As soon as she took up her position, Alana all but locked herself in her classroom and quarters to rearrange things and give it her 'special touch'. The previous owner was obviously not as girlie as her, and knowing Professor Reed, that wasn't surprising.
She knew that for her first lesson she should test the waters of her students and figure out what they knew and what better way to do that than to get them talking and comfortable with their new professor? Plus, it was a good way for them to get used to her as well and there was no better topic than the mysterious Gamp's Law which was lost with age except for one of the exceptions.
For this lesson her classroom looked more like a club than a room in a school, with couches, cushions, rugs and all sorts of chairs all organized haphazardly for the students to be comfortable. She had to admit she went a bit overboard on transfiguring the desks and it looked more like a book club than a lesson, but oh well. After all, nothing was stopping the students from leaving. Alana's chair selection was a high-backed chair in her favorite shade of purple that put her up higher than everyone else in the room.
"I sure hope they heeded my message and brushed up on their Transfiguration knowledge." She muttered with a smirk while twirling the quill between her fingers.

As she flicked back her hair, she dragged her bag onto her shoulder as she clambered up the Hufflepuff steps to the main entrance to where her sister said she would be. Ali knew it was rare for Brooke to remember something like that, and as she saw the familiar face of her older sister she couldn't help but grin that she actually remembered to meet her for class. Of course her sister was less than happy that Ali was so excited about it, but at least she was there right?
"Brooke" she asked questioningly as she hugged her transfiguration book before continuing without Brooke answering. "Nothing" she said, springing on the balls of her feet as she walked. For saying Ali was in a rotten mood the day before due to a bad lesson in Potions and then some slytherin stealing her diary and reading it aloud, she was pretty chirpy.
As Brooke opened the door to the class to reveal the professor, Ali smiled at her and immediately walked to the left side of the room near the front but not too close before greeting the professor warmly.

As she waited at the foot of the stairs for her little sister, Brooke leant against the wall with her foot latching onto it as she folded her arms over one another and heaved a sigh of relief as she saw her sister trailing up the Hufflepuff common room. Pushing herself off the wall with her foot, she stamped it impatiently as her sister jogged towards her, bag swinging. "Come on squirt or we'll be late" she said with slight enthusiasm. She wasn't particularly one to get excited about classes but with yet another new teacher she hoped maybe they were going to make things fun.
As she watched her sisters golden curls bounce in happiness as she too walked with a spring in her step, Brooke shook her head and laughed at Ali for being so excited about her first Transfiguration class. "Relax, it's only a lesson, you'll have plenty more to be excited about for the next three years" she smirked, opening the class door and letting her sister enter before her. "Hi Professor" she said casually, simply giving a small wave as she entered the rather cool looking hang out.

It was surprisingly that Fay had actually woken up on time this morning. But the contributing factor was probably from Bray, who banged on her door and shouted for her to get the ‘bloody hell out of bed’. Her room mates groaned and sent her glares, but Felicity basically ignored them. She dressed quickly into her uniform, grabbed her books, and disappeared down the stairs. Bray had already left it seemed, too impatient to wait for her. Hmph, how rude. It was going to be his fault if she slept through her classes then.
The rest of the day went by pretty normally, save for a few classes were the teachers tried to go with ‘crazy lessons’. Haha, no. Despite a few bruises and several destroyed desks, the day had been alright. And now, it was time for Transfiguration. With the new, not-May teacher. It must’ve been a relief for Bray, not seeing his sister every day. But, Fay had to admit, she sort of missed the crazy, sarcastic woman.
It was quite easy to find the room, considering several students were flocking toward it. Fay shrugged and followed after them. She caught the door just in time after Brooke slipped in, and peeked her head into the room. Daaannnggg, the new teacher did some work. Felicity was almost expecting May to say something sarcastic at her as she entered. She was almost disappointed that she didn’t. May might’ve been scary, but she was still a good teacher. Goodness knows she pushed the students to their limits.
Fay walked quickly into the room, before glancing at the teacher and giving her a smile. “Afternoon Professor.” She turned her head to the side again, glancing around the room and trying to find a suitable placed to sit. Fay’s gaze narrowed in on a couch, kind of pushed toward the back, but angled back toward the center of the room. She skipped over and flopped down onto it, scooting over to the side so other people could sit with her. She rested one arm on the rest and leaned against it, placed her chin on her hand. The couch could probably fit three people max, four if someone sat on the arm rest.

Honestly, if Bray didn't care about Fay's education there was a big chance that she'd sleep through her entire Hogwarts career. Or at least, that was what he liked to tell her when she yelled at him for waking her up. So, maybe he got up earlier than normal people did, it didn't bother him and she was obviously just being a baby.
As usual, his classes could be categorized as 'interesting' since it was obvious that all of the professors were trying to out-do each other and going crazy with it. Must be Hubbles sneaking them little bits of craziness during their breaks. But still in one piece, he made it to Transfiguration to see their new professor. It was hard to tell whether he was relieved or irritated by it not being May, but he did feel a lot better having his sister back in her ministry position opposed to, breathing down his neck constantly. On his way into the room, though, he was nearly ran over by a human projectile also known as Willa. "Woah." He said, stepping back and putting up his hands defensively but luckily the door separated them and she hit it instead.
"Alright, Abbott?" He said with a nervous laugh while following her into the classroom and taking a spot next to Fay on her couch.

Alana couldn't help but laugh a bit as her first student made her not-so-fantastic entrance. "Hello Miss Abbot." She said while trying to control her smile since it wasn't proper for her to be that giggly. "And it's alright, but if you do find a dent I hope you can show me your skill after class and fix it." Though there was a slim chance that the girl's head was actually thick enough to dent the solid wood and she was probably just having a laugh.
Shifting her legs so they were crossed over each other, she just smiled and nodded to the students coming in and tried to place a name from the roster with the face. "Hello, hello. Find a seat anywhere and get settled." Let's see, we have Reed, Locke, and both Kennedys. Almost everyone was here which meant the battle could start soon.
"We'll give people a few more minutes to come in before beginning." She said before jotting down a mental note of how many points they were getting yet. After all, she loved to give out the things.

Transfiguration was his absolute worst class. Noah dreaded the walk to the lesson, though spared a laugh as Willa hurried past him, realising he should have moved slower. He'd arrived inside the room much earlier than planned, though clearly not the earliest.
The classroom was dressed for a theory lesson. Noah's face fell slightly as he chose a sofa that was only just bigger than a loveseat. He did cheer up seeing Ali quite near him though.
Reaching over to mess up her curls with a devious grin, he quickly looked around for Brooke and immediately spotted her. "I advise you to keep away from her," He nudged a thumb in the older Kennedy's direction. "Such a bad influence." Noah shook his head regretfully.
The lesson looked to be on the verge of beginning, so Noah was expecting both Echo and Narcissus to arrive. How expected that they should both take their time - maybe they were together.
Occupying himself with studying the professor as he waited, Noah smiled in her direction. She was quite pretty, and he hoped that she would understand his frustration with theory lessons. The spellwork he could do; essays were a much more torturous approach to learning the subject.

she has to keep away from. Brooke's a saint compared to your wily ways." Willa laughed, but her eyes were quite serious. He was quite the flirt at times, and hey, so was she, but she had to look after her fellow female right? RIGHT! "And of course I'll fix it Professor." Willa replied, waiting for other people to show up. Actually she didn't really have much friends, but she was well-known enough to flit in anyone's group. Unless they happened to be snarky Snakes who didn't like her, that is. Actually she'd like to argue the pants off of someone in here, quite literally-- well, not literally of course, that would be quite traumatizing for most if not all present, but still you got the point.[/ul]

Echo leaves Gryffindor tower sometime after she hears Noah leave. Although everyone in the whole castle knows they're friends, she likes to make it clear that they are not attatched-at-the-hip can't-live-without-you Gryffin-buddies. An easy way to do that is to let Noah show up at a respectable time, and follow meanderingly at her own pace. As usual, it is not Echo's agenda to show up with cheer or enthusiasm in her demeanor. Classes are classes, not social clubs... then again...
The door to the classroom is still hanging open when Echo finally shows up, and through the crack she can see an ecclectic assortment of chairs, sofas, loveseats, benches, bean bag chairs and tables. 'Well that's... friendly,' she thinks with distinctly irritated sarcasm playing through her mind. 'It's just so lovely when teacher's bring themselves down to our level...'
As she pushes open the slightly Willa-shaped-dented door, Echo is relieved to see that Noah has not forsaken her just yet. Despite the attractive Gryffindor's position in the very middle of the room, Echo sees that Noah has sat himself in a more reclusive sofa towards the far wall, beneath a storage building-style window. She makes her way through the room in her usual "who cares" manner--walking across coffee tables and under clearable barstools, making a perfectly straight line from the door to her friend, not worrying about what might get scuffed along the way. She stomps through a mountains of bean bags chairs which topple in her wake, then scoops her robes and sits ceremoniously and elegantly beside Noah. "Interesting set-up," is her only comment.

Sarie was just sitting in the common room. She looked at her watch. "Oh crap I'm going to be late. She hoped up the chair that she was slumped in. She grabbed her bag a hurried out the door. She heard some of the older years call to her but she couldn't hear what they had said.
She hurried down the steps. Hopping down two at a time. When she made it to the right floor she headed for the class room. She opened the door to see she was just fine. She gave a sigh of relive and walked in.
She noticed that the room looked more like a reading group meeting place then a class room. Sarie liked it. She went and sat on a couch. She had never heard of Gamps Law and she hadn't studied because the teacher had never given a topic.

Noah turned in his seat to face Willa, one corner of his mouth lifting upwards in a small half-smile. "See how she targets me?" he sent Ali an overtly innocent look. "Not even a simple 'Hello' before she hands me her insults!"
Replacing the expression with a grin, Noah leaned over his armrest so he could better examine the other Gryffindor. "Easily forgiven, of course... But only because it's you, Abbott." He tilted his head to one side, regarding her playfully, before his attention was drawn to the sound of crashing furniture.
"Ah... Echo." Noah watched beanbags deflate under her foot and smiled brightly. When she finally sat down next to him, he could only laugh at her response to the room. "Interesting, indeed... Especially since you kicked over the majority of it with those flashy shoes of yours. A gift from Narc, I presume?"

Another day. Another day. That was all Ellie could think about as she walked down the corridor toward Transfiguration. She felt like she had a weight lifted off her shoulders. Bray's sister was no longer teaching Transfiguration, and you have no idea how happy that made Ellie.
However, a darkness did cloud over Ellie's mind. She hadn't had a decent conversation with Bray in ages, not since, well, he had started ignoring her first. Childish, yes, but Ellie didn't know how to handle it any other way. She was ignoring him, as painful as it was.
Ellie reached the door and peered in. Crap. she thought. There Bray sat, right next to Fay. Ellie sighed. She didn't know exactly what to do. There was a chair in the corner, slightly behind the couch. Bray wouldn't see her. Perfect.
Ellie silently walked in the room, trying not to draw any attention to herself. Oddly enough, she actually succeeded. She sat in her picked out chair and place her back slowly on the ground. Score!
Why couldn't Bray and Ellie just make up? It was way to much effort to avoid him.

Another day another class. She was ready for term to be over already. Why she had no idea she was simply tired now and this year seemed to be dragging on. She had spent most of her time studying, and when she wasn't doing that she was reading up on things she needed to be studying. It was tiring and tedious and she was sorely tired of it all. At that very moment she was sitting there reading her Transfiguration book. Possibly the quiet in the library caused her to finally look up realizing that most of the other students had left most likely for class, Alexis didn't bother to look at her watch and simply took off. The librarian calling after her when she went.
Just so happened the book she had her nose buried in happened to be the class she was heading to. Transfiguration used to be her favorite class, but even today she couldn't seem to make herself seem all that enthused. Sighing she rounded the corner and as the doorway came into view she slipped into class prepared to take a seat at her normal desk but when she took one good look her mouth dropped open. The class didn't even look like a class. It looked like the kind of place she might actually hang out in.
Then she noted the new professor. The staff at her school changed like the weather that lately she had to do double takes when walking into a classroom lately. Fixing the shocked look on her face she smiled instead and said a nice happy good morning to her new teacher. "Hello Professor I'm Alexis" and with that she went to find a comfy place to sit, noticed her Sarie and headed for her. "Hey Sarie fancy seeing you here" she joked.

Sarie looked up to see Alexis. "I know we never have class together." She laughed. She lowered her voice. "Whats the gamps law? I never heard about it. Until today." Sarie didn't like teachers that made them go over things they already knew about what was the point of that. She wanted to learn something while she was in the class room.
