Felicity clutched her coat tighter to herself as she wandered to the edge of the forest. She needed to be away from her friends. Fay couldn't deal with it anymore. Her emotions were ready to burst inside her.
Fay held her wand close to her as she wandered deeper into the forest. She had been to this spot many times. Felicity leaned against the tree and closed her eyes, trying to will her sadness away. Please tell me it didn't happen.
Tears flowed steadily down her cheeks now, and she brought her knees up to her chest. Fay rested her head on her knees, sobbing quietly to herself. "That's what he thinks of me isn't it? A monster." She clutched tighter onto her arms and shook her head slowly from side to side.
"I don't want to be me."

For some reason, Scott found himself on the edge of the forest with a book. A book? Scott never reads! As he turned the page hesitantly, he heard some footsteps approaching. Quickly he ducked behind a tree and watched as a Ravenclaw girl sat down. She was crying and Scott didn't like watching girls cry. He saw enough of it with his mother.
With a sigh, He closed his book and walked over there. He overheard her say something and he felt like responding, "I don't think anyone really wants to be themselves these days," He said looking down at her. "You alright?" he asked. 'Well of course she's not, she's crying. Idiot!' He thought to himself.

Felicity heard the faint sound of a book shutting. She wiped her tears and looked up, glancing around. A boy seemed to have come out of the trees, and her eyes widened slightly. Fay stood quickly and pulled some of her hair behind her ear.
She shook her head slowly. "Yea well, I feel for them." Felicity took a slight step back. When she stood she noticed that she was standing kind of close to him, and she had to admit it felt rather awkward.
"Sorry you had to see me like that. I just-" Felicity cut off quickly. Darn her emotions, almost making her blurt out random things. "I'm just having a hard week is all." Well, it wasn't totally a lie.
"Who're you, if you don't mind me asking. I've never seen you around school."

When the girl stood up he took a step backwards to give her some space, "Tough week, eh? I guess you could say I'm having one of those as well," he responded, running a hand through his hair. Scott looked down at the book and placed it behind him.
Scott smiled at her, "Oh, I'm Scott. Scott Brooks. I'm a seventh year Gryffindor, so maybe that's why you haven't seen me around. Plus I'm not taking alot of classes this year, I have too much stress to take any more classes than I already have," he said truthfully.

"Scott Brooks? Felicity Locke. fifth year Ravenclaw." Felicity gave him a small smile, trying to work up her mood. Her gaze flicked to the book for a moment that he had hidden behind his back. Her gaze hardened slightly as she thought of Bray again. Monster. His voice rang in her head and she turned away, hiding her wince.
"Yea, stressful year. So much is going on this year." Fay frowned slightly, still looking off at the forest. Slowly, she shifted her attention back to Scott. "So what brings you out here? Normally students just don't come out here to read. Trust me on that one." She laughed slightly, but it was still rather obvious, for the people who knew her, that Fay was far from cheered up.

Scott laughed, "Well, Um... Actually I was reading. And the reason I was out here reading was becuase I don't really like to read. But for some reason, I got attacted to this book," he said bringing it out from behind his back again, "It's about a singer leaving his band and living amongst muggles. It's pretty interesting, plus it keeps my mind off of the events happening back at home," he said looking from the book to her.
Scott shrugged, "It's usually quiet here, you know?" he said.

Felicity grinned wistfully, her gaze far off. "Reading helps us to escape from the world. At least, I think it does." She turned her attention back to Scott. "Sounds interesting though. Might have to borrow it from you when you're done." A grin flashed across her face for a moment.
"Quiet, yea. That's why I came out here." Her gaze slid down to the ground as she leaned against a tree. She rubbed her arms. "My friends almost never come out here, so I knew they wouldn't find me." Her voice was soft again as she stared at the ground, still rubbing her arms.

Scott nodded, "Ah, I see. You're hiding from the world. That's not really nice to them, is it? I'm sure they're looking for you," he said leaning against a tree close to him. "You have friends, be glad" he said raising his hands.

Felicity looked back up at him, her gaze suddenly sharp. "He's the reason I'm out here. No good filthy-" She cut off and sighed, pressing her fingers softly to her forehead. "Nevermind. Just...nevermind."
She looked back up at him when he mentioned friends. Felicity crossed her arms and leaned back against the tree. "Alright then, from now on, you and I are friends." She stood and walked over to him. "No if, ands or buts, got it?" Fay grinned. "Now don't say you don't have any friends. Tons of people probably like you."

Scott shrugged, "Well he must be a real arse to have made you upset," he said looking down at the ground. Scott laughed at her statement, "Ok then, friends we are," he said with a slight shake of his head.
He smirked, "Actually, I don't really have many friends. I'm not a very popular person. I have a few, but I guess thats all someone really needs."

A slight blush crept up her cheeks, and she turned away for a moment. Curse her girlish emotions. She composed her face then looked back to Scott. Her grin widened. "I'm always happy to make a new friend."
She giggled a little at his second statement. "Yes well, I'm right there with you. Usually I frighten people away. I'm a little too...outgoing." Felicity laughed and tapped her nose. "I think they're just crazy though. Who wouldn't like two people like us?"

Scott laughed and brought a hand up to his face. He rubbed his eyes for a moment then let his hand dropped, "Apparently, everyone," he said with a slight chuckle. I personally think being outgoing is rather a good thing. Who'd want to be shy? If everyone was shy, then no one would have friends," he said standing up straight.

"Well, maybe they don't choose to be shy. Maybe they're just too frightened to speak up. Some people are just like that." Felicity shrugged and sat back down. No use standing around.
She leaned back on her hands and tilted her face up toward the sky. The trees blocked most of the moon, but she could still see some of it's light shining out. A grin worked its way across her face once more. "Pretty isn't it?"

Scott watched her sit back down and stare up at the sky, "Yeah, it sure is," he said referring to her. Scott cleared his throat and looked at up at the sky, "I mean, the moon is shining relly bright," he said trying to keep his face from turning red. 'Why did I say that?' He asked himself.
Scott gave a somewhat embarassed laugh, "I guess people just don't like to speak up these days," he said. After his last statement, Scott stayed silent.

"Mmhm." Felicity gave a soft sigh and looked back up at Scott. "Wanna sit?" She patted the spot next to her.
"I think people should speak their minds. Let the world know what they want. Stand up for themselves." Fay leaned up against the tree and shifted so her legs were to one side. "I think we should stand up for our beliefs, and not give up just because someone else tells you you're wrong."
