(RoR) Before Christmas Party

[Maeve Malfoy]

Boredom struck Maeve a long time ago. Nothing ever happens in the Slytherin common room, so she decided to go and walk around. And that's what she was doing.

Walking around, absolutely bored.

She kept turning corners and walking down different corridors, trying to entertain herself. She was on the seventh floor in front of the wall that she knew held the door for the Room of Requirement.

She had heard of some sort of Christmas party going on, but she didn't know who was throwing it or who was attending it. She figured it'd be better than walking around bored, so she walked three times in front of it, thinking, The party.

The door appeared and she walked in. Looking around she noticed a few people dancing. Shrugging, she leaned up against the closed doorway, which had turned back into the wall, and watched the people.

[Professor Ashton Laurent]

Ashton smiled at Alexis, well, if you don't mind Miss Alméida, I'm going to go mingle a bit. Making his way through the room, Ashton was surpised to see Maeve enter the room. "Maeve! Over here!" he called waving at his friend.

[Maeve Malfoy]

Maeve quickly snapped her head in the voice's direction. She smiled at the owner and waltzed over Ashton. "Hey, chiko. How are you?" she looked up at him.

[Mark Alméida]

The song changed and Mark looked up at Ari, he gave her an awkward smile, which he often found himself doing and headed over to the bar to pick up his drink again, looking at the doorway now to see who had come in, he smiled when he realised who it was, Maeve Malfoy. The least Slytherin-like girl he had ever met. He drank his pumpkin juice and gave a friendly nod in her drection, it seemed Ash already knew her anyway.

[Professor Ashton Laurent]

Ash smiled. "I'm good. How are you?"

<sup>Arabella sighed, tapping her foot to the beat of the song. She turned to Mark and smiled, "So..." unable to think of anything else, she glanced at the Slytherin girl who had walked through the door.

Ari stared down into her cup and the orange liquid, "what has this night turned into?" she asked herself quietly, "I think the party needs a boost," she told herself.</sup>

[Maeve Malfoy]

She grinned at Ashton and replied, "Bien." she laughed. "So, anything fun happening yet here, Ashy?"

Maeve waved to Mark and smiled at him before averting her eyes to the floor then back to Ashton.

[Professor Ashton Laurent]

Ashton shrugged. "No, not really. Talked to Mark, met his sister Alexis-Mai, danced with her, and now I'm trying to find my wayward boyfriend. I know he's around here somewhere."

[Maeve Malfoy]

Maeve laughed again. "Already losing your boyfriend? Well, you might want to find him soon. You never know what boy, or even girl, would steal him away from you." she joked. "And you don't want to go losing a boy like Maxi, do you, Ashy? He's everything you dream of." she poked at his shoulder. "How about I help you find him?"

[Professor Ashton Laurent]

Ash giggled (yes, giggled) and blushed. "They better stay away from him! And yes, he is everything I could have ever hoped for! Um...he should be around here somewhere." Then he remembered something he wanted to tell Maeve, "Ooh, guess what!?" he said excitedly, bouncing up and down like a hyper-active two year old.

[Maeve Malfoy]

Maeve shook her head playfully at her friend. If sugar counted as a gift, she'd already have his Christmas gift set. "I don't want to guess! Just tell me!" she replied just as hyper.

[Professor Ashton Laurent]

Ashton grinned as wide as his face would allow, "At then end of last term, Maxi and his dad offered to let me move in with them, so that I wouldn't have to go back home! Isn't that awesome?"

[Maeve Malfoy]

Maeve squealed, hugging Ashton. "Oh, Ashy, that's great! Now you can spend every holiday with your beau!" she smiled widely. "And you get to know his family better!" she hugged him again.

[Professor Ashton Laurent]

Ash grinned and hugged Maeve back. "Yeah, they're pretty cool. Of course the best part is, I don't have to be around my dad anymore."

Maeve grinned. "Most definantly. From what you said, he doesn't sound all too nice." She then decided to tease him a bit more. "Although, I would've guessed that spending every moment with Maxi would be the best part."
