(RoR) Before Christmas Party

"Its not an excuse! I do have two left feet, major disaster when im trying to dance, you'd end up with broken toes" Mark sighed, he was seriously appaling when it came to dancing, he just couldnt fathom out how to dance at all, he never tried but once, and that ended disasterously. "No, nobody has ever taught me, and in all honesty, im fine with it"

"Believe me i would prefer to feel the wrath of my sisters back hands than dance" Mark smiled at Ari, why were girls so adamant about dancing anyway? Probably just another girl thing Mark would never understand. "Dont you give me that innocent look, i know girls are not innocent." Mark said pouring himself some more pumpkin juice and looking over at Maxi as if asking to be rescued.

<sup>Arabella shrugged, "Fine then, I won't act innocent. I'll just have to drag you out there," she said with a smile.

Arabella grabbed Mark's hand and tried to pull him towards the dance floor, "Please, Mark," she said letting go, "Maxi won't save you, and if he tries, I'll make him dance too," she said with a mischeivious grin.</sup>

[Polaris Stormwrath]

"Well! I have a feeling Miss Ari knows how to dance, why don't you teach him, Ari!" Polaris said while smiling widely before leaning over and whispering to her. "It's a perfect chance to get closer to him, you know. And don't try to deny it, I know you like him." She said, knowing that her volume was low enough that Mark couldn't hear. Giving Ari a slight nudge, Polaris took a seat a few feet from the two.

Mark felt his arm being tugged but kept his ground, "You can plead all you like, the only time i will dance is when i am drunk, and believe me, unless someone has slipped alcohol into the pumpkin juice, dear, it wont be happening, though im sure Maxi would love to dance with you." He shouted over to his friend, "Oi Max, come dance with the lovely ladies!"

(He'll be on in a minute)

[Max Hennerdale]

Maxi heard the call from Mark and turned around to see someone holding his arm and trying to drag him out onto the dancefloor. Maxi couldnt help but laugh, he knew how much Mark hated dancing and he knew that he avoided it at all costs. Maxi walked over to them and smiled, "Why?" he asked, "You should give it a shot you know" Maxi laughed again, he couldnt help it, it seemed to be pick-on-Mark-night.

[Polaris Stormwrath]

Polaris shouted over to Ari and Mark. "Don't make me come over there, Mark! If you deny her a dance she'll...be mad at you!" She was just making this part up, hoping that that would motivate him to get him out on the dance floor. Though, if she needed to, Polaris would go over and pick Mark up and carry him to where Ari wanted. She smirked and shook a fist at Mark playfully.

Mark looked distraught, he wasnt sure which was worse, being dragged onto the dance floor, being bullied into doing it or having makup put on him. Then Maxi started, "Some mate you are!" he said with a laugh, "Come on man, you know i cant dance ill only make a fool out of myself for trying!" Mark looked at Ari, he knew she wanted him to dance, but he couldnt dance at all. He just had no sense of rythem.

<sup>Arabella laughed and looked at Mark, "See, I told you he wouldn't save you," she grabbed his hand again and gave it a small tug, "well, how bout you just come out there and stand for a moment. If you really don't want to dance, then you don't but if I get a chance to dance with a charming guy, I take it. So... please?" she said, pouting her lips.

Ari laughed when she heard what Polaris said, "And look, I have someone on my side," she said to Mark.</sup>

[Polaris Stormwrath]

Polaris looked to Ari with a wide grin. "Hey! Ari! Why don't you teach him how to dance?" She shouted to Ari, giving a nod of encouragement. Dancing honestly wasn't that hard!

[Max Hennerdale]

Maxi laughed at Mark, he seemed so adamant not to dance it was almost unreal. He looked to the other ravenclaw girl, he seemed to have caught her name, Polaris. He smiled at her and held out his hand, "Come on, lets show him how its done"

"Yeah, i guess he's not going to, but wouldnt you prefer to dance with him, i mean he's an excellent dancer, got medals for it and everything" He tried, hoping she would turn to Max for a dance and not him, though looking over at him, he saw Maxi holding out his hand for Polaris, "I guess thats now not an option. Fine, i shall stand, but i will not dance" he said, "And im not charming, im just your average run of the mill joker"

[Polaris Stormwrath]

Polaris looked to Maxi before smiling and taking his hand. "Sure thing." She said while getting up and following him. Passing Mark, she stuck her tongue out playfully. "So, Maxi was it?" Polaris asked curiously.

^{Arabella smiled and pulled him out to the dance floor, "Are you sure you don't want to dance?" she asked playing with his fingers before letting go of his hands, "It's not hard, I promise," she said with a grin. Arabella shrugged at his statement, "There's nothing wrong with being average either," she said.}

"See thats the spirit right there" he said to Mark as they passed him, "Yeah, Maxi" he smiled at her as he led her onto the floor. Maxi loved dancing it was one thing he was good at if nothing else, "Though it might be a good thing if Mark was to dance that the beat not be as fast, he'd fall over or something" Maxi laughed

[Polaris Stormwrath]

Polaris laughed softly, giving a nod as she began dancing to the music. "Don't want to have the Nurse called up here for an accident while dancing, now do we?" This was the first time Polaris had danced, to be honest. She didn't want anyone to know she was almost all talk, but this was only to cover her shyness. Polaris looked back to Ari and Mark, smiling while giving a soft giggle before turning back to Maxi. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Maxi."
