Avaleigh walked down the lawn, the fall day bring about the smell of a new term. The air had turned from the hot August air to the rather chilling September air. After spending a rather relaxing vacation at her home in Wales, Ava had to drag herself back into the Hogwarts swing of things.
Ava was still trying to hold onto summer, but it was fading quickly. Even her outfit said fall. As she walked across the lawn, she noticed the tree had already started to fade to a soft yellow color. The green was slowly fading. Ava sighed.
She reached her destination. One of the very few places Avaleigh liked to be alone was a place where she felt she was never quite alone enough. The large Whomping Willow sat motionless, trying to cope with the fact that its leaves would soon be gone. Ava loved the old tree. It was vicious, uncaring who it swung at, short tempered, a lot like herself. Ava step up to the tree. She knew its boundaries, she wouldn't get any closer without losing her head. It lifted a couple branches, like it was seeing who was standing there. Ava sighed and looked at the tree. The tree went back to its relaxation. Ava smiled.
The Slytherin plopped down where she was standing, and hugged her knees to her chest. The day was clear, a breeze flowed overthe grass from the lake. The air smelled of Fall. Ava inhaled the smell and grinned. One more year. [completely pointless]

Stephanie woke to the sound of other Gryffindor's talking about the new term. She was wide a wake by then and decided to get ready for the day. She put on blue jeans and a long sleeve yellow shirt that said Life is full of Lemonade, you just have to find it. She slipped on her yellow tennis shoes and added her golden locket her parents got it for her for her eleventh birthday. She loved the locket and everything inside of it. Inside of it was a picture of her family. Though Kyle would be around today, he was in another house so she doubt she'd see him.
Stephanie headed out of the castle and looked around, she kind of let her feet lead her where ever. Before she knew it, she was at the Womping Willow. She noticed the tree changing colors and couldn't help, but tear up a bit. Summer was her faviorte part of the year, besides winter. She looked around and saw a Slytherin girl hugging her knees. She didn't want to be bothered by the Slytherin so Steph just walked right by her and went to the opposite side of the tree. She sat down and looked out into the yard where many people where hanging around.

Ava watched as a younger girl walked over, intruding on her space. She grimaced. She thought that she was going to have a peaceful time by her tree. Yes, it was her tree. She would defend it like it was her own.
Ava watched as the girl rounded the tree and went to go sit on the other side. Avaleigh noticed the girl was a little to close to the tree. Lovely. Ava watched as the tree started to get agitated with the girl, who obviously didn't know much about the Whomping part of the Whomping Willow. Ava thought she would help along the tree's temper.
Ava took out her wand from a special pocket in her jacket and summoned a small piled of stones to her. They were a decent size, about the size of a crab apple. She smiled as she sent the stone hurling toward the tree. Ava hit her target, just where she wanted, nearer to the side the girl was sitting.
The tree went ballistic. Obviously something else had been bothering it. Ava hasn't thought it would get that bad, maybe just a swing or two. But no, Ava was sure if the tree could talk it would be roaring. It's branches swung wildly, and anyone within its reach was going to get clobbered. Ava's face turned into a frown, hoping the girl was smart enough to get out of the way before she lost her pretty little head. Ava didn't want to pick up the pieces, though she was pretty sure she could get out of any trouble if the girl did end up hurt, or dead.

Steph had been minding her own business just sitting by the tree, she knew it was the wrong thing to do, because the tree was upset and anything could happen. Today she didn't care if she died. She had embaressed her self one to many times today. She noticed the tree about to go balistic and right before the tree hit her she jumped out of the way.
She stood up quickly and looked at the tree. It was angry, she could since it, was it something Steph did or the Slytherin girl did that she didn't know. She looked at her arm, which was bleeding heavily. She wanted to poof it clean and healed, but she didn't know what to do with the Slytherin standing nearby.

Ava actually grinned as a branch headed straight for the girl. "Damn." She swore as the girl got up and very quickly moved out of the way. Avaleigh was very interested in the way the girl moved. It was very impressive. Ava stood up herself and watched as the tree calmed down with a croak of its wood.
Ava saw the girl starring at her. Ava grinned maliciously. She started to clap, a lonely clap that was loud and echoed over the area. "Very impressive." Ava said, her white teeth shown in the grin. "Very." She said, eying the girl.
Ava saw the red glow of blood. It made her grin turn into a wide smile. "Aww.." Ava said, pouting like a baby. "Did the big bad tree hurt you.." She said, laughing through the pout. She crossed her arms and rested her weight on one leg, her wand still in her hand. "Why don't you run to mommy and have her kiss it and make it all better."

Steph looked at her arm then at the girl, she didn't care if the girl told. Steph wasn't going to the hospital wing, she would heal it herself. What possibly more could the girl do?
"Very impressive." "Thanks." Steph Grunted even though she didn't car what the girl thought. She may have been quick, but then again her patronus was a cat and they move pretty quick. So maybe that's why she moved so fast. It shocked Steph. "Why don't you run to mommy and have her kiss it and make it all better." "I would, but I'd rather do this" Steph said. She said a spell and pointed her wand at the cut. In an instant the cut was healed like nothing happened. "Nice, don't you say." Steph said shyly.

Oh what an Angel. Ava thought as the girl, shyly, thanked her. Oh boy. Ava smiled and walked around the tree to the girl. The tree twitched as Ava walked around. "Shhh." Ava cooed to the tree. Something was up with it. It was restless, but Ava wasn't about to be taken out by a stupid tree.
Avaleigh smiled as she came with in a few steps of the girl. Ava saw the girl raise her wand and say something. Immediately, Ava raised her own wad and pointed it straight at the girl. Ava didn't trust anyone with a wand, and she certainly didn't trust this girl, no matter how angel like she seemed.
As the girl healed her own wound instead of wounding Ava, Ava slowly lowered her wand. First a smile came over her face and then as the girl finished a laugh emitted from her lips. Ava really laughed. The girl was really such a cute thing. Ava almost felt bad that she would have a little fun with her. Of course, it wouldn't be fun for the girl.
"Oh, very." Ava said, her smile still on her face. "That might come in handy..." Ava said, raising her own wand and flicking it toward the other younger girl's wand. The girl's wand flew out of her hand and landed close to the Willow. "...some day soon." Ava said, her grin continued as she glanced at the wand laying dangerously close to the tree. There was no way the girl could get it without getting hurt, or someone helping her, but Ava was sure not to let anyone do that.
"Oh, pity. I think you dropped something." The Slytherin said happily as if the girl had only dropped a silly piece of paper and not the most important thing needed for magic.

Steph looked at the girl full eyes on. She raised her wand as Steph did and after she healed her wound the girl sent her wand flying through the air and over by the womping willow. Oh Great! she thought how am I going to get that, without getting hurt? she wondered. Well there was only one way to find out.
Steph starting humming the lullaby her friend use to hum around the tree. She since the tree getting calmer and she walked slowly and quietly towards the tree. She was still humming when she was right in front her wand. She was almost there, she could feel the tree relaxed. She reached down and picked up her wand still humming. She took a step back and stopped humming, she noticed the tree was still relaxed without her humming. She thought it was odd, but she went back to were the girl was standing and put the wand inside her robe.

What the Hell! Ava thought as the girl went a head and just climbed under the tree for the wand. The tree didn't move an inch. It was actually, happily swinging softly. Ava grimaced as her plan began to unravel. Either the tree was getting old and senile or it was bi polar. Ava sighed, it wouldn't be any use to her now if it was either.
She crossed her arms, her wand held dangerous in her hand, naturally, pointed straight at the girl. Ava's eye narrowed. "Tree Whisperer, ehh." She said, clicking her teeth. She glanced at the tree again. She shook her head. It had let her down.
Ava began to walk closer to the girl, now standing with her safely stored. Ava smiled at this. Apparently the girl trusted her enough that she actually put her wand away. A stupid idea considering Avaleigh had just endangered her. However, Ava wasn't complaining, it just made everything easier.
Ava walked up to the girl so she was face to face with her. She took her wand and gently stroked it down the girl's face, a gentle smile on Ava's lips. "What's you name, Tree Whisperer?" Ava said, intent on having some fun with this girl.

Steph looked at the girl deep in the eyes. Stephanie was getting angry. Tree Whisperer, I am no tree whisperer. She thought. Steph was angry and when she was angry nothing stopped her. She was going to do the spell.
"Tree Whisperer, ehh. "I am no tree whisperer!" she sneered at the girl. "I am done getting tortured by Slytherins..." she said, while pulling out her wand. "Silencio" she blurtted pointing the wand straight at the girl. Steph, was upset she cast the spell, but to make the point she, had to. "What's you name, Tree Whisperer?" "My name is Stephanie Willmon, of the Willmon family." she stated. Wondering if the spell worked. She was happy, but kind of sad.

Woah. Testy. Avaleigh thought as the girl snapped back at Ava. The Slytherin found it very funny that the girl had found the title of 'Tree Whisper" more offensive than a blatant attack from Avaleigh just minutes before. Ava had to hand it to the girl. She had been very patient with the Slytherin's playings, or stupid.
Ava's face became taunt as the girl wiped out her wand and a spell was cast. Ava laughed. The laugh was silent but within a few seconds, her deep throated chuckle was heard again. The girl obviously hadn't meant to harm Avaleigh. The spell wasn't very strong.
With a smirk still on her face, her wand pointing straight at the girl, Ava cocked her head to the side. "I'll give you points for a good attempt." She said, not phased at all by the girl's wand. Avaleigh stepped forward, her eyes glaring into the girl's. "But you have to really mean it. You have to really want to cause pain." Avaleigh said, raising her wand to the girl's eye level, her face stone and serious. Seconds passed. Ava laughed softly, and with a grin she lowered her wand again.
"Stephanie Willmon." Ava said, thinknig through her father's many important friends. No Willmon's came to mind. "You must be a half-blood...of less." She said with a grimace, looking at the dirt. That was were 'they' belonged. "What are you, Hufflepuff?" Ava asked, thinking that only such a weak spell could come from a badger.
The tree had been silent through the encounter. But now, it moved again. Ava stepped back from the tree. Ducking so one of its branches passed dangerously over her head. She looked around. There was no reason for the tree to be acting this way. Fine one minute, crazy the next. She sighed, and stepped out of the reach of the willow.
"Quiet the tree down won't you?" She said with a smirk, clicking her tongue on the top of her teeth, to the Willmon girl.

Stephanie needed to calm herself down a bit. If she was going to continue this fight/conversation with the Slytherin airhead, she had to calm down. She thought about her brother that made her relax alot. She calmed down a bit so she could take on the next question.
"I'll give you points for a good attempt." "I don't want to hurt you,but if you insist here is one...Locomotor Mortis" she said loudly, her wand pointing at the girls feet. She watched as the light beamed out of her wand, would she dodge it?Steph knew she said it right. Now let's do another, because this is fun.Steph decided to knock the girl from memory "Obliviate". Steph laughed as her next spell was cast. Steph could play hardball to. "You must be a half-blood...of less." "I am a pureblood thank you very much. My mother owns a number one book store, and my father owns a part of Gringotts or something like that." she stated. "What do your parents do? Are they house elves, because they can't get a job and can't afford anything else?" she snickered. Stephanie knew she should have been put in Slytherin, with her brother, but the sorting hat had its reasons. Reasons she never wanted to speak of. "What are you, Hufflepuff?" [/i "Unfortunately I am in Gryffindor." She sneered. "Why does it matter to you?" "I don't suppose your in Slytherin, because you don't act properly for a Slytherin" she taunted. Steph was just starting to have some fun and fun was what she wanted. "Quiet the tree down won't you?" Stephanie took a step towards the tree and mumbled something to it and then quickly backed away. She wasn't going to set the tree calmer for this girl. What did the girl think she was that nice? Well the girl would have to learn that not everyone is nice.

Ava smiled as she saw the girl wind up for another try at actually performing magic. The spell the girl performed was so slow. Ava had at least 3 seconds to block it, That's all she needed. The spell backfired and took a turn toward the tree. The tree swung a rather long branch which just clipped Ava in the back of the leg, causing her to fall down, as the second spell went straight over her head, right where her face would have been had the tree not pulled a dirty trick on her.
Ava groaned. She was on the ground and all of a sudden this girl got spell crazy on her. Ava got up, feeling the bruises already forming on the back of her thighs. She wouldn't be able to wear a skirt for weeks now. The Slytherin was not happy, and you could definitely see her anger on her face.
"Ok, listen up girl." Ava said, gritting her teeth. "You're playing with fire here." Ava said, her wand held in her hand, pointed at the ground right next the the girl's feet. Ava muttered something fast and a small ball of flame jetted out of her wand and landed in the grass next to the girl's feet.
Ava took a deep breathe and sighed. "Well, I'm willing to let the last little burst of magical mishaps go." She said, the grip on her wand noticeably tight as she tried to get a grip on her temper, which was totally lost once the girl opened her big mouth again.
In a second Ava was grabbing the girl's wand arm and forcing it behind her back, her wand pointed helplessly at the ground. Ava pointed her wand right at the girl's neck. "You don't want to mess with my family." She said, running her wand across the girl's neck menacingly. "Unless you want a family to run home too, you love your family don't you." She said threateningly, a wicked smile coming over her face.
Ava knew her family was just as bad as she was. Her father had her temper, her mother had her skill. Both came from prominent, and wealthy, pureblood families. Both formerly, a presently, connected to Dark Magic. Ava also realized that this girl had a brother. In her own house of Slytherin. Brilliant. Play ball.
Ava let the girl go with a push, her eyes still glaring, the color gone black with anger. Ava full on laughed. She smiled. "A Gryffindor." She laughed again. "Oh, well isn't mommy and daddy proud. Couldn't make it into Slytherin, ehh." Ava said with a snicker, twirling her wand loosely through her fingers. "Poor baby, stuck with those...baby lions." Ava pouted teasingly, but broke into a smile.
She was shooting in the dark, but she hoped that she hit some nerve. She knew of many hopeful Slytherins that had been turned down and put into lesser houses. One, baby cousin Jeremy Ashridge, for instance, was always sensitive on the subject.
Ava watched as the girl actually took a step closer and talked to the tree. Avaleigh couldn't help but laugh hysterically. "You really do talk to tree." She said with a shriek of laughter. However, this shriek of laughter was followed by another shriek, a shriek of pain. Ava felt her arm get pounded bye a large branch being swung from the tree. She was knocked to the ground, her head landing hard on the grass. Ava looked up at the sorry excuse for a pureblood and glared. She felt the blood trickle down her arm, hot and sticky.
Laying on the ground, she took her wand and pointed it at the girl. With a look of absolute hatred, she quickly turned toward the tree and yelled: "Impedimenta!" The tree slowed down significantly, enough for Ava to get up slowly. Her body hurt, but she was too worked up to care.
The second she stood erect she pointed her wand at the girl and yelled: "Levicorpus!!!" So fast that there was no way that the girl to escape the spell. Ava laughed as she watched the spell hit the girl, waiting to see the effects to her swinging upside down, 10 feet off the ground. [went completely overboard with this post!! XD]

Kayleen was sick and tired of being made fun of and all this other stuff. She wanted to leave not make magic. If she was trying she would have killed the girl by now. She looked over her shoulder and saw her brother with a girl near the castle. She saw his smile and the girl smile back and she lost it. Why did her brother have to have a girlfriend, maybe that's what was bothering Steph, was the fact she had no one to turn to in need of help.
"OK, listen up girl." Ava said, gritting her teeth. "You're playing with fire here."
"I am messing with fire?" she snickered. "I actually don't see fire anywhere around here do you?" she said getting all smarty pants on her. Stephanie wasn't playing around anymore. No more miss nice girl. She was upset and didn't want to play around. She listened as the girl muttered a spell and fire came up beside her. She freaked out and step into the fire making her ankle burn and her fall. Trying to get up she was in pain and her ankle hurt. You don't want to mess with my family." She said, running her wand across the girl's neck menacingly. "Unless you want a family to run home too, you love your family don't you." She watched as the Slytherin girl came up to her and threatened her. She got angry right then. In away if her cousin was here she would have killed the girl, but Steph didn't have the guts to kill or even hurt the girl. She couldn't help, but shiver at the mention of her family. She was doing it for protection. "Wait just, because your family is pure-blood you think your so tough? I'm pure-blood and my parents have quality jobs, my mom owns a store and my dad owns a bookstore." she said stating your parents are in a way saying your parents are no higher then mine. "You don't want to mess with my family." "So both my parents are on the Dark Side and so am I, just because I got put in a stupid house like Gryffindor doesn't mean anything. I will be a good person. one day and I will be a full Dark Side person." She said as in stop giving her stupid comments on her house she is in. "I don't know why the stupid sorting hat put me in Gryffindor, I belong in Slytherin."she piped up, getting annoyed at the girl. "For your information, not that it is your business, my mom and dad raised hell when they found out. I'm the only Gryffindor in the family, since my great grandpa, so what where the odds?" she sneered. Steph had a Slytherin personality, didn't she? She began to think she was a pure-blood, a mean, mocking, rude person. Yep, all characteristics of a Slytherin. Why am I in Gryffindor, there had to be a reason. Steph showed no nerve being hit, even though a thousand where hitting her. "Impedimenta!" and "Levicorpus!!!" Steph watched as the tree injured her and the girl getting up, saying a spell. The girl was hurt and Steph saw it through her eyes, but she still managed a fast spell. The shoot came bulging fast from the girls wand and there was no way for Stephanie to dodge the spell. She tried, but the spell hit her and she fell backwards with a loud cry, her leg was broken she could feel it, but she wasn't going to stop unless she was forced to. She tried to see where the blood was coming at from her leg, but she couldn't find it, because the blood was pouring out to fast and she could feel herself going unconscious.

Ava smiled as she finally saw the girl go to the ground. Avaleigh had been on the ground how many times so far. Granted it was the stupid trees fault, but Ava still felt herself more vulnerable because of it.
Ava watched as the girl tried to prove herself. She argued that her family was just as good as Ava's. Ava knew that if her family was as bad as she said it was, Ava would have met this Willimon before, or at least any Willimon. Ava laughed. "Calm yourself little girl." She said. "you are making me very irritated. It is not an emotion I like to feel." Ava twirled her wand in her fingers. She nodded as the girl continued her argument.
"Ok, I see that you may have some potential, but I put my faith and trust in certain hat, and that hat has told you some bad news. Now don't get mad, you're just weak, however, I like your spunk." Ava said with a smile, her grip loosening on her wand as her anger calmed. "I'm going to make it a point to met your brother. I'll see he gets in with the right people. As for you, I don't like disloyalty." Ava sneered as her grip returned. "The hat put you in red and gold, even though I hate you for that reason alone, don't be so sure to put that aside." Ava watched the tree out of the corner of her eye. "Because you are not going to find a friend in green and if you are so ready to throw away your red, you won't find a friend there either and you will have to fight alone."
Ava was on the ground alone and in her rage, she shot out a couple spells. As she watched the spells hit the girl hard, Ava wiped away the blood from her arm, her fingers becoming red. Avaleigh's eyes widend as she watched the girl's leg turn unnaturally. On the inside she was pround of her ability, but something else told her that she was dangerously toeing the line and that no professor would let her get away with it.
Willimon was on the ground, and by the looks of it, she wasn't getting up. Ava sighed and crouched down to the younger girl's leg. Ava didn't try to be gentle. She jerked the leg toward her, the girl's blood present on her hands. "Well, if you hadn't resisted..." Ava said, disappointed in the messy work. "Hold still." Ava looked at the break. It wasn't bad, maybe a sprain. The blood was coming from a completly different source, just a cut from falling. What a baby she was. Never the less, there was nothing Ava could do about it.
The seventh yeah stood and extended a hand. "Up." she said to the girl. "Get up." Ava said irritated. "If you want my help, take it now, because the offer is running for a limited time only." The irritated Slytherin informed the hurt Gryffindor.
