to Girty, she had pushed herself up and sat in the nearest seat. "Hey Girty," Jac said quietly, a small smile on her face, "come join me." She shot the loudest of the three a glare through burning red eyes a look that would have frozen hell over before she returned to her seat.
She was boiling now, her anger and frustration was clear as the daylight the professor pointed out. Close my eyes? Jac thought in exasperation, Rule #2: Never take your eyes off your opponent. But with a hefty sigh, Jac close her eyes and tried to clear her mind. She concentrated on her breathing, in and out and in and out and Slytherins! and in and out ... Eventually, Jac had calmed down somewhat but still hadn't cleared her mind.

Alex could easily tell which students had cleared their minds and other still had some stuff on their mind. Anyone could tell that Jac was still angry over the Slytherins laughing at her friend, but to pass this lesson. "Just a few more minutes until I go over this." he said hoping that all the students would get it down in at least five or ten more minutes.

Jac opened her eyes and looked at the professor. He obviously knew she was still fuming but she didn't want to disappoint him or her father. So she took another deep breath and closed her eyes again. ... breath ... she thought, ... that's it, just breath ... She was taking long, deep breaths that calmed her. She felt like she was the only one in the room and nothing in the world could disturb her. she could think of nothing, see nothing but the black of her eye lids. She might have fallen asleep had she been in the library or anywhere else but here she was alert and calm and ready.

Ian had been walking lazily toward his Occlumency class, obviously very late, when Girty came flying past him looking quite distraught.
Raising a brow, he grinned slowly and waved a hand. "Oy, Girty!"
However, she seemed to forget very little else but her watch existed and barely even registered his form at the foot of the staircase as she swept passed him. Shaking his head in an amused way, he took off at a sprint behind her, just catching the end of her fall and wincing slightly.
The Slytherin's reactions weren't out of the ordinary, as Slytherins did tend to behave in quite an unattractive way, and he smirked easily as he walked up to the Black sisters.
Flicking Bellatrix's nose, he grinned impishly when she looked up at him, then gestured to the seat next to her. "No one sitting here, is there?" Without waiting for a response, he noisily pulled the desk back a few rows so it was sitting next to Jac's. The screech of the desk on the stone floor must have woken up many from their relaxed state, but he smiled obliviously as he nudged Jac gently with his elbow.
"So, what are we doing?"

Jac, with her eyes still closed, heard the familiar voice of Ian then the shocking screech of a desk moving. Looking over her shoulder with one eye, she saw Ian pulling a desk towards her. Before he saw her, she spun around, face forward and closed her eyes again, making a straight face.
When Ian nudged her, Jac smiled, and hushed him. "We're meant to be closing our eyes and clearing our minds," she whispered and looked sideways at Ian. "Perfect timing by the way." She smiled and closed her eyes again, once again turning her attention to breathing and thinking of nothing.
