"Oh come on, Algernon, you'd love to get inside the mind of Malfoy and see what makes him tick!" Leigh laughed, slapping his fellow Professor on the shoulder. (ooc: Hint )

Algernon stumbled forward slightly with the force of Addis's blow, then turned to look at him disapprovingly. "I would not rape the mind of anyone, least of all a student. Is there some reason you dislike this one? Perhaps you shouldn't be present for this, in that case. I'll fix his memory when and if he consents to it."

Draco had stood in the back of the room, his indifferent posture replaced with one of shock which quickly turned to rage. He vividly remembered being put in the Infirmary with one of the worst headaches he had ever experienced and no one saw fit to tell him of the obliviation earlier? In fact, who was Ollivander to first go through his mind, his most private possession and erase some of his precious memories just because she wanted to perform spells that were against the rules.
His fists shook with anger as he stomped to the front of the room, his eyes narrowed as he stared at the three professors in the room. Oh, would his father ever hear about this one!
“Excuse me!” He cried out, stomping his foot. “Helia,” he spat the word out with distaste, “Has just gone through my mind, erased my memories and illegally conjured an animal, not only creating a new species which may alter the whole ecosystem in which we live,” He paused, watching with satisfaction as their faces quickly took on a stunned expression, “and all she gets is a measly detention and some points taken off?”
He sneered at Addis before continuing. “You better bet that my father will hear about this!” He cried, his fists curling, a complete look of outrage on his face. “He’ll take it to the Ministry, he will! And hopefully it will result in that stupid rat being confiscated!”
“Bloody school.” He muttered, crossing his arms, before eyeing the Ravenclaw Head of House. “And obviously I want my memories back, I suppose I have no choice in how.” He finished his outburst with a glare at the door where Helia had left only moments ago.

"My, my, aren't you a big boy for having to run home to daddy, Malfoy." Leigh said calmly. "None of us here fear what your father can do, Draco, now simply ready your mind as Algernon goes through it, as I have no interest in seeing what makes you tick."

"Leigh..." Algernon runs a hand through his hair, looking at Addis uneasily. "One... one moment, Mr. Malfoy, please." He takes Addis's arm, pulling him away to the doorway. He lowers his face close to Leigh's, hissing his words softly. "I don't know why you dislike this student as much as you seem to, but you are being entirely out of line. This student has had his memory modified, and I can vouch for how traumatic that can be!" His eyes are glazed with memory, but he continues. "This is a very delicate procedure, and it's going to be impossible with you spewing--" He gestures flamboyantly, "-- bad energy all over the place! Now, I really am going to have to ask you to leave. Otherwise, Mr. Malfoy and I will go some where more conducive."

Leigh glared at the other Professor of Divination. "If you've seen half the things he has done in my class then you'd know why I dislike him." Leigh said, forcefully. He pushed Algernon to the side roughly, before leaving the room behind him.

Draco smirked, watching Leigh leave the classroom, a satisfied look on his face. "Actually," He called to the retreating professor's back. "If I remember correctly, you were the one pelting balls at me."
The door slammed and Draco's smirk was still on his face for a few more moments before simmering down to a glare. "Memory modification is very serious, Professor." Said Draco to the only man left in the room, other than himself.
"The Ministry will be very disappointed. Not only did Helia almost wipe out my entire memory, but she also performed it on me illegally. The Ministry has a special department in charge of clearing memories and only when completely necessary. In fact, she's basically a criminal now... Forty points for almost destroying my life." He glared.
Then, smoothing out his robes, his eyes glancing at the dishevled professor once more, he added. "I'd like my memory back, now..." His voice trailed off, a frown on his face, as he thought about what could have possibly happened in that short time span that he had lost. He was also glad he was soon to be rid of the dull ache in the back of his mind.

Algernon glares after Leigh for a moment, then straightens his robes haughtily before turning back to Draco. "Yes, Mr. Malfoy, I know it's a light punishment. But really, what would you have me do? She's a student and she made a mistake. It has never been Hogwart's policy to condemn people for that..." he sighs, sitting down next to Draco. "Though I don't know what we're going to do what that girl... she used a unfor--" He stops abruptily, watching Draco's expression change.
After a while, he speaks again. "You know, Mr. Malfoy... I do not know who your father is, but you would do well to learn that the ministry is not your toy. They are a bunch of dunderheads, yes, but mostly unpredictable dunderheads. I'm sure you've learned about The Boy Who Lived in your history class? Ministry may be a bit better than it was in that time, but... well, not much. It's best to keep Hogwarts problems at Hogwarts." He smiles kindly, hopefully. "Besides, you'll be just fine in a moment! No harm, no foul."

Draco crossed his arms over his chest and looked at the professor superiorly, thinking his father very much did have the Ministry wrapped around his fingers.
"My father contributes a lot to the Ministry of Magic." Draco said importantly, his chin raising with every word. "They're very grateful toward him."
Then, unfolding his arms, he sneered. "You're right, harldy a fit punishment. But you'll have to go through my mind, I suppose." He leaned back against the wall, looking annoyed.
"More people to trek around in there." He said to himself with a huff. "And I hardly think there was no harm done!" He added, tapping his foot impatiently.

Algernon sighs. "I'm sorry, Mr. Malfoy. I don't know what to tell you, really. I'll make this as quick and easy as I can, that's all I can do. Now, if you're ready..." He leans toward Draco, placing his palm against his forehead, "...I'll just take a little tour."
With a murmured word he is no longer himself, his body ridged where it sits empty. He flies along Draco's synapses, pulling out memories.
Draco is lying in bed, the blankets pulled up to his chin, and Algernon is looking through his eyes at his mother who reading him to sleep. She closes the book, and Draco's fear floods through them as she turns to leave.
Draco awakens from a nightmare. His vision bounces as he runs down the hall, nearly tripping over his footed pajamas. They look up at Draco's father, and Algernon can hear his reprimands distantly. Draco whimpers.
This is not it. Algernon does not have time. He flies farther.
Draco is older and he is crying on the ground, his broom lying uselessly beside him broken in too. His father advances on him, and they are still young enough to hope for comfort so they raise their tear-red face, and when their father's hand comes toward them they do shrink back. Malfoys don't cry, his voice says. And then it's Draco's voice repeating it, and Algernon can feel the vibrations in his chest. Malfoys don't cry.
Algernon discards the memory.
They lie in their bed in the dark and listen to the men screaming in the basement and Draco wonders who his father is and who he will have to be come.
Draco stands in the doorway of his parents room, staring agape at his father moving on top of a woman whom he does not recognize. His father finishes, and rolls off. Their eyes close. Their father chuckles. Open your eyes. His voice in the blackness. Did you think I loved your mother? His body is pale and marred with hair and Draco wants to vomit but cannot. Love is for the weak. I married you mother to create you, and I will not allow you to make me regret that.
They writhe on the floor under the Cruciatus Curse on him, and his father laughs and tells him that life is pain, pain is life and this is what there is an in the pain Algernon is unsure where he ends and Draco begins.
And then suddenly the memories stop, the sensation erased all there is is a wall, white and expansive, blocking the nerves along which Algernon travels. He prods it with his mind. It is springy and weak, a thin film over the mind beneath. Algernon touches it again, and it shatters.
They're watching Helia Ollivander, wand raised, face livid, with a strange creature hovering over her shoulder, and she shoots white light and Draco goes black.
Algernon is expelled outward, his eyes opening. For an instant he does not know where he is, or who, and all he remembers is the blond man who has no name anymore standing over him and laughing and then he is back. He places a hand on Draco's shoulder, squeezing it gently. "...You alright, Draco?"

Draco was shaken out of his reverie by a gentle grip on his shoulder. His eyes were wide as the memories flooded him, reliving those painful moments. Those moments that had shaped him into who he was today.
He stumbled, pulling away from the grip, a panicked feeling lingering in his chest. He took a few quick shallow breaths, closing his eyes as the memories replayed in his mind over and over.
And he had tried so hard to make them stop. To forget them. To learn their lessons and never think of them again.
His eyes opened, and suddenly anger sped through his limbs as the memories of Helia and the Room of Requirement quickly resurfaced. Every rule she had broken, and here he was suffering for it.
He grit his teeth as he saw his wand in her grip. In that box. So that's where it went. He thought with a sneer, and father had been so disappointed when I told him I had lost mine.
"I'm fine." He snapped, looking back at the Professor. His eyes were blazing with rage, "Your precious Ravenclaw student stole my wand, in case you wanted to know. But, she'll probably get away with stealing as well, won't she?"
He quickly rounded on his heal and walked briskly to the door.
Malfoys never cry.
Slamming the door, he clenched his jaw, seeing Pansy in the corridor. Ignoring her cries of protest when he pushed past her, he made his way to the Entrance Hall, heading toward the lake.
(OOC: Sorry, Pansy! This is going to the 'It has a Hold on me Thread' Otherwise I wouldn't have done that. haha.)
