TVI.LI. The Great Debate.

Alana carefully took note of each person who walked in to the room, putting a name with a face in most circumstances and giving a curt nod to anyone who bothered to greet her. Most just gave their little opinions on her set-up before sitting down and socializing. Which was all fine and dandy with her and she certainly didn't care if they liked it or not. Might as well be comfortable for the lesson she had planned for today.

As one rather clumsy girl managed to tip over a good portion of the chairs on her way in and nearly crush some people, she frowned a bit. "It was a lovely set-up miss Kier, I do hope that next time you'll put in more effort to be nice to our.. equipment, though. This isn't a class that you can fool around in." She said with a bit of an irritated frown before righting said chairs again with a flick of her wand and also pulled an easel with a dry-erase board on it towards her. For now, everything was in place that she'd need and all she needed now were her students.

But she'd waited long enough for them to show and it seemed that this was going to be all she'd get unless some of them were lazy bumps that would show up later. Ah, either way, it didn't matter to her. Thinking over the best way to gain their attention and start the class, she soon overheard a couple of students talking about Gamp's law. Perfect.

"Miss Thimble, there's no need to whisper to your neighbor. Today we're all going to speak up and no question will be silly." She said, raising a 'brow momentarily before taking her eyes away from the younger girl and back towards the rest of the class. "She brought up a good point, though, and I'll project her question for you all. What is, Gamp's Law?"

Almost as soon as she said it, though, she heard a scoff from a young man that turned out to be Mister Reed and nodded at him. "That's exactly my point. We don't know, specifically, what anything is on Gamp's Law except for one. The rest is... long lost and disputable." She said, not wanting to step on too many toes though since it was just another opportunity for points.

"But who knows what Gamp's Law is supposed to contain? Not any of the clauses, just generally, what is it?" As soon as the first student answered she nodded and put her hand up to silence anyone who wished to add on. It was enough for her, plus, the entire time they were just going to be talking about it anyway.

There were a lot of times when Bray would go to Transfiguration like it was nothing then as soon as he got in there, he'd wonder why the hell he'd bothered to come to the class. There wasn't much that he could be taught in the subject and it was just a waste of his time. If they wanted to fail him in it, he could just transform in front of them and be like 'Do you really think I fail this class?'. Not that any Professor would take that seriously. Damn people and their enthusiasm for essays and schoolwork.

Leaning on Fay just enough that it'd be annoying to her, he smirked up at her a bit. "Elle supposed to be in this class with us?" The question normally would've been excited, or at the very least bit, interested, but today it was more like a tedious thought of having to share this odd classroom with her. Which it almost would be, what with them having to act like they weren't aware of the other being there.

But soon he looked up and straight up off his friend as soon as the teacher called them to attention. Gamp's Law, was that really what they were going to talk about today? He scoffed at the impossibility of that. "No one knows what Gamp's Law is. It's been lost for a while." He said, out of habit of kicking out his opinion without being asked. Typical, leave it to him to try and get off on the wrong foot with a new teacher. Not that many of them stayed very long anyway.

[Felicity Locke]

It was rather funny to go from May bearing down on the students with her brutish ways, to this new teacher just greeting them with a smile and providing rather comfortable chairs. Felicity snuggled further into the couch, and probably would've purred if she was...well...Bray. The thought made a laugh escape from her lips, but she bit down on her bottom lip to stop giggles from erupting from her.

Obviously, Bray had no sense of personal space. But, she'd known that already hadn't she? "I dunno, I'm pretty sure she does. Wouldn't you know before I would?" She flicked his nose and pushed his head away from her and rolled her eyes. Kitty boy usually insinuated that he could have awesome smelling powers! And quick reflexes or whatever...Fay'd have to test that out again, considering she hadn't glomped him the halls lately.

Felicity kept her mouth shut as Bray spoke, a small smile curving on her lips as she did. Well, Bray had his moment, her time to shine. "Gamp's Law roughly states that certain objects cannot be created by magic. It has five clauses if I remember correctly." She crossed her legs and leaned one arm on the arm rest as she did. She cast a quick glance around the room, then returned to looking at the professor, waiting for her to say something again.

[Melusine Beauxmon]

It was nine o'clock and Potions had just ended. Melusine gathered up her things and left with a rush. Melly hated Potions, she never wanted to use a potion, she thought they were silly and stupid, why brew something, it would make you look funny, but there really wasn't anything not funny about being a witch. She giggled to herself at her little inquiry and began to skip down the corridors. She had Transfiguration next, Mells loved Transfiguration. She had taken it ever since she was a first year. Melusine found the subject fascinating and ever since she was twelve had the dream of becoming a white mouse animegus.

Her schedule was wonderful. She had one boring class and then a fantastic intresting one that Melly actually cared about attending. Melusine was walking swiftly through the halls and in a hurry, she didn't want to be late for her first day of Transfiguration. Melly wasn't watching where she was going and didn't notice a Slytherin stick out it's foot. Melusine rammed right into the foot and went flying. Her books hit the floor and then she landed right on top of them. "Ouch that hurt!" Mel mumbled under her breath as she debated screaming her head off at that Slytherin. She gathered her books and was off in a flash to Transfiguration.

Melusine was at the door and realized class had already started. Great Melly thought. She was late. Just what she feared. Professor Duncan was talking about Gamps Law, what a perfect subject. She slid into the door, smiled at the Professor, and took a seat behind Alexis Heart. Her full attention was now on the teacher and was on her best behavior.
