Carrie had to put her hand over her mouth to stop a laugh from bursting out, as a large bit of frogspawn went glooping down his face with perfect timing. Can't resist the chance to put down a Weasley, can he? She thought to herself with a sigh and slight roll of the eyes.
'These really are strange tidings, if you struggle putting on one of your "famous" smirks.' She commented thoughtfully, looking down at him with a smirk, still half way up the ladder. She muttered a simple cleaning spell, that returned his hair to its usual shine. She had had her fun. 'Can't have you going out there looking a mess.' Carrie stated simply, before grabbing the vial she needed and walking past the slytherin out of the cupboard with a satisfied smirk.

Draco's raised an eyebrow, turning his head to watch as McEwan walked out of the cupboard and ran a hand through his newly cleansed hair. Finally, awakening from his stupor, he walked to the shelves and collected the needed ingredients.
Just as he was leaving, he wiped a hand across his face to make sure none of the slime was still lingering. With horror, he noticed that his face was quite clean, but his hand was not. With a groan, he snatched his towel, wiping his face and stomping out of the cupboard, glancing at McEwan on his way out, a slight smirk on his face, which of course turned into a glare when someone pointed out he smelled of frogspawn.

Carrie made her way back to her seat, and gave a slight sigh as she saw the vacant chairs of the others around her, who had seemingly moved desks to join a partner. She gave a slight shrug and placed the vial she had fetched onto the table in front of her, when she gained the distinct feeling that someone was watching her slightly.
Conjuring a small flame under her water filled cauldron, she looked up and caught the eye of a smirking Malfoy. Grabbing an appropriate portion of sneezewort, she lowered her gaze with a smile and dropped the ingredient into the bubbling cauldron.

Lisa scribbled in her notebook, biting her lip in concentration before looking toward Fin with a smile. "I'm thinking we can use the Jobberknoll feather, they're used in quite a lot of memory potions." She said, pausing as she thought over her words. "It has the properties that can help manipulate someone's memory, which will most-likely confuse them, if they've forgotten something key that happened in their life." She mused out loud, jotting more notes down.
"Or, we can try Armadillo bile, a strong ingredient for wit-sharpening potions and hopes it has the opposite effect when added to the befuddlement concoction- But thats risky." She said thoughtfully, standing up to walk over to the cupboard.

Ron noticed that everyone was pairing up and glumly sat down in one of the empty seats, staring at the cauldron in front of him with a groan.
Then, noticing another Gryffindor student without a partner, he walked up to her nervously, offering her a small smile, remembering her from the lunch table not too long ago.
"Erm... Hi." He started, not really ever having talked to girls much. The tips of his ears reddened as he continued this thought process and he timidly ran a hand through his hair, looking around.
"Er... I was just wondering- Did you have a partner?" He managed, looking down at his worn out trainers.

"Hmmm...let's go with the Jobberknoll feather, eh?" he decided.

Helia didn't have a partner, but she was hoping that it wouldn't be a problem, noting the size of the class. She walked to the supply closest and gathered the supplies required, along with a little knife and then debated with herself upon which extra ingerdient she ought to use, 'Monkshood is commonly found used in forgetfulness potions, but I'm trying to befuddle the person so that would do no good. Moonstone is commonly linked to emotional stability, but I want the exact opposite effect...' "Billywig stingers." she said happily and picked up the little jar. She then walked over to her cauldron, set the sneezewort in to stew, and then began preparing the other ingredients appropriatly.

Lisa nodded with a smile, "Alright, be right back!" She said, walking into the cupboard and quickly retrieving the ingredient. Then, pausing and looking around, she noticed some frogspawn on the ground and grimaced before walking back to her seat.

Once the mixture in her cauldron had turned a dark brown she added the scurvy grass and tried to decide whether fast stirs or slow stirs would get the more desired effect. 'Just making this potion is befuddling me.' she thought frusteratedly. She began stiring in short quick circles, but when her cauldron began to make strange gurgling noises she slowed down, reversing the direction of her stir every ten seconds... or at least close to every ten seconds. She then began slowly dipping the loveage in the cauldron, and pulling it out. Dipping it in, and pulling it out... 'This is gonna take forever' she looked around to see how the other students were doing.

Ella went up to the store cupboard and got all the ingredients needed. She back down at her desk. She didn't have a partner but didn't mind too much.

She looked over and saw a Gryffindor girl who was also partnerless. She stared at her stalk of lovage which was almost done melting, and when it was she walked over, "Hey, I'm Helia. I was wondering if you'd like to be partners?" she asked hopefully.

"Er... I was just wondering- Did you have a partner?" He managed, looking down at his worn out trainers. Carrie looked up in pleasant surprise as the Gryffindor she had heard Malfoy mocking before, approached her. 'Oh! Hey there Ron..' Carrie began with a smile, remembering their introduction not too long ago in the Great Hall. 'No, I haven't got a partner.. er, want to join me?' She asked, moving along the desk slightly and offering him a seat next to herself around the cauldron. He seemed to go even more embarrassed, and Carrie gave him a reassuring smile. 'I don't bite you know..' She said with a slight laugh.

Ron laughed nervously, taking the offered seat with a grateful smile, before looking inside the cauldron. "Er- I have to warn you though, Potions is probably my worst subject." He sent her sheepish smile, before looking back at the instructions, hoping he wouldn't mess up.

Ella looked up at the girl "Hi Helia. Um sure id love to be your partner" Ella pcked up her stuff and walked over to Helia's table. "So how far have you got?" "I just finished melting the lovage in and... hm..." the mixture was slowly beginning to turn green, but it was a dark green, not pale. She stirred it once clockwise, then followed with the three counter clockwise stirs. The (now) pale green liquid spat at her. "Well that's not very nice." she grimaced at the cauldron, "So what other ingredient do you want to add, Ella?" she asked handing the stirring staff to the Gryffindor girl.
