Michael walked into his classroom that morning and had brewed up some potions for everyone to try. It wasnt a dangerous potion, nor anything that would change how they look. Though he would go into it in greater detail when the class arrived. He was going to let them all try it before trying to make them make it themselves. He assumed in a happier state they would have a better chance of making this rather complex potion. He just hoped everyone remembered their books, ingredients and of course, their cauldrons.

Ironic, how today of all days Erys felt rather giddy. She almost forgot it was potions, lucky enough to have her supplies nearby as she gathered them and walked off to class in a hurry. Confident she wasn't late, she strode into the Potions classroom, her cauldron dangling from her tightened palm. "Hello professor." The Slytherin greeted cheerfully with a flick of her other hand, gracefully approaching the desks to take a comfy spot in the back. As usual. Probably the only time in history she would be first in class, too.
Right right, back to the daily grind. Setting the black cauldron down in front of her, she dug out her ink jar, quill and parchment, waiting for more students to arrive. More keen on the ones from her house, though, but who didn't prefer them to the other houses? Any Hufflepuff would rather see a Hufflepuff than someone else, like a Slytherin, come in. Just for example. Dropping her bookbag on the floor, Erys tapped her fingers against the desk for a moment, patient and happy.
Crossing her arms on the desk, the animagus rested her chin on her hands, thinking about that certain person who was on her mind alot lately. Oh yes, she saw Ange checking him out a few days back. But since she hadn't told her friend her little secret, Erys wouldn't hold that against her.

Alexis probably thought she may as well join in the lessons while she was here rather than avoiding them like her dimwhitted brother. She had everything she needed she always checked to make sure she did, and she had heard rumours that the professor of Potions was particulary harsh on those who are late. As much as Alexis didnt mind a bit of trouble, she didnt exactly want to make an enemy of someone who had apparently, done some terrible things in his time, or so she had heard of her brother.
Walking into the classroom she was surprised to see only one face, belonging to a girl in her own house though not really recognising her. Though then again she didnt really pay much attention to anyone else. Sitting down at the back, not to far from the girl she set her things out and resting her head in her hand.

Sarie ran down the hall. She was so happy. It was the first class of Potions of the term. She opened the door. "Hello Professor what are we leaning today?" She asked as she sat down.
She looked looked around to see Erys Grace and another Slytherin. "Hey Erys, how was your summer?" She asked.

Michael watched as two girls entered the room, and could suppress the smile when he saw the familiar green and silver of their ties, and of course the Slytherin badge. Michael was extreamly biased towards those of the Slytherin house and much people did not like him for it.
Michael smiled at Erys, he had learned a lot of the students names now and slowly began to memorise them, "Morning Erys" he said with a smile. He was always cheerier to those of Slytherin than he was to the likes of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.
He gave the other girl, one he hadnt seen before a small smile. He also gave Sarie a small smile, for even though she was a Gryffindor, she had a small nack for potions. Turning behind him he took three vials and gave them to the girls. Each one was full of sunshine-yellow liquid. "I am going to let everyone that comes into the class drink that, and then you lot are going to try and brew it"

Joshua Rivas swaggered into the class, actually on time for once. Damn, that was rare. Professor Vance was at the head of the class, as usual, and he remembered with a smile the last time he had heard the man's commanding voice. It had actually been a mischeivous seventh year girl, but had scared him all the same.
"The party just arrived, don't stress people." Rivas said to the entire class, cockiness in his voice. "Drinking this stuff eh? Why not?" He took a vial, and without drinking he moved to the back of the class, slipping Erys a wink and sitting between her and another Ravenclaw girl. He dropped his stuff casually on the desk in front of him and waited for things to get going. He wasn't going to try the potion until someone else did first.

Sarie dank the vial. She knew the flavor from summer but she didn't know what it was. It left a strange taste on her tongue. She had to brew it.

V scratched her nose as she entered the potions blass, her green bookbang hanging from one arm, left untouched from when it had fallen from her shoulder on her way to class. She had been so distracted mentally lately, thoughts of Erys and Narcissus taing up about 75% of her brain. She had returned to sneaking out at night in her animagus form, laying by the lakeside in the exact spot she and Narcissus had kissed days before. It was all a surreal blurr.
Veata still hadn't mentioned the incident to Erys.
Silently she hoped her friend was in potions, crossing her fingers as she took them away from scratching the bridge of her nose, then looking up she saw her. And him. Instantly a new and fresh rush of anger and dissapointment flushed down through her body, and Veata, who usually sat at the back with Erys, turned away and stalked to a middle row. No, she would not sit next to that idiotic boy Erys was so head over heels for. V refused, refused, refused.

It was time for potions today. Well you couldn't have everything that you wanted she thought bitterly. She was in one of her moods that day, she wasn't sure why, but she never was most of the time. She had to gather all the stuff for class, and wasn't in the mood to carry it all. How she wished one of the families house elves was here to take it down for her. That was definitely one of the creature comforts she missed being here at school. Figuring she'd talk to her parents at some point about sending her one for the remainder of her time here she felt a bit better.
She took her time, not in the mood to rush and she people watched while she made her way there. Rolling her eyes at the nasty little Gryffindor's standing there thinking they were so cool, hissing at the Ravenclaws who thought they were all so smart, and looking sadly at the Hufflepuffs who were, well who probably wouldn't amount to much once leaving the school. She was having so much fun that she almost forgot what she was doing or where she was going. Missing the door she had to walk back.
She came in a few minutes after Joshua, and immediately spotted him sitting next to Erys. Smiling she headed in the same direction. Erys was always fun to be around and Angel needed some fun if she was going to get through that class. Taking the seat and putting all her things down she turned to her friend.
'So what kind of trouble are we going to get into today. Hi there Joshua.'

Maria stepped into the potions classroom and looked around. Yet again, she had entered a class with barely anyone she actually spoke to. Then her eyes fell on Veata and she realized that Veata wasn't in her usual spot in the back of the class with her Slytherin friends. Maria walked over and sat down, silently, in a desk beside Veata.
Looking over at Veata, she could see obvious anger on the girl's face. She was curious as to what had made Veata angry, assuming of course that it had something to do with why she was in the middle of the room instead of the back with her usual friends. However, Maria did not feel like bothering Veata with her curiousity. She would just let the girl be since Veata didn't really seem like the type to talk about her feelings.

Joshua felt a veritable cold as the strange Slytherin girl seemed to glare at him. She walked away and faced away from them. What's her problem? He thought, then realised he didn't care. Whoever she was, she could keep to herself, no loss to him.
"Hey Angelique. I don't know about what you're doing, but I'm watching to see what's going to happen to little Sarie Thimble. I'm putting a few galleons her arms are gonna fall off." Joshua said, flashing her a smile. The two weren't exactly close, they talked occasionally. She seemed nice enough, and she was Erys' friend so she had to be alright. "Either that or her nose is going to explode."

Sarie sat on the edge of her seat. She was in a room full Slytherins and she was youngest. She bit her lip. She remembered Joshua Rivas she met him in the forest last year. "Umm." She blushed. "Didn't we meet in the forest last year?" She asked him. "Your name is Joshua Rivas right?"

"It was good.. Yours?" Surprised the Gryffindor was even speaking to her over the prejudice that haunted pretty much everybody not in Slytherin, Erys blinked suddenly, hm'ing to herself and basically drifting away again.
Distracted by thoughts of him, Erys hadn't realised Joshua was there until he addressed the rest of the class. Something about a party? "Hey, party animal." She grinned, accepting the small vial and beginning her inspection of it. She concluded the liquid inside was safe, pretty, and goldish. And they were going to drink it? Nodding her head in thanks to the professor (whom was one of her favorites, which the bias had a teensy part of) the Slytherin tapped her finger gently against the side of the glass, still watching it when Veata came in. The look she gave her was cold, really cold. Something a woman would give to her friend if her friend just killed her son. Completely un-called for, Erys didn't murder anybody.
Then she remembered V's reaction back in the common room a few nights ago, and everything became clear. She was mad at Erys because of Joshua. Narrowing her emerald green eyes now, she scowled in silence, fuming and exhasperated. "Yeah, hey Ange." She murmured quickly, flashing a small smile at the girl before staring confusedly back at her best friend. Tearing her gaze away from the redhead, she bit her lip, remembering Ange had asked a question. "Oh, trouble. Nothing too severe, I like this professor." Smiling politely, she leaned against Joshua, occationally looking back at V. The silence between them was unsettling.. It burned her.

Trying to busy herself with studying the strange concoction the professor had brewing at the front of the room, V did her best to ignore the fact that her fellow Slytherins were at the back of the room. She glanced back once, noting that Angelique from Defense Against the Dark Arts was sitting with the two other Slytherins. Not really that surprising, Erys was really popular. Tightening her jaw, Veata turned to face forward again, her anger returning to replace the empty feeling that had started to form in her gut. She probably won't even notice I'm not sitting with her, V thought, and I suppose that's just as well.
When the class bench squeaked in protest at the new arrival, V glimpsed the bumblebee look of the Hufflepuff robes before she registered the face. Her lips beginning to curl into a sneer, she prepared to tell the unfortunate Hufflepuffer who chose to sit beside her to back the hell off, but her mouth became still instantly. Moving over to make more room for Maria, Veata cleared her throat, as if to say 'that's the best hello you're getting'. Maria was wise to stay quiet, V really wasn't in the mood for chatter, whether from her friend or not.

"Hey, thanks for that. You know, I really try but sometimes people just don't recognize my party-animalness." Joshua joked, only a little surprised when she leaned against him.
Joshua was surprised when the girl turned around and addressed him. He had to give it to her, the little one had guts. For that reason alone he decided he'd talk.
"Uh, yeah. I think we met, what were you doing in the Forest? Don't you know it's kinda Forbidden?" He said with a smile, only messing with her a little. He looked around and realised there was a dominance of Slytherins in the class. "So kiddo, didn't anyone tell you Slytherin's are baddies? You're not supposed to talk to us, we bite." Joshua grinned, having fun with her. Certainly was a Gryffindor, though.
