Polaris rolled her eyes at Briars actions. A bit too out there, this one is she thought. Giving a shake of the head, Polaris waved to Shay and Bradyn while smiling warmly. Taking a sip from the juice she had brought with her, she turned her head and looked into her glass, watching the juice swirl around. The party had died down and Polaris was relaxing at the bar while soft music played from the Juke box in the background.

Hearing a voice that seemed to be directed to him and Bray, Shay looked up, finding a girl standing in front of them. He grunted, hiding behind his hat again. "Yes. Get me out of here." He grumbled, taking another drink of his pumpkin juice. Another thing about parties was, that everyone was going to act loopy and whatnot, making the night last long with a ton of laughs. Sipping his pumpkin juice, and glanced at the girl again. She seemed to have moved to talk to Bray. A little smile lay on his face. This gave him an excuse to be quiet, and continue his party-sulking.
From the corner of his eye, Shay noticed someone waving at them. Turning, he saw Polaris. He gave a little smile and wave back, before turning back to his pumpkin juice and sulking. Though they only had been there for a few minutes, his head was already pounding. It was something about parties that made his head hurt, and hate them. Shay couldn't put a finger on it, but it just happened.

Polaris turned to inspect Briar, Shay and Bradyn from where she sat, feeling bad for the two boys. She wasn't much for parties, but this was relatively fun for the most part, minus the commotion. Giving a soft laugh, she realized how miserable Shay looked from under his little hat.
Pushing herself from the bar, she walked over to Briar, Shay and Bradyn. Now, she wasn't sure if this was a good idea or not, but she went for it. "Hey..you look absolutely miserable. Instead of standing around and sulking the whole night, why don't you two refill your pumpkin juices and come play cards with me. It's no fun anymore when Ari and Mark are off doing Thor knows what.." Polaris spoke almost shyly as she looked to the two boys with her head tilted to the side just slightly.

Bradyn sighed and shook his head. "Oh just shut up, Shay." He said and laughed a bit at Bri. Looks like she was going to enjoy the party, even if Shay wasn't going to. But something told him that someone at this party would make Shay happy.
"Hey," He said to Bri. "Finally got around to heading up here. Pretty good turn out so far." Bradyn glanced back at Shay, why did he bring him again? Bradyn turned a bit, but not to turn his back to Bri when Pol came up. He felt kind of bad that Bri wasn't invited, probably because he dancing made her look like a loon, but that's just how she is. "Hmm, cards. Wouldn't it bother you that I'd totally crush you, Pol?"

Briar looked at the Ravenclaw girl and raised an eyebrow, "Hello," she said putting on a friendly smile. "I'm Bry," She said holding out her hand. "You can steal the him," she said pointing at Shay, "I'd like to talk with Bradyn, if that's alright. We have to do some catching up," she said with a laugh, "But if you really want to go Bradyn... you can." she said to him.

She laughed at Bradyns comment. "No, I wouldn't mind, since I don't know how to play anyways." Turning to Bri, Polaris smiled before giving her a hug. "Sorry about that, you may join anytime you wish as well." Giving a light scratch just under the eyepatch covering her left eye as a sort of nervous habit, she honestly felt bad for not inviting her in the first place. Such a softie..

Briar laughed and hugged her back, "It's alright, I know that I give off a bad impression at first but it's who I am. I can't hide it," she said with a shrug. "What game do you have in mind? I'm not a big card player, I'd probably lose no matter what game we'd play," she said with a nervous laugh.

Hearing another voice near him, he looked up, seeing Polaris. "Hey." He said, attempting to put some life in his voice. It seemed nearly impossible, but he had. "Sure. Better then sitting here, I guess.." He mumbled, refiling his cup. "I'm not necessarily good, but why not." He added, attempting to put a little life in his voice again.
Shay grunted when Bray made a comment at him. "Why did you bring me again?" He asked, glaring at him slightly. Merlin. It felt like everything he did or said was a giant weight on him. He wanted to blast himself into the next country. Parties were just not one of his things.
Standing up, he sighed slightly, putting on a poker face. "What're we gonna play?" He asked, enthusiastically. They had a decent number of people to play, four seemed enough. Something in the back of his mind kept making him want to dash out the door any second, but some other part told him to stay. Blast his confusing mind.

Bray shrugged a bit. "We could play something easy, like go fish? I think most everyone over five knows how to play that." He glanced at Bry and hoped she would play too, instead of getting mad at Pol. Looked like that was the way she was leaning to but you can never be sure. He laughed a bit at Shay and snatched the hat right off his head. "I brought you because you're too anti-social, thought you could learn to mingle a little."

Polaris smiled widely as everyone got in the mood to play and brightened up a bit, if not faintly, including Shay. "Alright, let's see. What to play..." She said while peering around to the other three with a grin before reaching her hand out to take Shay's hat from Bradyn and place it on her own head, running a finger across the brim and giving a wink. "Name of the game is Go fish. Everyone know how to play?" She asked with a soft laugh.

Bry nodded. Sadly, GO FISH was a game her and Arabella used to play as children but now they couldn't even stand being in the same room together. Briar looked at Bradyn and smiled. She then looked at Shay who seemed miserable no matter how hard Polaris and Bradyn tried to get him to enjoy the party. She laughed seeing Shay's hat on the head of Pol.
Trying to be a little more in control of herself, Bry sat still and quiet as everyone got comfortable.

Go Fish was a simple game. Though, his older brothers always seemed to cheat when they three played. "Alright, I'm up for that." He said, putting on a slightly bigger smile now. Before he began sitting down, he felt his hat lift off his head. "Oy!" He shouted, attempting snatch it away, though Bray was doing a pretty good job of keeping it away. "I like being anti-social.." He grumbled, giving up, and sitting still in his chair now. Seeing a hand reach over, he looked up, noticing Pol was now wearing his hat. Shay grinned and smirked. Cracking his fingers, and grinned widely. "You're all going down." He said with a hint of evil laying on his face.

Polaris laughed softly while dealing the cards accordingly to each person. Quickly looking down to her own hand, she hid it from the others eyes while lowering the brim of Shay's hat to hide her expression. By now she was smiling like a goon and needed to hide it somehow. Giving a soft cough, Polaris pretended to stretch oh-so-non-chalantly while slowly peeking over at Shay's and Briar's card.

Bray grinned and laughed as Pol took the hat away from him to put on her own head. "Looks a lot better on you than it does on him." He said as he sat down by Shay and got comfortable. Bradyn leaned back in his seat on the couch? and laughed. "I'd like to see you try, and no cheating." He picked up his cards and smiled a bit. Bray sucked at poker faces.

Briar looked at Polaris and laughed. She brought her cards closer to her face, "No cheating!" she said and stuck out her tounge. Bry leaned over and tried to get a peek and Bradyn's cards but failed. She gave him an innocent smile as if saying she was up to no good.
She looked at Shay, "You seem to be enjoying yourself a little more," she said with a small laugh.
