<I'll do it!>
She looked back at the snake, "Leave it for the teachers now, Thom. We've got to help Professor Alg-" she watched as he fell and fainted, she Looked at Bog, "Take her." she said,Putting Lisas arm over his shoulder. She looked down at Professor Algernon and put her wand to his forehead, "Ennervate..." a cool light washed over him. She looked down hoping to see his eyes open, "Moncrieff, if you die on me I'll find a way to bring you back to life and kill you again, do you hear me!? Gah!" she was so frusterated. So much was happening and there was so little she could do.

"Put him back on the sofa and leave him for the lethifold!" Thom exclaimed. "Or the bear cubs. Whoever gets there first!"
(( THANK YOU! *sobs in relief* ))

Algernon stood up swiftly, careful to keep his eyes from the otherside of the battlefield where he knew Rainer would be. He looked at the assembled students, counting them and naming them in his head. Keifer, Thom, Helia, Lisa, Henry. Alright. "Alright, " he said out-loud. "I'm not going to die. Let's go." He began leading them out, body entirely on auto-pilot. "Back to the castle, it's safe there."

Thom and Keifer quickly followed, their bones aching. If it were not for them, none of this would have happened. Keifer thought back to that simple summoning spell, and the terrible sight of all those wands hailing down on him. He could still feel the pain of their jabs, seemingly hundreds of cuts and bruises all over his torso from their onslaught. He looked to Thom, exhausted. They had started this together - yet there was no way they could end it.
The sun had just managed to sink over the top of the trees. Sunset was in full swing.

Lisa thanked Helia, trying to smile but failing. The knowledge of what was still happening around her left her heart heavy, and she glanced back one last time. So much was going on and she winced as her limbs continued to walk along the path to the castle. She was sore and knew she would be for days.

<I shall go make a thread in the infirmary... it's odd how all our plots tend to end up there, dont you think?>
She then remembered Novella and her pets, "Bog, summon the Gruffindr with the dragon and ferret," she said, her magic supply exhausted by now. Boggleworth nodded and raised his wand "Accio Novella... uh, and pets." he said. A perfume bottle, an angry Peruvian viper tooth, and a tennis racket all flew at him. "Augh!" Halo rolled her eyes, "Don't be so dramatic, they'll be happier now that they're back together.

Thom stopped. He looked back over his shoulder at the scene. Surely there was something he could do...

Algernon looked back sharply at Thom. "We're out of danger. Don't go sprinting back, acting the hero. You're a hufflepuff for Merlin's sake."

((Do I get to play Damsel in Distress further? Wee!))
Lisa's vision was attacked by black spots and she stopped suddenly, rubbing her eyes. "Hold on a minute," She opened them once more and let out a small groan. "I- I can't see." She collapsed onto the floor. It felt like her entire body was cut open and bleeding.

Post by Prof. Rainer Freundschaft on Jul 16, 2006 1:41:02 GMT
Rainer doesn't say anything but the beginning of his answer comes as a downfall of wands, each sparking at the interface with his magic and lighting as flares and explosives wherever they happen to land. Lethifolds lighting up as candles, burning and breaking apart on contact. Curling up at the edges as if by strange gravity before being blown apart. "By fire," Rainer explains.
They shades keep twisting, keep lifting and rising forward, drifting as if perched on the blades of grass. Moving as a wave. A swarm. "By ice then?" Rainer is smiling and Erich is smiling because it is easy and they both know how something like this is done. Because they've done this a hundred times before. Dig deep, Tom. Water in the air is vapor, then water again, a torrential rain that quickly splinters in shafts of ice which grow to lances in the freezing tempretures. And it is freezing and frost is forming on the hands of students and teachers and even the fishtank is freezing over. This too is burning and ice is collecting and falling as boulders plummeting with obscene volumes of sound, imbedding lethifolds in to the brittle grass and tearing others apart with the shrapnel. He remembers perfectly for a moment.
But they're still coming and that moment--- that lifetime is over and done with.

Loiosh soon figured that the boy was helping him and his friends, and calmed down, though poison was still in his mouth as he sat upon the perfume bottle and tennis racket.

Thom clenched his fingers, forcing the glove of ice to break and shattered gently, crumbling from his fingers in a fine shower as if crushed unicorn horn had done. He moved over to the fishtank, crouching down to peer at the transfigured lethifold and Cashew.
(( IS Cashew the catfish? I swear she is... ))
He waved his wand, and the water unfroze quickly before any lasting harm could be done to the two. "Thank Merlin..." said Keifer, joining his side. They were now stood a little apart form the crowd.

Without thinking, Algernon casts a huge umbrella charm above them. Blocks of ice crash against it, sending splinters and snow raining down to either side of the group. "Stay close to me," he snarls, shaking with the effort of mentaining the spell. Make sure Lisa is alright."
This is Rainer's doing, or Erich's doing, and Algernon isn't sure it makes a difference which anymore.
(Yes, Cashew is the fish.))

"NO!" she screamed as she watched Lisa drop to the ground. "No, no, no. This can't be happening!" tears began falling down her face, "I give up, I jsut give up..." she said quietly. "Bog, you take Lisa back, carry her like a potato sack if you must. It's too cold for her out here, and I'm staying. I'm no use to you." She could tell Bog was about to try and change her mind, but she shook her head. "Go!" and he did. "Come on Lisa, we have to get you to the infirmary with the eprfume the racket and the dragon... man, that could make a good joke one day." he said, trying to lighten the mood. Halo watched as the professors fought off the lethifolds. 'And there's nothign I can do...'
