The Headmistress had allowed her staff to deal with the situation, and they had done efficiently and effectively.. as well as she had hoped. Professor Moncrieff and Professor Addis left soon afterwards, their argumentative mutterings continuing down the hall.
Esmerelda sat back in her chair with a big sigh, only seconds later, Edmund began shrieking about some letter that she had yet to complete. Head down, she began scribbling down words with her favourite green feathered quill in to the dark hours of the night.
-A few days later-
The Headmistress was sat in her usual seat, at the usual time, writing a report for the governors, as usual. Suddenly there was quiet but persistant knocking at her door which caused her to lift her head from over the parchment for the first time in an hour or so.
'Come in' She said loudly but politely.

"Hello Professor," she said with a curtsy as she entered. "I was wondering if I could speak with you about something? It's about Kim's wand..." she said slowly as she took a seat across from the Head mistress

'Of course Miss. Ollivander.' The Headmistress said kindly whilst putting her quill down to give the ravenclaw her full attention. 'How can I be of assistance?' She asked watching the student carefully. 'It seems we are getting quite accusstomed to this meetings.' She gave a small chuckle.

"Well, you see... I want to make her a new one. I thought that before I did something so insanely stupid I should get your okay on it first," she thought beating around the bush would do her no good here.

The Headmistress felt nothing but admiration for the girl at that moment in time.. her honesty and loyalty to her friend. 'I am pleased to see you have come to me before trying anything Helia.' Esmerelda began. 'I don't think it should be a problem for you to try it.' Helia grinned, but the Headmistress held her hand up. 'But. Even considering your heritage, I think it would be wise to have at least one teacher present.'
Helia seemed to consider this for a moment or two, before the Professor added. 'I will be present myself, if thats what you wish.. you may chose what teacher you would like there. Perhaps Prof. Moncreiff as hes your head of house? Or Prof. Addis, as this could be considered in his area of expertise.. its up to you.'

She thought for a while about who she would truly prefer to have present. Professor Moncrieff had been the one that encouraged her in the quest and given her the note to take out books on the subject of wand making, but at the same time she was still a bit bitter about the whole encounter around Malfoy. Professor Addis had been very helpful to her in the past, and he was one of her favorite teachers, yet if she failed she would feel like she had let him down somehow... "I think I'd like you to be the one watching Professor Wigglyfish." she said finally.

The Headmistress was surprised at Helia's choice.. she never normally got a chance for better relations with students. It made her happy to think Helia trusted her enough. 'I would be happy to be there to help.' She replied giving the ravenclaw a warm smile. 'So when do you want to carry it out?'

"How about tomorrow? That'll give me some time to practise my form..." she chuckled. "Don't worry, not trying anything stupid 'til you're there to blackmail me." she smiled. "Umm, where should I meet you to do this?"

'Tomorrow is fine.' The Headmistress replied. 'We could do it here?' She suggested, thinking that way, they would be out of everyones way, and vise versa- nobody would disturb them.

"Okay then, see you tomorrow." she said as she exited the office, 'Only problem now is, where in the world am I going to get the makings for a core... time to owl dear Uncle Olly...'
The next day Helia returned in a very cheerful mood. In her left hand she carried a little piece of wood which had been whittled into a suitable wand shape, in her right hand she carried 'The artistry of the wand' and a small vial carrying a single black hair in it. She set them on Professor Wigglyfish's desk and sat down, "Ready?"

'Ready.' The Headmistress replied, finding the whole situation quite fascinating really. She looked at the objects that Helia had brought with her and smiled. She knows what shes doing. The Professor thought to herself. 'What components are you using?' She asked out of interest before the process began.

"The wand is made of Ivy and Rowan wood, they seemed like fitting woods since Rowan has very strong links to Divination and Healing, and Ivy wood is very good with defense spells... plus they were the only woods I could find growing outside Ravenclaw tower," she chuckled slighlty. "I got my uncle to send me this..." she said holding out the vial. Although there had originally been three hairs inside it there was now only one, "It's a werewolf hair. How he was able to get it I'm not sure, but with Kims current situation... I don't know, it seems fitting," she shrugged.

'You have thought this through well.' The Headmistress commented, smiling at the student before her. 'And you're right.. it does seem.. fitting.' She added, glazing in interest at the vial. 'Right. All set?'

"Yes." she said confidently as she pulled out her own wand. She took out the werewolf hair and placed it on the table, paralell to the wand shell and exactly seven inches apart. She took a deep breath and held out her wand as she chanted, "Expositus fomes, morsus capio is ea id bestia praebeo. Commisceo sicut unus. Pono posui positum pariter!" At the first of the incantation the wood shell spilt open, by the second sentence both the hair and the wood were glowing white and the hair was placing itself inside the wand. At the end the wood snapped together and became blindingly bright, it was all Helia could do to continue focusing on the wand and finish the incantation, "Exisisto Virga!" she cried. She slumped in her chair, beads of sweat dripping down her face as she breathed heavily. She stared at the place where the piece of wood and werewolf hair had once been and smiled softly. She closed her eyes and tried to calm her breathing while she waited to hear what Professor Wigglyfish thought.

The Headmistress stood up and walked over to Helia, who she patted on the back gently. 'Well done.' She said kindly, before flicking her wand to conjure a glass of deep green liquid. 'Drink up. You will soon feel better.' She added handing over the glass of the rejuvenating elixir.
The Professor picked up the wand and examined it closely. 'I think its time for a little test.' She said grinning excitedly. She swished the wand up, emitting a dark purple light that hit the nearby bookcase. A book came floating out, which the Headmistress caught with her free hand. 'Everything seems in order.' She added cheerily. 'And I must say.. that spell isn't easy to work, especially for a first time user - ever considered taking up the family business?' The Headmistress said with a chuckle.
