Adriana looked back at the girl as she spoke. Adriana was wary of the girls outstretched hand, but shook it anyway. "I... I'm Adriana Kent," she said. "It's nice to meet you, Aly." Aly seemed to not be the typical Slytherin nor did the other girl... "Wait. Are they two of you sisters? Gravestone?" That would explain everything, Adriana thought. She stood up, having finished looking at the lower shelves, and stretched. Breathing out slowly, she turned her head round to look at everyone else and see what they were doing.

Aly smiled. "Yeah. Rakki's my little sister. So, the book we're looking for, and correct me if I'm wrong, is about two inches thick, a worn down spine, and you can barely see the word 'Animagus' in gold lettering. Correct?"

"Oh and yes, I think so," Adriana said, looking back at Aly. She pulled her arms above her as she finished her stretching. "I don't see it in this section in any case," she said. "I'm going to start looking on the other side." She pointed behind her and then turned around. She hoped very much that they would find it soon. They hadn't even been looking for that long and she was already getting tired of it.

"Uhhh..." Rakki's fingers brushed againts the spines of some books as she scanned the shelf. "It's a dark blue cover with a worn down spine." Rakki tossed over to Adriana, loud enough so she could hear and (hopefully) quiet enough so she wouldn't disturb others.
(XD Well, I feel stupid for not seeing your posts)

Adriana nodded as she continued searching. Now that she had a specific colour to look for the going should be a lot easier. "Right," she said to Rakki. "Thanks." Then she saw something out of the corner of her eye. It wasn't the book, it turned out, which made her quite disappointed. She continued her search. There are way too many books here, she thought with a sigh. At least we must in the right section. These books are about animagi.

Parker had been at a table a few feet away from all the commotion that the three girls were causing and so could hardly help when he overheard everything being said. He thought he had a pretty good idea about where that book was. He thought it was kind of funny watching the trio, especially the one who seemed to have taken charge. She's a beaut', he thought. He looked down at the book in front of him. It had a dark blue cover, worn spine wiith the word Animagus on it. Grinning, he got to his feet, taking the book from the table and went up to Adriana.
"Excuse me, miss," he said as courteously as he could, "but I fink [think] I 'ave the book yer looking fer. I'm sorry I dinna say anyfing [anything] earlier." He held the book out to her for her to see.

Adriana was a little puzzled. Surely he must be joking, she thought, but no. There it was exactly as Rakki had described it. She wanted to sigh with exasperation for the boy had had it the entire time, but decided that that would be impolite. So rather than that, she smiled warmly at him and took the book from his hands. "Thank you very much," she said, flipping through the pages of the book quickly. "I hope you don't mind if I..." She pointed at Rakki as if to say that she was going to give the book to her. Adriana raised her eyebrows questioningly. "Would that be alright?"

"Yeah," he said, nodding. "Tha' would be fine. I don' need it anymore. Already done." He smiled and turned to the other girls, smiling broadly at them both. "I'm Parker, by the way. First name is Parker, not me last. What yeh need the book fer anyway? I can' say it's a fun read."

"I think," Adriana said, jumping in before the others had a chance to answer, "that Raki there, the one with the brown hair, has to do a paper of some sorts. I don't think she said why." She shrugged her shoulders and smiled. "What were you doing with the book? Do you have a paper too? Or just for some fun?" She grinned at him, knowing that he'd already said that the book wasn't fun to read and was therefore not likely to have been reading it just for fun.

"Uh... Well," Parker began, "it's partly fer both, yeh see. I've got to write an essay on it fer a class, see, but I've also got to write home to me mum abou' it. She asked me to. She's a muggle. Doesn't know anyfing about nofing magical, right? I just thought I'd enlighten her, as it were." He chuckled self-consciously and shrugged his shoulders, smiling. "So that's it," he said. "Just uh... teaching me mum somefing new."

Aly smiled at Parker. "Thanks for helping us. If you hadn't figured out that you had the book, Rakki never would've found it!" she smiled and extended her hand, "You probably heard us talking, but I'm Aly Gravestone."

Parker smiled and nodded. "Yes, I did hear yeh, sorry abou' that. It's nice to meet yeah, Allyson Gravestone. Parker Chittenden, at your service." He nodded respectfully at her, before continuing. "And it was no problem at all. It was really my fault all along. I should have said somefing earlier, but didn't. Hope yeh lot will forgive me fer that."

Aly smiled. "Pleased to meet you Parker. And don't worry about it, I'm just glad we know where the book is now." she nodded towards Rakki. "And of course you've met my sister Rakki."

"Ah, yes. She's the one who couldn't find her book," Parker said, a smirk crossing his lips. He felt bad for causing such a ruckus, but at the same time found it to be quite funny. "Well, I'm glad I could help in any case. Need anyfing else found? I'm sure someone in here has it if it's not on the shelves. And yeh remember that." He tapped the side of his nose knowingly, and smiled warmly. "Your an odd lot of Slytherins, aren't yeh? Cavorting around with this here Ravenclaw. Has to be frowned upon, doesn't it?"
