Professor Addis opened his classroom door. He walked in and saw that the room was empty. Smiling he placed his chest on his desk at the front of room. Surveying the room he wondered if he could teach his students all of the right spells to counteract the more treachorous spells. He thought about one spell he would like to teach them, basic in its simplicity, powerful in result. He grinned as he heard the door opening.

It was Brian, the Slytherin he saw earlier walking around the grounds.

As well, Kieron walked into the classroom, curiousity in his eyes as he made his way to the nearest empty seat to wait for class to begin. His eyes fell over one thing in particular though; the chest that was sitting on Professor Addis's desk. He wondered if he had anything class-related inside? Oh well, he'd just have to wait and see for the lesson.

He turned and saw a Slytherin 7th Year walk into the room. Leigh immediately felt a sting in his chest as old memories of his time at Hogwarts came back to him. He put on a smile.
"Welcome." He said, as warmly as he could. "Please, take a seat. When others arrive the class shall begin."
Leigh noticed that the Slytherin boy headed down the back, possibly trying to be out of his view. He turned back to his desk and pulled out his wand, a few scrolls and quills.
Soon another student walked into the room. He noticed he was a Gryffindor student. The simple look of his face was all Leigh needed to know that this student would be a great wizard.

Alana walked into the classrom and looked around. It was still pretty empty. She took a seat right in front of the Proffesor's desk and waited for class to begin.

Halo walked into class and smiled, "Good morning Professor" she looked for someone she knew. She saw Brian and thought about going up and sitting by him, but seeing as he was not only a Slythrin but Slytherin and head boy, she wasn't sure if he'd wantto be seen with a 'mud-blood', so she walked over and sat by a window.

Brian sat as close as he could to the Professor so he could learn as much as he could.

"Welcome everyone," Leigh said, scanning the class with the few students. "I am Professor Addis, and this, well, this is Defence Against the Dark Arts. My job is to teach you the ways to counter the effects of the Dark Arts, through subtle and any possible means. I will try and teach you as well as I can, but the learning is up to you. House Points shall be awarded for good behaviour, manners and correct answers. House points shall be taken away for any intolerable behaviour. Is that easily understood?"
"Yes, sir." The class responded.
"Well then, we shall learn about Exdamentia spell that my father created." Leigh said, taking out a cat he had created earlier at the lake. "This feline may seem like a real cat, but it isn't." Leigh tapped his wand on the cats head and it soon disappeared in a bright red flash. "Now, simply answer this question. Is life possible to be created through magical means?"

Helia raised her hand and waited to be called upon. She thought she knew the answer, but the only way to be sure was to say it.

Brian raised his hand."No, magic can only, how do I say it, mimic or create a fake image. Magic can't make life.''

Kieron raised his hand to answer, not really sure if he would be called on or not to answer the question, but he hoped to be called on since he thought he knew the correct answer. He just hoped that his answer was right if he was actually called on.

leigh noticed three hands came up immediately. He saw the Brian blurted out the answer before given an oppurtunity to speak.
"Chase, you are correct in those areas. Now Helia, would you like to answer?" Leigh asked.

Not wanting to be a bother or anything, Kieron placed down his hand. Two students were answering the same question, that was plenty enough without his imput unless the teacher really wanted to hear it. Placing his hand down, he waited to hear Helia's responce.

"Well, just like Brian said, magic can only make fake life. Such as an animal, but the animal wouldn't be able to feel liek a real animal. It wouldn't be able to love it's owner, or understand death. More like, a naive or mechanical life."

Brian added to what she said. "Like you showed us they can be dismissed" He hoped he made sence.
