Algernon lies still for a moment, eyes a jumble of Erich, Rainer, and the sky which is truely above him. He wants nothing more than to curl up into a ball and stay, but Erich is right. His pants are getting tighter. He grips his wand, pointing it down to mumble "Engorgeo"stiffly.
There is relief, but he still can not manage to pull himself out of the sand. It is too much, and Erich's last order stays with him.

Scrambling back up, Lisa followed Thom's instruction, her wand hanging limply by her side. She glanced around her, in case another Lethifold were to swoop down on them, before her gaze returned to Novella. Frowning with worry, Lisa's strides quickened as they neared her.

Novella's body is cold and empty but still she breathes, though shallowly, and her heart still beats. Loiosh lies beside her, cold as well, and half crushed beneath his master's arm. If touched, her body will not stir.
Darin, who composes all of them, is blind to all but violence and if touched he will react in the only way he knows.

As Thom strode with Lisa, his arm bashed into something he could not see. "What the...?" he muttered perplexed, and reached out slowly with his arms to feel the air. His hands settled upon something hard, and upon further inspection, found something that felt like skin. "Who - whose this?" ge asked catiously, wondering if it was some other monsterous creature, or one of the injured invisible students resurected.

Thom's shoulders sagged in relief. "Oh - it's you, Keifer!" he breathed. "Everyone is... I'm not sure. We need to get rid of these lethifolds. Do you think you can fight them this time?" he asked with a concerned expression, although all he seemed to be looking at was a rather passive bush.

"Actually yes, I expect I do!" replied Thom, realising no one else knew Kiefer was awake. "Okay, go fight while I catch up with Lisa!" he said, pointing towards the lethifolds.
Picking up his pace once more, he charged after Lisa, seeing that she had already reached Novella. "How is she?" he asked hurriedly.

Post by Cashew Dumbledorable on Jul 15, 2006 23:00:34 GMT
Cashew had already transfigured several hundred lethifolds and was nowhere near done. That is... she thought they were lethifolds. Behind her the field is littered with random debris ranging from small lizards to the most poorly painted cadillac convertible that the long legged witch had ever seen. She was clearly responsible for everything.
The Hogwarts Healer sprints swiftly to Algernon's side where he lies prone, staring up in to the sky. "Are you wounded Professor French? As Hogwarts Healer and trained Magical Millitary Medic, I am obligated to assist you in whatever way possible!" The top three buttons of Cashew's fine cotton blouse pop open suggestively as if finally overpowered by her heaving womanhood. Deciding that he must have been drained by the force one of the lethifolds that Cashew had not yet vanquished, she promptly seized Algernon's baguette. "I know your people are lovers and not fighters but honestly, even I, the most tolerant of beautiful women to ever grace this darling planet, think this highly absurd," and with that, cracked another potion over the fine loaf of bread causing it to morph in to an inexpensive but well made sofa-bed. After a small struggle, Cashew lifted him in to it and fed him a pepper-up tablet to "warm you up and get the blood flowing," she explained before trotting off after the phantom who she decided was the cause of all the day's problem. Though she had not yet retrieved her wand, Cashew found herself to be in very high spirits--- how could she not be with such a brilliant smile and such good shoes?
She did not know the answer.

Algernon rolled over with a groan, pressing his already reddening face into the soft apolstrephy of his former book. God damn that insane woman, a pepper-up tablet was most definetly not what he had needed.

Thom pulled Novella's arm off of the dragon, wincing at his poor little form. He looked over his shoulder and spotted Cashew. "Dumbledorable!" he called to her. "Over here quickly - Novella and this thing need your help!"
He leaned over her still form protectively, and raised his wand again towards an advancing lethifold. "Incendio!" he chanted. The lethifold twisted it's form before him, letting the jet of firey light pass it without harm. Thom's heart froze as he heard a great tortured scream and a heavy thud. "Keifer!" he gasped, realising he had just hit the Ravenclaw.
Leaving Novella once more, Thom rushed over to the area that he had heard Keifer fall. He muttered a quick revial spell and heard his friend groan. "Thank merlin..." he sighed.
(( Keifer had to go but gave me permission to godmod him ))

"When you are in need I will always hear your cries!" Dumbledorable shouts gallantly before taking a flying leap towards them, her many skirts inflating and lifting her high above the battle and distracting many lethifolds who had wandered dangerously close with a discreet flash of her tremendously expensive silk panties. She descends gracefully beside the injured child and, stroking the poor girls dry hair with a loving hand, dribbles a bright pink soda water between her lips. Cashew chants under breath and does the same for Loiosh, emptying the bottle out on his body unceremoniously. "That should do it," Dumbledorable whispers, not noticing the lethifold slinking up behind them and when Novella's eye snap open, disconnected with Darin and Loiosh at last, Cashew smiles.
"You have been rescued plain-faced gryffindor girl with scaly pet!" The following giggle that emanates from her sets the lethifold on fire though she doesn't seem to register this at all.
Cashew was a little oblivious.

Thom felt on the ground for Keifer, but found nothing. He did not realise that Keifer was already up and limping towards Cashew, having noticed the lethifold behind her. He raised his wand with all the strength he could muster, but found himself to injured by Thom's charm to utter a proper incantation. "L-look o-o-out!" he said lightly, his voice no more than a whispered. He prayed Cashew's keen ears would hear him.

Far off in the battlefield, Darin was torn from his counter-parts and suddenly he is nothing more than a small white ferret among many enemies.
Loiosh conserts himself almost instantly, leaping up and shaking his wings violently in an effort to rid them of the sticky pink substance which will surely prevent him from flying.
But Novella keeps the rage and she keeps the bloodlust and she still wants to kill. She growls low, launching herself at Thom and, with blunt human teeth, clamps down on his arm.

Thom screeched in panic as Novella began to attack him. He beat at her head and hair desperately with his free arm, the pain in the other reaching an excessive level - how could a human bite hurt so much?
The two of them collapsed to the floor. "HELP, ALGERNON!" he screamed. With difficulty he raised his wand at Novella. He had no choice...
