Laura had found her Charms class empty and a note upon the door. An interesting lesson it was certain to be when they were on the roof tops of the castle. She made her way towards the Astronomy tower, in the same direction it seemed as many other students. But they all got there before her because they're legs were longer then hers. She didn't mind falling behind but it did mean she was late for the lesson. When she finally arrived, Laura shone a smile at all the people present, especially all the Ravenclaws, and spotted the professor.
Prof Hubbles was one of the teachers the twins always warned Laura about. Vicious temper, nasty to all nice people, and a first year eater, among other things, is what they told her he was. From where Laura stood, he did look capable of eating small children but she had speed on her side and a quick mind to get away if it came to it. And he looked very comfortable so if Laura just hovered behind all the other students she would be fine. She followed the lot and stood behind a tall Slytherin with dark hair who began talking to another Slytherin boy.
Laura smiled as she heard their assignment. 'Definitely an interesting lesson,' she said softly to herself as she tried to see around the people in front of her. Giving up on seeing any more of the professor, Laura smiled at the two Slytherins in front of her. 'Sounds interesting, doesn't it?' she asked the two. She swayed from side to side, smiling at the two older students, like her brother's had taught her to do.

Lexi watched as the first year made her way onto the roof. She was so small, and looked so familiar. Lexi wasn't sure what her name was yet though. She had been a bit preoccupied the last few days and hadn't noted it. Sitting near Sarie waiting for the class to finally start she watched as the younger year made her way around.
She seemed nice enough very polite saying her hello's and smiling at people. When she noticed her stop by some of they Slytherins Lexi raised an eyebrow. Slytherins were also so hard to get a read on but she knew about the two girls that were sitting there, they didn't have the best reputation for being too nice. Hoping they wouldn't do anything mean Lexi looked on. She also tried to grab the girls attention away so that she might come sit with them even be apart of the team.

Pixle had remained somberly silent, tucked away at the back of the group until she noticed a, surprisingly, younger Ravenclaw join the ranks of students. She made her way forward to stand beside the girl, "Hey," she said, smiling brightly at the swaying young lady. "Just a preemptive warning, you might not want to bother them..." she nodded at the two older students. "It certainly does sound like a fascinating lesson though..." she drifted off dreamily, imagining the possibilities of the Professors vague instructions. An assault course, testing skill, teamwork, and knowledge. Will there be any dragons involved? she pondered to herself Probably not, though it certainly would be amusing. Dragons on the roof... that has the potential to be a lovely poem... she smiled vaguely at her own thoughts, before remembering where she was and what she was doing "I'm Pixle," she introduced herself to the girl. "You look shockingly familiar, have we met before?" she asked curiously. She never had been good with remembering names and faces...

Before either of the older people Laura had just spoken to could answer another student approached her. Laura grinned at her, her brow pinched between the eye brows in a frown. She had no idea what the Ravenclaw was going on about but it was nice being talked to so Laura turned to her. To her houses didn't mean much, only a secret place to hid and a bed and one of four lovely colours. She particularly like the green and silver combination: her brothers had always looked best in green. So Laura smiled up at the two then turned back to her fellow Claw.
'Hi,' she said to the greeting she got. Laura always paid particularly close attention to any advise she could get from older people, they always had the best advise, especially Derryl. So when a warning came to her, Laura listened closely and looked at the two older students when she did. Laura shrugged. The topic changed and Laura's face lit up. 'Yes, it does,' she said excitedly, 'I wonder if we will have to battle any creatures or stuff like that.' Suddenly her face fell. 'On second thoughts, no, I don't think I could harm an animal, even if it wanted to eat me.'
'Hello Pixle,' Laura said after a moment's daydreaming about having to battle Doxys and Crups. Laura was certain she wouldn't be able to do anything against the cuteness of Crups as they so closely resembled her own dog. Once again, Laura frowned. 'I ... don't think we've met before,' she said thoughtfully. Her mind began to wonder to all the people she had met since her arrival and would have remembered if they had met before. 'Maybe you know my brothers? I'm Laura, Laura Parkhurst.' Laura held out her small hand for Pixle to shake and smiled.

Ashton climbed up onto the roof of the castle, he had seen the note and had run all the way to the astronomy tower. Looking around, he saw a large number of people. Including some fellow Ravenclaws, waving to them, Ashton made his way towards the group so that he could hear what was going on.

Dan did not return to his book, instead he took to writing down the names of everyone who was in the class adding more every time more people came along. When his sister final decided to join them Dan gave Girty a small salute and grinned happily at her being thankful that the Hufflepuff’s were no longer out numbered by the other houses. Once he had scribbled down al the names in barley legible hand writing Dan started to tear up the parchment into to strips and placing them in an empty bowl that was by him.
Carefully Dan shook the bowl around, the slips of parchment flew around inside, some nearly made escape bids over the side but Dan quickly put them back in. For some reason his heart rate had quicken, he was finding this strangely fun.
With a small glance at everyone who was on the roof top he gave a rather loud and exaggerated cough to get everyone’s attention. Slowly the faces turned to face him Dan gave them all a small wave and held up the bowl so that everyone could see it.
“Oh guys listen up. Once I have called your name out go and stand in your teams. So I want Team 1 on the left side of the roof and Team 2 on the right. Once you are in those teams you can not change them, it is only for a while so live with it please people.”
He gave a glance over at the Slytherin’s at this point feeling particularly aware that they were the ones most likely to complain if they were not drawn together. Lowering the bowl and one last look at every Dan closed his eyes and started to pulled the first name out of the bowl.
OOC: So me being sad I pulled the names out of the hat so here it goes! Theywere pulled out for Team 1 then Team 2 then Team 1 and so on. So here are the teams and in order they came out it!

It was hard to keep track of where everything was in that school. Things changed around so many times, it was frustrating but Ken didn't let it get to her. After seeing the note on the board that charms class was being held up on the roof she tried to find the tower and the trap door but seemed to get even more lost the longer she looked. The thought of giving up had reared its way into her head more than once but she just couldn't bring herself to give up.
Finally, one of the portraits she was standing near saw how distressed she was and offered her help, after explaining the situation the lady in the taffeta gown told her just where to go. So running she found it easily this time and ran up the stairs not sparing a second to catch her breath. Throwing open the trapdoor she tried to stand straight but couldn't due to a stitch in her side from all that running.
Trying to catch her breath and looking all around she noted that class seemed to be getting started. So after all of that she was late now too. It didn't make her very happy. When she was finally able to breathe again she made her way to the professor.
'I'm so sorry, I just had a bit of trouble getting up here. It won't happen again sir. So what is it we're doing today?'
She said this all very fast and hoped he was able to understand.

((Hi! Hi! This lesson sounds like fun so put my name on the list too!))
Jac, as always, had gotten lost on her way to the Astronomy Tower. Never, in her seven years of attending Hogwarts had she managed to get to the Astronomy Tower except from the Gryffindor common room. This day was no different and after taking the very scenic route to the Astronomy tower Jac arrived just in time to hear Prof Hubbles calling out names from pieces off parchment. Jac, panting heavily, quickly straightened herself and took a few calming breaths.
She walked through the crowd and towards Hubbles. She spotted Girty and shot her a smile and she saw Sarie and gave her a wink. She pushed past the last few people crowing around and stood next to Dan's chair. She smiled at him and his peculiar ways adding to herself that it was very peculiar to have a deck chair and no shirt during a lesson. "Hey, Prof," she said, "Sorry I'm late. Where shall I go?" she asked with a friendly grin. It was great knowing your teachers, even as impersonally as Jac knew Hubbles.

Upon hearing the announcement of the teams Angel was not happy. Granted Joshua was on her team but Erys was not. She was the fun one and Angel needed that. Plus she hated being stuck on the team with most of the others. Only consolation was that maybe she'd get to do something dreadful to that little Sarie. That might make her feel a bit better, and with that she grinned wickedly.
Watching as a couple of more stragglers walked in a bit on the late side, she wondered who's teams they might be on. Maybe she could get herself a new target.

Ashton heard his name called for Team Two and made his way to the right side of the roof, smiling at Sarie as he passed her. Once he was where he needed to be, he waited quietly for further instructions.

Sarie waved at Jac and smiled at Ashton. She wanted this to start. She had a bunch of enegry and nothing to do with it. She was worried what happened if she made her team lose.

Maria sighed as she stood and walked to the left side of the roof. Sure enough, she was in a group with people she didn't really know. Teamwork was much more difficult when the people you had to work with weren't friends, but there was nothing she could do but try.
She stood quietly waiting for Professor Hubbles to tell them what to do next. She looked around at the people who were also on team one as she waited.

Dan looked around as even more late comer turned up, he rolled his eyes and did the normal tutting noises but he was only putting them on as the people who had turned up he could never be angry at. A Hufflepuff would very rarely be shouted at by Dan and Jac was a good friend so he would not do anything other in that case. So he wrote their names down and rather oddly closed his eyes and pulled their two names out of the bowl first for group two then group one.
It was then Dan heard Sarie ask a rather unimportant question. Sitting up in his chair once again Dan stroked his stubble and thought long and Hard about it. He had not really given it two second thought, but now someone had brought it up it seemed like a dam good idea and would make things that little bit more challenging.
“Rules yes….well the ‘Accio’ spell is forbidden. If I catch anyone using it at any point then it will be 10 points off their house, the same goes for dark magic but I guess you know that.” Dan gave a soft chuckle as he looked around at the rather unimpressed looks from the class. “Right erm…o yes for all you out there who have ‘special’ abilities please do not use them. That goes for you as well Jac, do not turn your hair green to scare the dragon.”
He gave her a wink and for the first time this lesson stood up and looked out over the roofs of Hogwarts. He did not really have anything else to say. He doubt any of them were actually paying attention to him and if they were they would not care what he said and would do what ever they wanted. So with a deep breath Dan spun on the spot to face the class once again and clapped his hands together excitedly.
“Right then, lets begin.”
OOC: Ok to stop everything getting confusing I am going to set up two more threads…one for each team! I will post back occasionally either as warnings or creatures/objects you will bump into along the way!
Luckily both my characters are in different teams so if you guys get stuck or the thread peters out slightly I will bring them into action to get it going again!
You may look at the others teams threads, but please do not post in them….and you can copy other peoples ideas but who says it will be the same for both teams??
You can post back in this thread at anytime so if you want to shout abuse at the other team across the roofs then feel free…do what you want this is your lesson as much as mine!
So the main thing is to enjoy!
