May smiled as she entered her classroom for her first lesson, smiling down at the large box she was currently holding. She had quite a lesson planned and she hoped the students would enjoy it. As soon as she entered, she set the box down on the nearest desk. 'Dear, dear. I should've levitated that thing; I didn't realize it was so heavy.' She thought as she pulled out her wand to add a bit of her own touches to the room. The curtains opened wide to let in sunshine, and a piece of white chalked wrote "Professor Mayella Reed; feel free to socialize until class starts." in her curly handwriting that she doubted most students could read it. Satisfied with the room, she picked the box back up again and set it down on her desk, opening the lid to peek in on the contents. Smiling, she reached her hand into the box for a moment before quickly pulling her hand out and swearing. "Damn, the little buggers bite." Professor Reed laughed it off and walked over to a cupboard, looking for a stack of trays she was told were in said cupboard. Digging around, she frowned at the mess that was left by the previous teacher. Pulling out the trays, Mayella set them down on her desk quickly and frowned at how dusty there were. How long had it been since there was Transfiguration taught at the school? Finally set up for her lesson, May reached into the box and pulled out two white rabbits. "Fera verto." One rabbit was quickly transformed into a black top hat and May put it on her head while she put the other rabbit on her shoulder, just for show. Sitting down in her desk like this, she waited for the first students to show up. 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 [Note from nicole: if you haven't noticed, I haven't been posting. This is because of my life sucking, pressures of school, and post-block. I thought I'd post this since I wrote it before and planned to edit it. I hope it's not too bad, but it's like all I have.. ]

Adam walked into the room with a smile. "Hello Professor." he greeted the young woman, taking a seat, he waited patiently for class to begin. Looking at his hand, Adam contemplated not for the first time what it would be like to be married. Sure, he and Lidia would have their ups and downs like any other couple, but it was all going to be worth it. This, Adam knew for a fact. And so it was with a smile, that he waited for the other students to arrive.

Sarie hurried to her transfiguration class. It was a new teacher. When she entered to her surprise it was another Ministry Official just like Herbology. She wanted to know what they wanted here. Why do they need to mess around here. "Hello Professor." She said as she took her seat.

Kendal's favorite and hardest class all in one. Transfiguration was probably one of the most interesting classes Hogwarts offered, one of the ones she spoke of most highly, but it was one of the ones she sometimes had trouble with. Turning one things into something else wasn't as easy as it looked, she begrudged those students who seemed to make it seem so easy, though it wasn't their fault. Upon entering Kendal glance over at the professor, smiled then kept walking. Next thing she knew she was doing a double take. Tripping over her own foot she knocked into one of the desks but was too shocked to be embarrassed about it.
Sitting down, her mouth hung open a bit. There on the teachers head was a top hat and sitting snuggly on her shoulder there was a rabbit. This looked like something straight out of some muggle magic show. She tried not to giggle too much, but she failed miserably. The giggle broke out, and she slapped a hand to her mouth to silence it. If anything this class would be interesting.
The bunny twitched its nose the way bunnies always do and Kendal smiled, it was so hard not to. Such a cute little animal bunnies were. Kendal always wanted one but her mother thought they bite too much and were a danger. Sighing she thought about how many times her mother had said NO. One of these days she'd have to do some rebelling. Maybe she'd start with a pet. Hogsmeade had a pet shop didn't it? Perhaps she would gain herself a fluffy white bunny of her very own. She knew there was a reason she enjoyed Transfiguration.

Mayella continued to wait for her class, smiling as some of the early birds came in. She didn't recognize any of them, and figured none of them were students Bradyn had told her of. Sitting up in her chair, she let her hand travel to the animal on her shoulder, petting it lightly to calm her nerves. "Hello all, I'm glad to see such enthusiastic students come so early." Cheerfully was an understatement, and she hoped she hadn't scared any of them. "Could I ask for an introduction from you all? I'm Professor Mayella Reed, as the board behind me says." Glancing around at the class, she noticed a small Gryffindor that looked familiar. Perhaps she had seen her before? And by the look she was receiving, she judged that the girl didn't trust her. May shrugged it off, careful not to disturb the rabbit. "And I see you've noticed my friend here. We'll be working with these rabbits for a while, I do hope no one's allergic or has any other problems with these cuddly friends of mine." The professor shut her trap, realizing that she had been talking an awful lot. Her nerves were starting to get to her, rambling being the first step of her nervous breakdown. This class will go fine, May. Don't worry.10 | 5 | 0 | 0

Adam smiled at Professor Reed. "Nice to meet you Professor. I'm Adam de Mocenigo" he replied.

Felicity ran her hand through her hair, trying to fix it up. Walking outside probably wasn't the best idea before class, because she was hit by a gust of wind once she had gotten outside. And, it seemed, it had messed up her hair. Fay walked into the classroom, grumbling and still trying to tame her hair.
She glanced over to the board, and nearly dropped her books in surprise. Professor Mayella Reed.[/b] She sat there for a moment, just staring at the board. Felicity probably looked pretty strange, just standing there with her unruly hair gaping at the board.
Finally, Fay turned to the teacher. There were definite similarities. A grin flashed across her face as she walked up to the professor. "Professor Reed? I'm Felicity Locke." Fay blew some hair out of her face, then looked back at the Professor. "I'm a, er, friend of Bradyn's." Well, at the moment they were on shaky ground, but the whole world didn't need to know it.[/font]

Jeremy walked down the corridor to his Transfiguration class. Rumor had it there was a new professor for that class, as well as the Herbology class. What was with the new professors? Rumor also had it, that they were related to students. But, that was probably just another stupid rumor. Walking into the class room, he sat down at a desk somewhat towards the back.
Looking up, he read the professor's name. "Professor Reed.." He mumbled, shrugging, and sitting back into chair. Staring at the rabbit on her shoulder, Jerms figured this teacher was going to either be a softie, or a loopy one.
[cruddy, but I wanted to post in this class <<;]

May nodded politely at the boy, Adam. "Lovely to meet you, too." She said pleasantly before looking up at who entered, not taking much notice of the blank look she was getting. May judged her to be an odd, mental girl until she introduced herself. May jumped up out of her seat, and walked around her desk, seizing the girl in a hug. "Oh my goodness! I've heard so much about you!" She said, finally releasing the girl but keeping both her hands firmly clasped in hers. The professor held the girl at length, looking her over quickly. "I didn't think he had pretty friends." She muttered, talking mostly to herself. Realizing that she was probably embarrassing the girl to death, she let her go. "Take a seat, everyone." She said, addressing the whole class even though Felicity was the only one standing. May patted the confused rabbit fondly as she sat down, forgetting that she shouldn't freak out with the poor thing on her shoulder. Ah, well. It's not like he wasn't used to her anyway. May smiled at the Hufflepuff that entered, waiting for him to introduce himself along with the others. 10 | 10 | 5 | 0

Sarie sat on the edge of her chair. She didn't know what to expect. She had seen this woman once before in the Three Broomsticks but other then that she didn't know any thing about her. She was their second ministry teacher. Thought the rabbit on her shoulder was rather cute. She was ready to learn if she was ready to teach. She shivered at the thought of having another round with the other ministry officials she at least looked at lot more friendly.

Ashton rushed breathlessly into the room. "Uh, hi professor. Sorry I'm late." he said with a sheepish smile, his hand automatically going up to sweep his hair out of his sapphire eyes. "Hey Lissie." he said, seeing his friend.

Felicity squeaked as the professor drew her into a hug. Her cheeks flushed red and for a moment she was lost for words. "You heard about me?" Fay blinked and blushed again as Mayella complimented her. Good thing Felicity wasn't one who really cared what other students thought.
Ash seemed to have stumbled into the room. Felicity grinned and grabbed his arm. "Let's find our seats Ash." She threw another grin at Mayella then turned and practically dragged Ash with her. She chose a seat somewhat in the middle and sat down. Fay waited for Ash to sit before turning back to Professor Reed. Well, this day was interesting.
Felicity pulled back her hair into a ponytail, just happy to get it out of her face. She turned her attention back to the Professor, almost eager to find out what Bradyn's sister was like. He'd told her some stories about her, most of them being about her slightly violent side, but Fay still wanted that first impression.

Ash laughed in protest as Lissie literally dragged him to a seat. "Woah, hold on a minute Liss! What are you trying to do woman? Pull my arm out of the socket?" he asked, rubbing his arm as he sat down.

Yeah, this professor was a loopy one. When she'd attacked the student, Jeremy just wanted to get out of the class then. Mental professors scared him, they were just ... mental.. But, he refrained from getting up, in case she was to attack him next. Looking back from the rabbit to the Professor, he could tell she was expecting something. Glancing around the room, he remembered coming in when they were introducing themselves. "Oh. Sorry, I'm Jeremy Willowster."
This was going to be an interesting lesson, because now that Jerms thought the professor was mental, he wasn't going to be able to pay attention with the possibility that she might just jump up on the table and start turning everyone into socks. 'I've been at Hogwarts way to long..' He thought, remembering his sane household with his Muggle parents and younger Muggle sister. Sitting back in his chair, even more, he relaxed a bit. At least mental professors made lessons fun, compared to the ones who just droned on and on about nothing.

Bradyn had worn a his set of Hogwarts robes that were a couple sizes too big, hoping he could just run away and hide in the extra fabric. He debated ditching this class many times, but he decided in the end that he had to be there to see how she was, and make sure she didn’t let any embarrassing details out about him. Walking in, he held his head low hoping not to be spotted and practically ran to the spot next to Ash and Fay. “Hey guys,” He whispered, still trying to remain unnoticed. When he looked at Fay, he realized that May must’ve done something to her. She was as red as a tomato, and Bray highly doubted that Ashton was hitting on her.
“Miss anything?” He muttered to Ash when he heard a Hufflepuff introducing himself, wondering how his sister reacted to their own introductions. Ashton and Felicity were names that she could recognize from his letters, something Bradyn regretted doing already. Pulling out his books, Bray silently prepared himself for the worst class ever. Even worse than Herbology with that nut Travis.
