"Hey!" Ashton protested as Maxi pulled a girl onto the dance floor, he knew they were just dancing but still, he wanted to dance with Maxi! Ash's eyes grew wide and his bottom lip stuck out as he pulled his adorable puppy dog pout face.

Alexis looked out over to Ashton and walked over to him, "Maxi's not one for liking the jelous type you know, he doesnt have to be by your side every second, he has got friends to you know" she told him, being a little harsh but still, he needed a serious adjustment if this was the way he was with Max. "Now stop pouting and either dance with someone else and let Max have a bit of fun, or come and get some juice." She finished off with a smile, showing him she meant no harm, tonight she was nice, tomorrow, she'd be back to cruel.

Ashton snickered, "I'm not jealous." he assured Alexis. "I just like teasing him." He smiled at her, "Would you care to join me in a dance Miss Alméida?"

"It sure looked like jelousy from my perspective" she laughed. He wasnt half bad really. "Max is easy to tease, trust me ive known him long enough" she smiled in Maxi's direction, "Sure, ill dance with you"

Ashton laughed. "It wasn't jealousy." he assured her, taking her hand, he led her out to the dance floor. "So, if you don't mind me asking, why do you hold people to such high standards? No one's perfect you know. I'm not, Maxi's not, Mark's not." He paused, and said quietly lest she decide to hex across the room and back, "You're not perfect either you know."

Alexis thought for a moment, she didnt actually know why she did, "Because I... Because i just do" she said as she got to the dance floor, she looked over at Mark who seemed to be trying to dance at least. Then over at Maxi who seemed to be having a ball, everyone was happy, even Dyanneabelle was. "Well you dont have to tell me my brothers not perfect, i know that, but saying that he is. In his own little way" she smiled, "Its not the word perfect that makes the person, its the person that makes perfect Ashton, and everybody has their own views on perfect. To me, my family is perfect, but to someone elses eyes they would be less than perfect, to Max, you are perfect, but to someone else, you are not. The people make perfection, not the other way around. Its just i have high standards of perfect thats all, i dont know why, maybe its just face, a persona if you will, and im sure Mark will make someone happy one day, he'll be perfect in someones eyes, and maybe i will be, but who knows what the future holds" Alexis didnt believe she had ever spoken so much to someone before. She smiled, despite herself.

Ashton laughed. He was really starting to like Alexis. "Can I ask you a question?" he asked as they spun around on the dance floor.

Alexis laughed as the two danced, it would seem this night was turning out to be alright after all, she smiled at her brother warmly. Though had an uncanny feeling to go and hug him, something she hadnt done since she was about twelve. "Yeah sure" she said to Ash.

Ash paused not sure how to begin. "Why do you think that purebloods are better than everyone else?" He flinched slightly waiting for the slap that was sure to come. Maybe she wouldn't hit him, but being raised by a father who used him as a punching bag made Ash rather nervous when asking questions of a sensitive topic.

"Because they are, im sorry but they are" Alexis shrugged, "Im not saying they are better people, in most cases they are not, but their blood is whole and purer, cleaner, better" It was the only way she knew how to word it. "I have beliefs like that, for i wouldnt have been placed in Slytherin otherwise. I do believe purebloods are better and im not very comfortable around muggleborns. Half bloods arent so bad, i can somewhat deal but... I dont know... Muggleborns creep me out" She looked at him, "It doesnt make me a bad person for thinking like that, its just how i am, but at the same time, i can be a nice person"

Mark felt her playing with his fingers though pretended he hadnt noticed. "I cant dance, especially not to this" he said, meaning the upbeat music. "I told you, Ari... I have two left feet and they arent good for dancing" Mark sighed, he was average and in some peoples eyes, average just wasnt good enough. But average was all Mark was ever going to be. He looked over at Alexis who was dancing with Ashton, and caught her gaze, giving her a smile.

Ash was still confused, "Well, blood is just blood. Or at least that's how I see it. But you know, even if you think that pureblood's are better, that doesn't mean you have to treat the other's like they're beneath you or something. Just get to know them as a person, you know see what's inside." He grinned, "But of course, your opinion is your own."

Arabella smiled, "Ok, you don't have to dance," she said to him, "But, if a slow song comes on, I'm kidnapping you," she said with a giggle. Arabella walked off the dance floor and went by Mark's youngest sister. She sighed and grabbed another cup of pumpkin juice. What's wrong with being average? It's not like I know how to dance either, she thought to herself. "You know, the only thing worse about dancing when you don't know how, is not dancing because you're afraid," She said to whoever was listening.

Polaris blinked for a moment as she watched Ari walk away from mark. Politely bowing her head, she spoke softly to Maxi, "Thank you for the dance. If you will please excuse me." Walking over to Ari slowly, she placed a hand on her shoulder while offering a warm smile. "Hey. Don't worry about him, I'm sure he'll come around."

Arabella smiled at Polaris, "I'm not worried, just confused," she said honestly. "I don't know how to dance either, yet I try. My mom didn't like the idea of dancing, only school so I'm more or less a nerd," she said with a laugh, "But, hey, a girls gotta have some fun in her life right? And when you mentioned dancing, I thought It'd be fun," Ari said with a smile.
Arabella shrugged, "I just think he's worried that I'd make fun of him, or anyone in that matter. But like I said, I don't know how either, and frankly, I don't care if anyone makes fun of me," She said with a big grin.
