Bradyn jumped back with a fierce hiss as the snake seemed to come out of no where, no doubt it was one of professor vaid's charms. Snakes was one of the ingredients on the list: perfect. Going at this alone was proving to be much more helpful than sticking around with that snake.
Although he did have a new snake to worry about, great. Narrowing his eyes as it jumped for the nearest barn owl, Bray figured that it would be best to get rid of the owls in here before one of them became it's snack and some poor little first year had their heart broken. 'I need to get them out... but how?' He thought, looking around at the mob of napping birds.
Well, they were birds.. and he was a cat. He could always do that. But it seemed rather cruel considering he was actually human, but it was either he scare them or the snake eats them. 'They'll thank me later.' He thought before marching up to most of the owls and hissing and batting at some of them. The ones with any sense flew up quickly and left, leaving only a few feathers behind. The more stupid ones just hooted in fear.
'Ugh, fine, be eaten.' He thought with what could only be described as his cat form trying to roll its eyes unsuccessfully. Now, for the snake, how was he expected to take this thing out? Fighting it as a cat would just be foolish, why should he put his own body on the line for a lesson?
Sliding back towards the center of the room as a boy again, he faced the snake and squared his shoulders before pulling out his wand. "Here, snakey, snakey!" But sadly, the thing listened and leaped straight for him. "Ahh!" He shouted weakly, waving his wand wildly without a spell coming to mind.
{ Hope there isn't too much G-moding SJ xD }

Bradyn & Angelique As the owls flee, a few stragglers stay behind from sheer stubbornness, luckily away from the snakes reach. As the snake pounces, how would be a great time to capture, do you try and get it or leave and find another one?
Sarie & Madeline Sarie successfully picks some dried nettles!! (Ingredients so far; Nettles)
Polaris & Beckii Polaris searches the floor of the forest once more but finds no traces of any other porcupines. Just to tease her, the porcupine comes into view once again on the other side of the barrier. (Ingredients so far; Snake Fangs)
Jason & Alexis - (Ingredients so far; Horned Slugs)
Cairo & Via -
PS, LESSON WILL END ON AUGUST 19TH ready for a new lesson for new term!

Potions was always a lesson that Dean had enjoyed, in a strange way it reminded him of cooking and for a Hufflepuff that was always a good thing. The collecting of ingredients, the careful preparation and mixing them in the right steps to get it just right to make the perfect potion, in Dean’s eyes it was an art form that needed to be taken with great care! With this in mind it was a surprise to find the Hufflepuff running late for the lesson, it was true that he had been up all night seeing as he had had Astronomy during the night and he could never sleep after that lesson.
Stepping into the classroom late Dean only heard the end of the Professor little speech and it seemed like he was too late to be divided up into pairs, ’Oh well’ he thought ’If that is the punishment for being late I will take that.' With a small sigh Dean perched at the end of the table and let the hordes of the class disappear first of all meaning he had a clear look at the chalkboard so he knew exactly what he had to do. Pulling out his quill and an odd bit of parchment he scribbled down the locations and items’ knowing all to well that his memory was not the best in the world and after finding one thing would have forgotten about the rest.
‘Slow and Steady wins the race’, that is what his parents would say, ‘Use your brain over brawn’ and that is what Dean was going to do. He made his mind up to go to the library first, it was a place he knew well indeed and thought that if there were ingredients in there then they would be bloody obvious to spot. It was a long walk from the dungeons to the library on the fourth floor but Dean took his time working out a game plan, maybe Miss Marsh would know something and he could ask her…there was no rule about asking other staff members for help.
Pushing open the doors of the library Dean peered around trying to see if anything was too obvious, but then Professor Vaid was smarter then to leave a load of snakes lying around in the library. Walking further into the rows of bookshelves Dean kept his eyes peeled for anything that was out of the ordinary.

Sarie smiled as she looked the nettles in her hand. "We did it. How about we check the forest and see what we can find?" She asked Madeline. She folded the hankerchife and put in her robes.

Shrieking and stepping away from the nasty whatever she had just found Cairo wiped water from her face. "Lets check in the forest?" She suggested shakily, her hands matching her voice as the pair took off running across the lawns and to the forest. "I remember seeing a little den around here with quills around it.." She murmured under her breath, and Via waved her over. "Is this it?" She questioned her, and the Slytherin shook her shoulders, tilting her head to the side. "I'm not quite sure." She got down on her hands and needs, poking through the bushes and looking for the creature. This lesson was proving to be quite, well, not fun. Covering in frog slime and water, and here she was running around in the bushes and the dirt. Ah well, at least it was an original class idea.
Prodding her finger on something the Slytherin drew back, peering around a branch and catching sight of something prickly. Hoping it was a porcupine, or perhaps nettles, she crawled closer.
