Ron laughed nervously, taking the offered seat with a grateful smile, before looking inside the cauldron. "Er- I have to warn you though, Potions is probably my worst subject." He sent her sheepish smile, before looking back at the instructions, hoping he wouldn't mess up. Carrie grinned. 'Ah don't worry about it, I'm no better at it.' She said truthfully before turning her gaze back to the board. 'Right. I've added the sneezewort..' She began, peering down into the bubbling cauldron. 'We just need to wait for it to turn dark brown.' The Gryffindor commented biting her lip slightly. 'Hmm. What do you think our extra ingredient should be?' She asked, looking at Ron once again.

Ron flipped open his book, scanning the list of ingredients with a thoughtful frown. "Hmm...Do you know the ingredients to the Confusing Concoction?" He asked, looking toward her with a slightly hopeful expression, "Maybe we can use that to give us a few ideas?"

Carrie turned around and gave the late arriver a small smile before turning her attention back to the task in hand. 'I thought you said potions is your worse subject..' She commented to Ron with a grin as she ran her finger down the index in search for Confusing Concoctions.

drat I'm always so late thought Boggleworth as he prepared to enter the potions class. Taking a deep breath he strode in shouting "Morning all hope I'm not too late" to make a amends he rushed to the professor past all the other students who were all busy toiling over their cauldrons. "bonjour my name's Boggleworth" exclaimed Boggleworth as he held out his hand to be shaken...

The Headmistress held an amused smile as she shook the hand of the eccentric student. 'You are not too late Mr. Boggleworth.' She began. 'Just grab some ingredients out of the cupboard behind me and start your Befuddlement Draught.' She continued cheerily. 'You'll be needing a partner by the way.' The Professor added smiling.

Grinning, the Professor gestured to the large board behind her. 'The ingredients are all up there.' She said with a smile. 'Just follow those instructions and you make the perfect potion for a confusing effect. Once had it given to me by my brother..' The Professor said thoughtfully. 'Ended up in Peru..' Chuckling, she peered around the classroom. 'I think there is a spare cauldron in the middle there.' She gestured, before moving to the first pair to check how they were doing.

Boggleworth chuckled "I doubt I'll make the perfect potion, but I'll sure as hell try!" he wandered into the middle of the classroom threw his old satchel down and set to the potion with a gusto hoping somebody would help him out! but alas nobody came oh well he thought I'll just muck it up he began to gather his ingredients from potions cup-board muttering under breath darn potions then by mistake he muttered more loudly "sneezewort...?! so I just need to sneeze in it miss?"

'Erm, not quite Mr. Boggleworth.' The Headmistress replied from across the room with a smirk , as she reached the first pair she was going to talk with. 'Ah, so Miss. Turpin and Mr. McFinnigan, what ingredient have you two decided to add to your potion?' She asked, glancing into their cauldron.

Assuming that Ella had spaced out she decided to add her origional extra ingredient, the billywig stingers. She took a mort and pestly and ground the stingers before adding them to the potion. She stirred the potion three more times, quickly, counter-clockwise and watched carefully as the potion changed from the pale green, to a dark green, and then to a vibrant neon blue. 'That certainly makes sense, billywigs being blue and all...' she thought with a tilt of her head. She watched as the professor moved to look at Fin and Lisa's potion. She wondered how they did, hoping they did well. She listened to see what ingredient they used, knowing the pair of them they would've picked a very unorthodox ingredient and it worked out perfectly in their potion, that's just the kind of luck they had.

Lisa looked up at the professor with a nervous smile before pushing the ingredient forward. "We've decided to use Jobberknoll feathers, a key ingredient used in many memory potions. Our theory is if added to the potion the drinker will forget something important that happened to them which will most likely confuse him. But as that's incredibly dangerous, we'll add only tiny amounts so they only forget minutes instead of days or months, and as the Jobberknoll feather is one of the ingredients in memory potions that doesn't have a lasting effect, they will eventually remember what they had forgotten with an after affect of being dreadfully confused..." She paused, realising she had rambled and looked back into the cauldron, hoping she wasn't blushing.

Giving a slight smile Draven walked down to the entrance of the Potions class. "Finally, a class I should enjoy" he said to himself. While walking in he noticed the majority of the class was already there making their potions, he then noticed that he didn't know anybody in the class. He gave out a long sigh of distress and then looked around for the professor. He began thinking of some type of excuse he could use for why he was tardy. "Might as well not even bother.. my excuses never work" he muttered to himself. He found the professor standing next to a group and talking to a girl that he had noticed around the school before. He walked over and waited for the Prof. and the girl to pause in her conversation. "Uh, Prof. Wigglyfish? Sorry, I'm late.. I forgot that I had classes today." After this Draven looked over at the girl who was describing her theories on her potions and thought to himself. "Damn.. a girl thats into potions?" and smiled to himself. Then he began to think that just maybe this class wouldnt be so bad after all.

Boggleworth grinned as a Slytherin he hadn't met wandered into the classroom well here's my partner then he jumped up as the boy began to speak to the Prof, he walked over as he wasn't having much luck with his potion he decided to help out this boy as he wa giving a rather lame excuse and so he said cheerfully "ah it seems my partner has arrived with the required special ingredient, I'm sorry it took him so long to find it! come over here then I've set up already!" Boggleworth grinned knowing the Prof probably wouldn't fall for it as she seemed a smart one but that wouldn't stop him trying he directed the slytherin over to his table whispering "not the best excuse I know, but still a little better than I forgot eh?" Boggleworth wanted to get to know this guy he seemed pleasant enough

Nodding and smiling at the student who came up to him and gave him an easy out. "Yeah professor, I forgot about the special ingredients, but I got them now.." he said as he walked behind the hufflepuff to a table. Walking besides the hufflepuff he agreed, "Yeah, not the best excuse on either of our behalfs I suppose." Giving a slight smile, he then reassured himself that this class definitely will not be that bad.
