Ok, so she hadn't been listening at all, and totally missed the assignment. But honestly, did the Ravenclaw really had to be the biggest know it all in the world. Like Dahlia hadn't heard him. However, she wasn't going to let him think she was that stupid.
"Well, duh." She said to the boy, rolling her eyes. "I meant what kind of top hat. I mean, do you want a plain black one, I could probably get a white ribbon above the brim if you would like Professor." She said, teeth gleaming in a smirk. HA! Whose dumb now! She doubted the Ravenclaw could totally BS his way out of that one.

This was a hard day and had she not found the time to go outside even for just a few seconds she might have become postal. Sometimes the castle was just stifling and she felt like she had to escape. As she leaned against the wall nearest the path that led to the green houses she took in a few deep breaths before the damned bell went off again. Sighing she scooped everything up and decided it was time to go to class like a good little girl.
At least it wasn't too bad since she was headed to her favorite class. Alexis was a transfiguration girl through and through. So she actually skipped along to class happily as she entered the room which was already full. Lucky she wasn't late but she wasn't early either so she slipped in and took an empty seat somewhere in the middle. Then she noticed the animals of there were so many. Her stomach began to get tied in knots a ball of excitement forming. She quickly got back up and walked back to where the box was situated and she ended up with a tiny mouse. Not her typical type of animal but it was what was there so she took the squeaking creature. Settling back down she placed it on her desk and somehow he knew not to move. At least she wouldn't have to worry about that. Now she was ready to learn.

Offering a look at Bray that could almost be passed off as grateful, but ended up more of a small smile anyway, Erys arched an eyebrow at her younger, less inexperianced rival, deducing that her comeback was lame at best. "Lets just tackle the basic black before attempting anything gaudy." She remarked dryly, hoping there was someone else that might take her place when the time came next year. Please, please.. Let there be someone else. Ah, yes! Ricky. He would do nicely for her replacement, as they were already allied and such. Perfect, problem solved. Though she wouldn't be too cautious on the matter, Erys knew when to be wary.
Petting the snake that the animagus had recovered from the boxes of critters, the little thing looked up at her with beady eyes, flicking its tongue out to taste the salt on her fingers. I might be wearing you out of here. Erys thought with a humorous smile, hoping she could learn how to turn it into a more tasteful piece of apparel besides a top hot. How about one of those cute black knit beanie hat things? Those were adorable, and they flattered her alot.
Paying no mind as the Ravenclaw entered the room, the Slytherin looked to the professor, expecting her to continue with the lesson now. She already knew, and perfected, most of the incantations, having taken this lesson all her years at Hogwarts. So this was just review when the final exams popped up, not like she needed it or anything.

Mayella glanced up in time to see a few new late arrivals to her class; A Slytherin, as was to be expected, and sadly a Ravenclaw. But she would not complain, the more the merrier and she preferred giving points to taking them away. "Welcome, glad to you you decided that you would join us." She said absently, but there was a bit of disappointment in her voice. "Do try to be earlier, then perhaps you will know what we will be doing." May started, but gleefully her brother decided he would finish and be kind enough to give the assignment to them. Ah, he was too nice, somehow that would have to change, but still she rewarded him with a few points.
"Miss Vesey, that will be quite unnecessary. As the requirements say the top hat must be black, I would assume that pinstripes, or any other sort of decoration would be failure to complete the assignment. The rabbits are white, thus the hat must be the complete opposite of that." Feeling that she had cleared up the little mishap about the assignment, she focused her attention back to the whole class.
"Now, although I'm sure that most of you already know how to transfigure, let us go over the process of Transfiguration, shall we?" Picking her wand up off her desk and pointing it at the rabbit she was going to demonstrate with, May sat on the desk facing her class. "I'm about to transfigure this rabbit. What is the first step to a successful transfiguration?" She would have thrown in a bit of a clue about zen and how people usually meditate to achieve this, but for wizards it was commonly known mostly for Transfiguration or complex charms.

Erys Grace thought for a moment, knowing that the general rule when beginning the process of performing a spell caused for concentration and a clear mind. Spells cast with muddled thoughts weren't very powerful, and didn't last long. About to repeat this, the Slytherin raised her hand, "Clearing your mind. If you dont, the spells either dont work, or turn out the way you dont want them to." Satisfied with her answer, she lowered her hand, proud of the level of points she had accumulated for her house. She had been so determined to have Slytherin win the house cup, and how close she had become! This year will be different.
Drawing her wand out of her sleeve, Erys ran her finger gently along the vampire fang, feeling the sharp point prick at her skin. It was beautiful, but deadly- she remembered being attacked by Cessily Monroe a few terms ago.

The professor seemed well Alexis wasn't really sure she just had one of her feelings, they weren't always accurate. No matter she thought as far as she was concerned the only thing she was there for was to learn transfiguration. As long as she liked the subject she was all set. As professor Reed asked the class what the first step was to transfiguration was Alexis thought it would be something like a clear head, too many thoughts and things would simply get in the way then who knows what you'd end up with. As she was about to raise her hand as had been customary lately someone beat her to it. How very frustrating, worse because it wasn't even someone from her own house. Slytherins were the last people she wanted having any points. She held back a sigh hoping there'd be time to redeem herself later.

Alright. Since I've been working on my next lesson plan for a while. And I have to say, I quite like the idea. I'll close down this half-dead lesson. Lesson Closed Be looking out for the next one.
