[Prof. Algernon Moncrieff]

"Oh." Algernon seemed satisfied with this explanation, as long as he wasn't planning on sicing the snake on him. "I think..." he began. "I think I should..." Slowly he brought his wand down under the blankets, whispering a few unintelligable spells. He seemed to relax signifigantly. "That's better." He said brightly, then promptly passed out.

"Oh hell!" Thom cursed loudly as Moncrieff toppled over once more. He shook his head angrily. Turning back to the snake, he puffed his chest out as much as he could. "Attack them!" he ordered promptly.

The snake simply stared. Thom stared back.

It began to move towards Moncrieff...

Ethelion kept killing lethifolds. Eventually he came upon another Hufflepuff boy. As this one did not seem to be injured, he sent him back toward the other students. He hoped they would all make it out, but he could not think about that now. He kept killing lethifolds.

[Lisa Lycott]

Lisa dropped Helia onto the sofa next to Moncrieff with a long, suffering sigh. Feeling her knees give out, she also slipped onto the cushioned surface, staring up at the snake with helpless eyes. Panting slightly, she closed her eyes only opening them when she heard a loud hiss.

Pushing herself off the sofa she stared at Thom, her gaze fearful. "What are you doing?" The words came off as a shout and she pointed her wand at the Hufflepuff with a shaking arm. "Call it off! Call it off!" Her voice was desperate and thick with fear.

Thom gawped as the snake completely disregarded him. Keifer hit him across the back of the head angrily. "See what you've done?!" he shouted down the Hufflepuff's ear. Stepping forward, and still invisible, he began to shout at Lisa. "You can fight it, Lisa - it won't listen to Thom, but I know you can do it! Protect Halo and Moncrieff!" he shouted encouragingly, his heart in a different state however.

Boggleworth ran into him.

"Oh my!" the prefect stumbled back.

"Come on, Bog!" Keifer grabbed Boggleworth's sleeve. "We've got to help Lisa."

[Helia Ollivander]

She shook Thom off, "No. Not without Moncrieff." Her invisble footprints depressed the grass as she hurried back to their Divination teacher. "Come on Professor, come on..." she shook her head, knowing that after that patronus she didn't have much magic left... then she remembered the comet 'I have enough...' she thought. "Mobilicorpus!" she spoke clearly. She knew the teacher would still be dazed, but she could get him back to the castle and then find a healing potion for him before he came back out here to save the day. She took hold of Lisa's arm, "Come on, come on. No time to rest on the fluffy couch..." she said helping the girl up.

She rushed back to Thom and the rest, the Ravenclaw head of hosue floating in front of her unseen body, "Okay, let's go!" she said and began sprinting back to the castle.

[Prof. Rainer Freundschaft]

Rainer could not believe his eyes. Still perched on his floating chair, he surveyed the scene. The great lawns of Hogwarts were swarming with demons of some nature and the grasses were choked with litter of every possible size. Algernon seemed to be passed out and being levitated off of a sofabed to his farthest right and Ethelion, on his other side, was well in to his usual show of killing everything less manly and competant than himself. The children were hurt and some even... "invisible?" he noted to himself, his charmed eyes focusing in on where he knew they ought to be. A fishtank glistened in the sunset just feet away from him. "Heiliger Vater im Himmel," Rainer muttered to himself, stepping down from his chair and dashing forward in to the field.

Thom ran into Halo. "The snake! The snake!" he bellowed. He then looked up at Rainer. "Its about time!" he cursed. "What are you doing on a chair?"

He then realised it was stupid question. What was explainable right now?

Langley. And he was everywhere again.

Firing fire off in every direction, Ethelion retreated to where he'd seen Rainer land. "You're here finally!" He yelled over the roar of his spells. His robes were soaked with manly sweat, and his spells seemed to be lessening in power some-what... he had used an awful lot of magic. "Well, help me out here, won't you??"

[Helia Ollivander]

"What about the snake?" she asked turning to him and trying to keep from jossling their professor or Gryffindor friend too badly. "Tell him to go bug the lethifolds, or kill them." she said with a shrug. "You created them, shoudln't be too hard."

[Lisa Lycott]

Me? Lisa thought disbelievingly, her arm still shaking. She quickly adverted it from Thom to the snake and swallowed. "Surely you must be joking," she said in a quavering voice, shaking her head. "I don't ..." She was cut off by another violent hiss and quickly shut her eyes.

"Incarceratus!" Her voice was loud and ropes dispensed from her wand, tying around the slithery beast's head. It thrashed around, causing Lisa to lose her balance and fall to the floor. Using all her magic, she forced the snake back before it quickly released the ropes from itself and whipping around to face her instead.

"Keifer! Henry!" She cried, her hands dropping numbly to her sides. "Helia." She heard the girl's voice and was filled with joy at the fact Ravenclaw had awoken and called out desperately.

Thom gave Halo and embarrassed look. "Erm... no I can't." he said quietly. "I wasn't thinking."

"Darn right you weren't!" Keifer and Boggleworth came running up. "Do you need a hand with Moncrieff?" Keifer turned to Halo, who was looking drained. Then he remembered she couldn't see him, and tapped her shoulder reassuringly.

Algernon was momentarily revived by sheer irritation. "Oh, you stupid, stupid students..." he muttered, raising his wand with some effort. "Finite incantum!" the snake vanished instantly, and as Algernon slipped back into unconciousness he caught a glimpse of Rainer and the shame washed back over him before the darkness.

"Oh dear!" she wailed as she hurried over and scooped up Lisa, "Gryffindors and their heroism..." she said with a slight quaver to her voice, "It'll get them all killed one day, and then where'll we be? Come on Lisa," she held the girl around the waist and hefted her up, continuing on toward the castle.
