Felicity leaned against one of the trees and pushed some hair out of her face. How late was it anyway? She glanced up at the sky, but couldn't see the moon anymore over the trees.
Scott said something again, and she quickly looked back over to him. Felicity blinked at first, not fully comprehending. Her heart burst into a sprint again, but Fay's face was still a mask of shock. "I, er, what?" Now this ws a field where even her brains couldn't solve.

Scott laughed at her, "I was just kidding. I'm not like that. I don't go around kissing girls for the fun of it," he said standing next to her. He looked at Fay; her face was still in shock. Scott started laughing, "Fay? Are you alright?" When she wouldn't answer, he leaned over and gave her a small kiss on the cheek.

Felicity grinned and laughed slightly. "Yea, just a little tired I think. My brain hasn't-" He kissed her cheek and she cut off instantly, her eyes widening again. Her cheeks instantly blushed scarlet and she touched her cheek softly.
Did she have her charm on? She couldn't tell anymore, because her heart was racing so hard that she barely had time to think.

Scott looked at Fay and wondered if he did something wrong. He ran his hand through his hair nerviously and stuck the other one in his pocket. "Um... should I not have done that?" he asked her.
Scott looked at her in confusion then decided to take a seat on the grass again. He didn't want to intrude on her thoughts so he sat there silently. He looked at the scenery and leaned his head back against a tree. He looked back up at Fay and gave a small chuckle. "Come here," he said grabbing her hand lightly and pulling her down by him. He was careful so she wouldn't fall and hurt herself.

Felicity's fingers were still placed lightly on her cheek, and her eyes were still wide. Did he just do what she thought? He did. She wasn't imagining it. He just kissed her cheek.
Scott grabbed her hand lightly, and it dragged her out of her thoughts. She plopped down beside him, and brought her knees up to her chest. Fay wrapped her arms around her legs and moved some hair from her face. "I don't understand. Why did you do that?"

Scott looked at Felicity in thought. Did he do something bad? Now he was confused. He decided to answer her question truthfully. He gave a slight shrug and looked at her with a smile, "Because I wanted to," Scott looked at her with a worried look, "Should I not have?" he asked her.

Felicity glanced over to him again, and a small smile crossed her face. "I guess I'm just used to being friends with guys." She gave a small laugh and shook her head. "I'm pathetic."
She rested her chin on her knees. Her hair hid her blush, thank god for that. She felt as if her cheeks would be red forever. "If you wanted to, I guess I didn't mind." Fay glanced at him and smiled, before looked back up at the moon.

Scott looked at the moon along with Fay, "Well, I'm all for being friends if that's what you want," he said, a smile playing across his face. He glanced at her for a moment, "And you're not pathetic, just so you know. That was my fault, not yours."
Scott brought up a knee and let one of his arms rest on it. He looked at the moon again then back at Fay. He couldn't help but smile everytime he looked at her. Probably because she was blushing and she was very bad at hiding it.

Felicity was silent for a moment, thinking. "Hmm, what I want." She grinned after a moment and layed back down on the ground. "What I want to do right now is enjoy this night and not have to worry about anything else." Fay stretched her hands over her head and grinned up at the moon.
The forest was her escape, much to her friends' displeasure. They didn't seem to understand that Felicity hated to think that she had to be confined to one spot. One area. She was a free soul, for lack of a better term, and she planned to keep it that way.

Scott looked at her and nodded, "Alright," he said looking away and back up at the moon. If she wanted to relax, Scott wouldn't stop her from doing so. He stayed silent for her and even debated about getting up and heading back inside. Scott sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
He looked at her through the corner of his eye and decided to stay here with her. He turned towards her and smiled, unable to come up with anything to say, he turned away again, the smile still planted on his face. He closed his eyes and listened to the wind fight its way through the clustered leaves of the forest. It was almost calming.

Another gust burst through the forest and Felicity shuddered slightly. She rubbed her arms and wished she had remembered that the forest was always colder at night.
Scott seemed unusually quiet, and she turned to see if he was alright. Maybe what she had said offended him. Fay was never good at these kind of things when it came to herself. Sure, she could help her friends with relationship problems, but when it came to her, she tended to be clueless.
Maybe it was because of her mother's eccentric nature, and many boyfriends. Felicity, personally, always swore to only use her charm when she was in danger. Her mother was a different sotry.
"Hey, Scott. Can you keep a secret?" She turned back to looking at the moon, not really wanting to watch him become disgusted with her once she told him what she was.

Scott opened his eyes and looked at Fay when he heard her speak. He noticed she was rubbing her arms so he took off his jacket. He placed it over her shoulders and gave her a smile, "Sure I can," he answered her. Scott watched her turn away but didn't think anything of it. He waited for her to speak again.

Felicity grinned as he gave her his jacket. "Thanks." She snuggled deeper into it, it was still warm from him.
Fay sighed and sat back up. "Alright. Just don't scream, or faint. I don't think I could drag you back to school." She made a face. Alright, here goes nothing. "Well, um, I'm not 'normal'." Fay rolled her eyes for a moment. "And no, I don't mean because of my personality. What I mean to say is, I'm not just a witch." Felicity gaze flicked instantly to her hands as she intertwined her fingers. "I'm half veela."

Scott stared at her. No expression was on his face. Was this why she acted so strangely when he kissed her? Scott looked away from her for a while. He remembered hearing the stories from his grandmother and his mother. They were both veela. Scott, however, wasn't. His father wanted a son, and veela's could only produce female heirs, so they adopted Scott from a poor wizarding family.
He looked back up at her and shrugged, "Did you think that would scare me away, Fay?" he asked, "I grew up with Veela. I know the stories by heart. I'm not afraid," he said grabbing her hands and looking at her. "Can I tell you a secret?" he asked in return.

Felicity hated the silence, and she cringed slightly, still not looking at him. What surprised her though, was how calm he was. Her eyes widened and she looked back over to him. "You're not afraid I'm going to accidently charm you or something?" She grinned, feeling like a weight had been lifted.
"Alright." Fay looked down at their hands. His hands held both of hers. She looked back up at him before she started to blush again.
