[Lake] Could this be love?

"Russell, I love you." Andie replied. "I know we just met but i have a feeling we were meant to be together. I love you Russell."

Rus stood up straight, the play gone from his face. she did ... he thought. There was a silence for a moment then he cleared his throat. "Andie," he said, taking both her hands in his and kissed her hands, "you're an amazing person and I would really like to get to know you before we get too ... but I'm just not saying it won't happen, it just needs a little more time." Rus looked into the eyes that had enchanted him in the first place and smiled again. If he was right about her, she would agree that getting to know each other first was best. If she was anything like he thought, she would be cool about this.

Andie smiled. "I agree." she replied, "for now, let's skate. Last one to the other side of the lake is a rotten egg!" she cied then playfully pushed Russell out of the way so she could get a head start.

Russell laughed heartily and cried, "oh no you don't!" as he chased her. But inside his heart sored: just as I knew she would. Getting to know this one will be loads of fun! He caught up with her and grabbed her around the stomach, sending both of them into a swirling across the ice.

Andie threw her head back and laughed. They skated for a few more minutes then Andie began to shiver. She was wearing a skating outfit which was rather thin and the bitter wind had picked up drastically.

"Whoow!" Russell mumbled, feeling a bit woozy. He pulled Andie closer to himself as they spun so he could stand up straight, then let her go and stopped. He put his hands to his head and squeezed hard. "Make the world stop spinning!" he whispered, then smiled.

Andie just smiled and shook her head. "Unfortunately that's out of my range of powers." she quipped. "Let's go back in though, I'm freezing."

Rus nodded and took off Andie's skates. He looked for where he had put his shoes when Andie said she was cold. He took off his long coat and put it on her shoulders. "There you go!" he said, almost proudly then laughed. "Fits you perfectly!" He found his shoes and tied the lases of the skates together, hung them over his shoulder. He offered Andie his arm and said playfully, smiling, "may I escort you back to your dorm? Seeing that we have to go to the same one."

Andie laughed and gave a mock curtsey. "Why, I would be delighted to have you as my escort good sir!" She pulled his coat around her tighter, slipped her hand into his and together they walked back toward the castle
