Rakki laid her head down on the table and resisted the urge to let out a rather loud groan/growl at her frustration. Instead, she settled for a deep sigh. Why was it that every time she went looking for a specific book it seemed to vanish from its spot on the shelf? Whenever she wasn't looking, the book stood there in all it's bookiness, mocking her for not being able to find it when she needed it most.
Just her luck, too! Rakki was doing a research paper for her own personal gain about unlocking the secrets of the Animagi and the book (which she saw just a few days ago) was now absent, much to her chagrin. "I hate books." Rakki whispered to herself as she gently tapped the table in annoyance.

Adam, had been quietly reading a book on Animagi when he heard a girl state her hatred for books. He looked up to see a young Slytherin with her head down. She doesn't look too happy he mused. Adam stood and walked over to her table, pulling a chair out he sat down and asked, "And why exactly do you hate books? Surely they can't be all that bad? Unless, and correct me if I'm mistaken, but when you don't need the book, it's here, and when you do need it, it's dissapeared. Correct?" He gave a small smile as he said this.

Rakki blinked at the new voice and looked up. Startled, she sat up and moved her chair back some and eyed him suspiciously. "Yes, that's right," Rakki said after she calmed down for a second. "It happens all the time, actually."

"Excuse me," Adriana said in a loud whisper from a couple tables away, "but do you need help perhaps? In finding that book? I'm sorry for eavesdropping I... I just thought I could maybe lend a hand." She pushed aside the moderately-sized pile of books in front of her face so that she could see the girl, and the boy, more clearly.
The fact was that, though the girl was a Slytherin, Adriana had encountered the same exact problem numerous times like everyone else it seemed, . The only way she had solved it was to have a fresh pair of eyes come and look with her. It seemed to be that once the initial looker gave up on finding the book that, no matter how close they get to actually finding it, they won't ever find it.

Adam smiled charmingly at the newcomer. "You know, I do believe we could use some help. He turned to the Slytherin. "Exactly what book are you looking for, Ms...?" he trailed off as he did not yet know the girl's name.

Rakki blinked and rubbed the back of her head, chuckling softly. "Rakki Gravestone. Ah, thanks for the help, both of you." She looked up for a second a made a noise of pondering before looking back down. "I can't exactly recall the name of the book, but I do remember that it's about two inches thick and the spine's worn down to you can barely see the word 'animagus' in gold lettering." Once again Rakki rubbed the back of her head. "Once again, thank you both."

Adriana smiled vaguely as the two introduced themselves. She pushed her chair back and stood up so that she might have a look around. With only a vague idea of what the book was called or where one might find it, this was going to be a hard find.
"Oh, and I'm Adriana Kent, by the way," she whispered. "Um... where have you already looked, Rakki? Mightn't we just have a quick look over where you've already searched?"

Adam turned to the other girl and smiled charmingly. "That sounds like a splendid idea. And what is your name, my dear?" ((haha. Addy's quite the ladies man, isn't he? ))

((Haha.... Yeah, I was just thinking that myself And hold with me a minute. I'm trying a new way of RPing... putting all the things I say in colour. I hope that's not too strange)) Adriana's eyebrows raised in puzzlement for a brief second until she realised that she must not have spoken loudly enough. She turned to the boy, Adam, and said once again, "I'm Adriana Kent. It's nice to meet you." She smiled warmly and then turned to look at the nearest bookshelf. It was filled with books, but none of them seemed to have anything to do with animagi which was a slight disappointment. She was drawn to go farther down the row of shelves, however she thought it best that wait where she was until she got a reply.

"It's nice to meet you." Rakki smiled, nodding her greeting at Adriana. "And I looked over in..." She pointed to three rows behind her. "This general area." She pushed herself away from the table ans stood up. "I'll retrace my foot prints so... yeah, you guys do what you can."

"Ah! Right," Adriana said, still in a loud whisper. She was one row over from where the Rakki had been searching. Adriana walked over to the next row and squatted down on the floor, starting her search on the lower shelves. "You really can't remember what the book might be called or who wrote it eh, Rakki? What colour was it again? Did you say?" She licked her lips and scanned the row. Nothing there looked like what she was looking for. She looked over it one more time and then went to the next shelf up.

Aly smiled as she watched from the next row over. Her sister's book troubles never ceased. She walked over to the Ravenclaw girl and said, "Need some help? Rakki's always having this problem." she smiled and shook her head as she spoke. ((hope you don't mind me copying you! ))

((No, not at all It makes it easier for me too)) Adriana looked up as another Slytherin girl walked into her row. She was a bit unsure about what the girl wanted until the girl spoke. Adriana smiled, slightly relieved. "Yes, that would be great," she said and pointed at the far end of her shelf. "If you'd like to start searching down there that would be great." Adriana turned back to her searching.

Aly smiled. "I'm happy I can be of service." she started to turn away to look when she realized that she had not yet intrduced herself. "Oh! I'm Alyson Gravestone, but please, call me Aly." she said, smiling warmly as she extended her hand.
