Charlotted flitted through the grass outlinging the shore's edge; She felt spectacular. The day had been going so well so far, well except for flying class, and she found herself with a welcomed break.
The young first year skipped through more weeds before tumbling out onto the wet shore, a well-sized pumpkin juice jar in her hand. It was covered with the dew from the moisst grass, and the copper lid was punctured with many holes.
Finding a flat-topped log, she settled down and unscrewed the lid carefully, raising out of it a small death's head caterpillar.
"Hellu, Mr. Death!" she giggled as the large insect wiggled its way across her fingers. "How're you today?"

Ashton sighed happily as he dipped his toes into the cool, refreshing waters of the lake. He had been down here most of the day, and had climbed onto a medium sized rock at the edge of the shore, that was still large enough that if you sat on the edge, you could probably jump off and into the water. Ashton had been alternating between drawing, and writing and singing songs, but always he was thinking of Maxi. Maxi... Ashton gave another happy laugh as he thought about his blond boyfriend once more. He began to hum softly, not realizing that he wasn't entirely alone.

The sounds of a boys laughter made the young girl look up, blinking as if from a daze. Mr. Death, her trribly slow insect pet had merely reached her elbow when she decided to place him back in his comfy home. "You stya here, Mr.Death" she whispered softly as she quietly screwwed the lid shut. She set jar underneath the log at an angle, only a very short person could find, and then only if they were searching for the jar. She then proceeded to sift into the grass slowly, hunched over like a tiny troll. She peeked through, gazing at the back of a young Ravenclaw. She had seen him before, probably in the great hall or perhaps in a class. She heard him laugh again, and watched as he grinned, humming softly. He seemed nice, and bieng the playful child she was she pounced wildly onto the rock, shouting a rowr, only to slip a ways down, and havnig to scramble up to the top.
Her pale skin turned red as her scaring tactic so obvious had gone ascew. She grinned and sat cross legged behind the boy, "Hallo! What year are you?" she grinned.

"Aaaagh!" Ashton jumped with a gasp as he whipped around to see a girl, a Hufflepuff by the looks of her robes. "Don't do that!" he cried, as he tried to get his breathing back to normal. "You nearly gave me a heart attack!" Finally his heart stopped trying to jump out of his chest and he gave the girl a small smile. "I'm a fifth year. You?"

She grinned wider, happy to hear her tactics had,in fact, worked. She heard another voice, and in a manner, very similar to peeking, she took sight of the familiar gryfindor, making note of both thier names. She looked at the boy again, "Imma first year. your names Ashton? It reminds me of a chimney," she giggled, "I'm Charlotte, I don't really know what that reminds me of..." She shrugged suddenly chattering into another subject. "Your names, Sarie? You're in flying lessons with me, right? You're good!" she gave yet another giggle, "You called it, BOOM!, like that. It was very good." She was excited and this cuased her to chatter constantly, very similar to a chipmunk.

Ashton simply raised an eyebrow, and his infamous musical laughter filled the air as he laughed at the girl's antics. "Well Charlotte, I see something's got you excited." he said with a smile

Ashton smiled at Sarie. "I'd be glad to give you some lessons. I was a Seeker at Beauxbatons." He sighed as he looked around the lake. "You know, you two just ruined a perfectly peaceful day. Here I was, writing songs, singing them, drawing. And thinking. Mostly thinking. And then you two little loons have to show up." he teased both girls with a quirky smile.

Ashton gave the slightest hint of a smile. He did remember, and he was trying to supress those memories. "Yes, I do remember." he replied softly. "Now, if I could just get back to my thinking..."

She grinned as she watched the two converse, but her grin dimmed as she saw the cheery disposition of Ashton fade a tad. She jabbed her tongue in his direction, a playful tease back at him, before clambering down the rock. She grinned at Sarie, but shook her head softly. "No, No, its fine, but thanks. "She flashed her teeth in a bigger smile, "I've got to go feed Mr.Death before the sun boils him in his jar!." She paused momentarily before giggling, what she stated made it seem she was feeding one of those icky things from Azkaban. "And, I've got get him back to my room before Haggus misses him. Haggus is my cat." She nodded fervently before dusting off her robes him.

"Alright see you then. " She waved and went off around the lake. She had made another friend. She started to skip around. There was a chuckle in the back of her mind Now you are acting like a frist year. She kept going not caring.
