"Hey! Watch it!" Amanda cried out when Rakki bumped into her twice. "Think you could at least try not to freak out everytime someone startles you?" she asked irritatedly

"Yea-but-he-NOWHERE-and-ARG!" Rakki shook her head. "He started it! Blame him! Not me!" She pointed to Professor Black and scuttled back some more (careful not to bump into Amanda again).

Amanda just rolled her eyes and laughed. "You're such a loser..." Turning back to her potion she looked down the list to see what she still needed to do. Without looking up, she said to Rakki, "Now do you think you can keep yourself out of trouble long enough to get through class, or is that too difficult for you?"
((you are a loser by the way. you did know that didn't you? =P))

"But it wasn't my fauuuult!" Rakki whined, tearing her attention from the professor to her friend. "I was minding my own business when he scared me. All his fault." She crossed her arms and huffed. "And I'm not a loser; I'm just not a winner."
((:D I knoooow!))

Amanda scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Sure, you were writing a story is what you mean! And you are too a loser!" she stuck her tongue out childishly then turned back to her potion.

"I was minding my own busniess, wasn't I?" Rakki huffed, glaring at her friend's back. "And you's a ho...." She looked at Professor Black out of the corner of her eye. "...bo. Hobo."

"Ms. Gravestone please refrain from calling people...'hobos'. I was just simply wondering what was demanding your time instead of my lesson. So what was it?" Caleb asked with a serious voice. He sighed and waited for the answer.

"Um..." Rakki glanced over at her finished scrap before looking back at Professor Black and smiling softly at him. ". . . Nothing?" Oho, was she scared.

"Nothing? But yet it still demands your time. I would really like to know." Caleb said his voice staying calm. He wasn't upset, but just a little disappointed.

Rakki wished for nothing more that for the earth to open up and swallow her. She once again glanced at her parchment then back at him. "I.. um.. well.. it's..." she coughed. "It'snotlikeIdidn'twanttobeherebecauseIdoandthenIsuddenlystartedwritingImeanit'sreallynothingIgetdistractedeasilysopleasedon'tkillmeI'llstartworkingonthepotionrightaway." Rakki got out in one breath.

Resting her chin lazily on her fist, Loren slummed her shoulders and sighed silently. It would be at least fifteen minutes before the lesson ended, and as all of Professor Black's attention was focused on the ever energetic Rakki, Loren found herself very bored. She looked about the room, scrutinising the potion-stained sink and messy cupboards over flowing with bizarre items and ingredients, and she suddenly found herself with the urge to lark about.
Professor Black had placed the mouse back in its cage. It's little legs were working furiously as it ran on the wheel, every now and then stopping for a moment so that it was spun round with the motion it had created. The Ravenclaw had felt needlessly drained and lethargic lately, and she studied the little creature, jealous of how easy its life must have been.
It then occurred to Loren. She took her chin from her hand and looked round at Professor Black, Amanda and Rakki, all of them busy chatting away. Silently, making sure none of them were looking, Loren slid from her stool and stepped lightly over to where Professor Black had left her Invigoration Draught sitting on his desk. It would probably be very noticeable if she were to take the potion now, and so instead retrieved a half-empty ink well from a nearby table, silently magicking away the ink with her a swirl of her wand. As quickly as she could she began to pour a generous amount into it, every now and then looking over her should out of paranoia. When the inkwell was full she corked it, skittering back to her desk as if nothing had happened.

Amanda, who had been watching Loren's every move, now raised her eyebrow inquisitively as if to silently ask, What are you doing?. Looking down at her cauldron she remembered Loren's previous question about her living with Professor Black, and muttered out of the corner of her mouth, "As to your question about me living with Professor Black? I'll explain it after class. But it has something to do with my dad."

Caleb laughed. "I'm not going to kill you Ms. Graveston. Would you like some help getting started?" he asked flashing her a smile.

Amanda, still waiting for Loren to reply was distracted by Professor Black and Rakki, and of course she couldn't help butting in with a smart- alecky comment. As usual. "Professor?" Amanda said with a smirk, "Rakks doesn't need help with the potion, she needs help finding her brain! Besides, you wouldn't have to kill her, cause I'd probably kill her first!" Amanda gave a small smile to show she was just teasing and turned her attention back to her potion.

Caleb gave a small laugh. " Now Im sure she has a brain. She Just has a hard time using it." and Caleb wandered over to Amanda. "Do you need any help?" and he looked down at her potion, and seeing she didn't he went back to Rakki.
