It was a goal and Jac couldn't have been more proud of it. She and Erys made quite the team when they weren't thinking about being in waring houses. Thoughts such as those were not to be had on such an occasion when they were thrown together, forced to work side by side to achieve a common goal. As many goals as possible of course. This was just the start, Jac could feel it.
Girty got the quaffle and flew off. Jac winked at their keeper before locking eyes with Erys. She nodded towards the Puff and flew after her, almost saying 'lets get her'. It was a challenge the Gryffindor knew the Slytherin would not pass up. Sticking close to Girty's tail, as soon as she past Jac put on a burst of speed and stoll the pass.
"Thanks," Jac called to her friend before rounding into the other direction. Heading towards the goal, Jac noticed some orange hugging her side. Jac needed to pass and at the first sign of purple that flashed past her, the Gryffindor passed the ball as quick as she could.

Catching the gleam in her comrade's eye, Erys shot after Jac, keeping close if not right beside the Gryffindor as she intercepted the pass. An orange was tailing her soon after, and the Slytherin knew her team mate was just waiting for the perfect moment to pass. Hurtling past her, she whipped around at the right moment to lock the ball steadily within her arms. "To the hoops!" The animagus shouted to her fellow chaser, a blur as she dodged and weaved bludgers and oncoming players. But she couldn't score yet.
"Jac!" Erys called out, waiting until the Gryffindor was aware and waiting before even thinking about passing to her. Wouldn't want any interceptions now.. Deciding against a longer throw, she shoved roughly past one of the other team's beaters before sidling up to Jac. Pushing the ball into her hands - so no one else could get it unless they were human elastics - she then whizzed off towards the hoops, ready to catch the ball again if Jac needed another pass.

The quaffle was cruel taken form her possession and Girty could not help but groan and head off chasing after the thief, or otherwise known as Jac. Girty’s shoulder stung with pain, the cold from the rain and wind was seeping in through her robes and yet non of this mattered she had to get the quaffle back out of the hands of the purple team.
Jac passed the quaffle rather quickly and urging her broom on Girty flew stright past her and was soon on the tail of Erys Grace. But Jac was keeping up and was soon ahead of the Hufflepuff and they were doing their normal trick of just handing the quaffle to one another. Rolling her eyes thinking that it ruined the whole point of Quidditch Girty flew to the other side of Jac and with a small apologetic smile to the Gryffindor who she counted as one of her best friends Girty stuck out her leg and gave Jac a hard kick.
In the slippery conditions there was no way anyone could hold onto the quaffle and soon the red ball was tumbling to the floor. Muttering another apology to Jac Girty dropt into a dive and scooped off the quaffle, flying off back towards the other hoops looking for some form of orange to pass the quaffle to. At the first sight Girty threw the quaffle knowing that they would be wanting to get revenge on her as quickly as possible.

Erys caught that pass and Jac found that to be a small victory. It was a beautiful pass, if you were to ask Jac, and it was received beautifully too. The orange blur had not gotten in the way, luck for him because he would have had two angry purples on his back before they could have flown a meter.
Understanding, Erys' intentions perfectly, Jac flew towards the left hoop awaiting the pass. She watched the keeper, making sure he wasn't watching her. She waited to receive the pass but Girty kicked her and Jac lost her hold on her broom, slipping down some. Girty got to the quaffle before Jac could regain her hold on her broom.
Looking out for Girty, Jac spotted her and flew quickly to get back to where she was. Stealing the pass, Jac once again turned and headed back. She passed to the purple figure before her, a determined look on her face.

Still feeling the slight guilt of kicking Jac Girty was clearly not focusing when she threw the quaffle as almost straight away it ended up back in the hands of a purple clad player. With a groan Girty had to keep reminding herself that violence really did not get you anywhere in a game like this and as Jac flew past her Girty turned the broom around and knew that yet again it was down to her to try and break down the attack.
Jac passed the quaffle and the Hufflepuff reached out and her finger tips just reached the quaffle slowing it down enough and punting it off course so that she could gather it with ease and head off once again in the opposite direction in hope that the Orange team could have another attack. They had started the game so well but it seemed that the purple team had manged to find some form of team spirit and where putting up a good fight.
Looking for Jamie or Helena Girty saw the orange and threw it towards one of them hoping that they would get it this time…however she had a feeling they would not.

So Hubbles was going to play dirty, was she? Erys curled her lip over her fangs, nearly shooting after her if it weren't for Jac taking the quaffle back. And then she threw it! And then Girty got it, dang. Faster now, Erys shot past Girty just after she threw it, slapping the 'Puff in the face with the back bristles of her broom before closing her arms around the ball. Hugging it to her chest, she turned sharply, making her way back to the hoops, with firm possession. "Jac!" She called, matching the her speed as she angled herself beside her to place the ball back in her hands yet again. "Score." She told her, a serious look in her eyes. They had to win this!
As soon as the Gryffindor had the ball in her hands, Erys hurtled away, moving closer to the hoops for another pass. Well well well, wasn't this game proving to be more interesting than the last few? She hadn't felt this determined since.. That night in the forest, with Ricky and the vampire. And that was pretty exhilerating!

Girty made it round in time to get back the ball Jac had stolen from her. A pity because Jac had been looking forward to scoring again. It had been a good feeling but it was dwindling. Jac had to get it back.
Erys stole Girt's pass and Jac flew ahead a bit and took the quaffle at her pass. Jac knew that it would be another pass before they could score so flew ahead a bit before passing it back to the dark haired girl.

One more pass, and that was it. There, they were done! Catching the ball Jac threw back to her, Erys was within a couple of feet of the hoops. Cranking her arm back, the Slytherin tossed it within the center, not daring to go near the lower ones as this one was worth more. Hopefully the keeper wouldn't stop it, or anyone else who was close by. If they did, she'd tail them, and try to get the ball back.
Though it was tiring, this going back and forth, this jittery possession, Erys Grace found that her strength was not dwindling. It remained the same, and would, for some time. But her patience would not. Goal! 20 - 40 - Posession is given to Hufflepuff/Ravenclaw.

Erys luckily received her pass and Jac knew that they would now score. Jac continued to fly behind her just to keep those off her. Jac knew that they were a sho-in to win.
Erys threw the quaffle through the centre hoop. "Yess!" Jac hissed and held her hand up to Erys for a high-five. They had done it again. Now they truly were getting into it.

Well well, guess it went in after all. Running her tongue over her lips, the Slytherin felt a smirk creep on to her face. But the time for celebrating was not now, the game was still in full-swing. Whirling around and gliding closer to the Gryffindor, for the first - real - time in Hogwarts history, Erys Grace actually high-fived someone who wasn't in her house. And this time she meant it. They were a good team, but this civility wouldn't be so strong off the pitch.
"Good job, guys." Erys congradulated them quickly, steadying herself for when the other team got possession of the quaffle once again.

Sarie saw the snitch fly up and turn into a glint. She headed for up for it not wanting to give it up. She had lost it and she was flying up trying to get a better look at the pitch.

Helena took possession of the quaffle, flying quickly but sloppily, looking rather funny with one small hand gripping her broom a bit too firmly and her legs in an awkward, asymmetrical position.
Looking around for another teammate as her hair whipped around, Helena made a quick and -gasp- careful pass to a blur of orange, biting her lip in anticipation hoping it would be caught.

With a heavy sigh Girty watched as the quaffle flew through the hoops once more and Jac and Erys celebrated their goal. The rain was hammering down upon Girty, she could feel her robes stick to her and mini rivers of water trickle down her face Girty loved Quidditch and she loved representing her house but it was on days like this when the rain was pouring down and things were just not going your way she could not help but wonder why she was not sitting in the library.
However when Helena got hold of the quaffle and started to fly once more on the attack the adrenaline kicked in, the thrill of flying and the buzz of competition…that was why she played this sport and loved it!
Weaving in and out of the other players Girty kept her gaze fixed upon the other chaser in the orange team and when the red ball came sailing towards her Girty reached out and seized the quaffle with both hands. In this weather she was not going to take the risk of catching it with one hand an slipping or trying to throw it so far across the pitch that the wind carried it in a completely opposite direction. Instead the Hufflepuff carried the charge forward and at the sight of another orange team chaser Girty gave a sharp whistle to get their attention and being only a few meters away passed the quaffle towards them knowing that they were in reach of the goal and praying they would have a shot.

Bradyn's jaw clenched tighter and the thought that he might break it hovered in the back of his mind as he focused on the game. Obviously his focus wasn't enough as they got two in on him in quick succession as the rain began to escalate. 'Come on, focus. You'll disappoint the whole team.' He told himself and watched the quaffle pass around his Hufflepuff teammates, keeping an eye out that they stayed on their side. They wouldn't get a few more goals in on him, and the last one from Erys really ticked him off.
Squinting against the rain, Bray reached up to wipe some of the drips off his face and placed himself back at the center hoop with the hopes of being luckier the next time someone tried to score a goal on him.
[wow, that was lame.]

There was no more time for celebration as the red ball got put back into play and a orange-clad Puff got hold of it. Jac loved the pursuit, it was what made this game so enjoyable, both to play and to watch. Jac had sometimes thought about not playing just so she could watch a game and have a vested interest in its outcome. It wasn't often that Jac got to do that and she wondered how it would be but as she spurted after Helena she didn't want to know. She wanted to play.
Puff passed to Puff and Girty received the pass. Jac was coming up behind her friend fast, blinking rain out of her eyes. She could feel her clothes sticking to her but didn't mind. The discomfort it gave kept her alert and in the game. Girty passed and Jac saw her gap. Flying quickly between her friend and the orange who was supposed to receive the pass, Jac stole the quaffle and headed back the other way.
Quickly looking around for any player she could pass to, Jac saw purple and without hesitation passed it with all the strength she had.
