Ashton shrugged. "Not much. Read. Write. Sing." He gave a small laugh. "Sleep." Ashton pushed raven-black hair out of his face to reveal sapphire-blue eyes subtley lined in grey eyeliner. "And I like to hang out with friends. Or just talk to my owl Aphrodite. Yes, I talk to my owl!"

"Wonderful turn out!" Allion said brightly, glancing at each student as they entered his room. "And yes, the lesson today is indeed Crystal balls."
Picking up a crystal ball from one of his shelves, he glanced at it for a minute before raising a brow and sweeping his gaze across the room. "As you can see, the desks have disappeared for this lesson--" As he began to talk, the yellow chalk from before began to glide through the air, landing on the floor with a soft clatter. Unnoticeable, it began to draw an enormous circle, surrounding the students inside.
"Now, if you could please take a seat around the circle? Quickly now!" Allion looked excited, his far-out gaze taking on a clearer look as he smiled at his students. "Before the spell is activated." He added vaguely in explanation.
When his students had finally taken place around the circle, he walked up to them and pointed his wand right at the center.
Immediately, a misty fog began to apparate in front of them. It expanded in the circle, before taking on an orb-like structure.
And then, when the mist finally subsided, there was an abstract -- very large -- crystal ball in the middle of all of them.
"Except, I find those small things..." Allion gestured to the crystal ball he was holding moments before, "To be quite a bore."

Charlotte wasn’t too sure if this was the right class. The schedule had said to go here, but there seemed to be a numerous amount of older students. She let herself quietly pace into the room, trying o appear invisible, she was small enough, and if the people didn’t look at her, they might think she was a very short 4th year, instead of a very short 1st year.
She sat down near to where the professor was, keeping her face pointed to her lap. She wanted desperately too look around and meet the new classmates, but seeing as they were all about four or five years older then her, she remained silent. She was probably in the wrong class, and if so, she did not want to get caught.
She heard a soft chalky noise after a moment, and looked up to see a thin piece of chalk enclosing the circle, and caught the last bits of spell from the teacher’s speech. Well she was stuck here now, wrong class or not. She looked up relaxing a bit, they couldn’t get rid of her now, so she might as well enjoy the class.

Olivia closed her book, and went to go sit in the circle. I guess sleeping through the lesson was out of the question today.
Olivia wasn't very comfortable with the fog that surrounded the class. What if something grabbed her, and dragged her away. No one in the class knew her, and therefore they would never know the Miss Olivia Belmont had disappeared into the fog.
The fog seemed to all float toward on place, and soon a rather large crystal ball was sitting in the middle of the circle. Olivia had never seen such a large crystal ball before. She was used to the little dinky ones that you can never tell a bird from a bear in. She wondered if Professor Vickers was very blind and thats why he need such a big ball, kind of like a large printed book for divination.

Ashton heard the sound of the door opening then closing, and looked up to see a rather small girl sitting beside Professor Vickers. She looked like she might be a first year which was rather odd since the class mostly consisted of students in fifth year and above. Catching the girls eye he gave her friendly smile and beckoned for her to come sit by him.

As the chalk shot from Professor Vickers's hand and began to scrap wildly about the floor, drawing out a huge circle with oddly complicated runes inscribe loosely around the inside, and along lines zigzagging from one side of the circle to the other. Shabnam had only just walked into the room - having been punching out the thick, headache-inducing lenses of a pair of lost half-moon spectacles she had found - but right away she had to shuffle back a step as the chalk crashed into the side of her foot, trembling weakly as it tried to carry on drawing over her foot.
'That's cute.' She laughed, smiling as she watched it carry on and finally complete it's work, the end of it snapping under the pressure. 'You're a good artist.' She said to it as it flew back into the professor's pocket, although it looked at though she were literally talking to Professor Vickers's leg.
Quickly pulling a chair from behind her, Shabnam sat down, her eyes instantly becoming wide and cloudy as she watched the pale fog form into an orb in the centre of the circle. Shabnam wasn't entirely sure if anyone else could see it, but as the mist swirled - it's mass shifting and changing shape - it was as if were a veil, working to cover a small orb of dim light at the centre of it, although it was barely visible more than twice.
There was a sharp crackling noise, like broken glass being stepped on, and suddenly a perfect, gleaming crystal ball had replaced the fog, almost as if the mist had hardened. 'That's so ace.' She complimented the professor, pushing the glasses up her nose. 'Does anyone else smell burning?' She asked as an afterthought.

Narcissa had taken a seat next to her sister on the ground. She stared into the large crystal ball, and looked over at Bella. It was not Narcissa's idea to take this class, it was her sisters. She hoped it wouldn't turn out to be a complete bore, and they would get to do something interesting.

Girty had slipped into the classroom and managed to find a seat in the circle before all the chairs had vanished. With a quick look around she noticed she was sitting next to Shabnam and gave her a quick smile before focusing on what was happening in the middle of the circle. The fog was rather overpowering and when the orb appeared in the middle Girty gave a small round of applause. There were certain aspects of magic that still got her excited. As Girty waited for the professor to continue she could not help but agree with Shabnam, there was a burning smell in the room. Sniffing in the fumes a few times Girty leaned closer to her fellow Hufflepuff whispered to her, not truly caring if anyone else could hear.
“I bet the heat from the orb is burning the makeup off the faces of those Slytherin’s. What we are smelling is years worth of make up burning away.”
With a small giggle Girty sat back straight in her chair, unable to look at the Slytherin’s with out laughing. They had got on her nervous in to many lessons and she was not going to let them get to her, she would make them have a taste of their own medicine. After all Girty was a Hubbles!

Sophie entered the classroom just a little dubiously, she hadn't finished the professor's homework and was feeling particularly guilty about it, somehow she just hadn't found the time in between her DADA work and, well gossiping with Jac most of the night, though it had been brill she know quite regretted it and hoped the kind professor wouldn't notice or remark upon her nervousness. If she just acted as normal she would be fine, and she'd heard tell that others had handed in work late and gotten away with it, she truly was sorry and she believed that would show up; if he even noticed. Maybe she was fretting about nothing.
The door squealed shockingly upon its old hinges making Sophie jump involuntarily, yet she hadn't let out a little scream of shock with she was thankful for. Taking a deep, calming breath she strode purposefully into the room determined to have a good lesson, and hopefully answer any questions she was capable of; only Divination really wasn't her strong point.
Her mood was immediately lightened upon seeing a familiar face; "Shabs!" She exclaimed happily dashing to sit beside her. Eagerly pulling up a chair she asked "How are you? Where've you been? Not hiding with your animals all this time surely? The library has been oddly quiet without you, but that could be because of the new regulations. Anyway what's been happening?" She asked in a hushed whisper.

Allion leaned toward the crystal ball, his eyebrow arched neatly before he smirked. The class seemed to be confused as to why such a large object was needed, rather than their own individual orbs, and almost seemed afraid to touch it.
In an anticlimactic way, he stepped over the circle drawn and leaned on it comfortably, winking at the First Year who was now seated in front of him.
"Needless to say, today you will be looking beyond the fog to try and decipher any possible message..." His voice faltered as he walked alongside the orb, around the circle and paused in front of Shabnam.
There was a long silence, his glazed eyes meeting hers rather curiously. Most expected Allion to say something extremely interesting after his moment of thought, but instead he smiled brilliantly and moved on.
"Though, if you see nothing but fog, don't hesitate to say so. In fact--" Turning around, he stared at the orb, placing a gentle palm on the glass-like exterior. "My first time looking into a Crystal Ball, I saw nothing at all and made up a heinous lie of there being a huge snowfall in the middle of July."
Of course, Allion failed to mention that a strange snowfall had, indeed, happened that night.
The candles around the room began to flicker out, and the room was enveloped in complete darkness for a split second, before the Crystal ball took on an eerie glow. "However, when looking within the fog, if you do see a symbol of some sort, keep in mind it is not your own. Since all of us are looking into the same Crystall Ball, you are actually going to see Divinations belonging to your classmates."
Finally stepping out of the circle and standing behind the Black Sisters, Allion raised his wand and trailed his gaze over the students.
"Right then!" He exclaimed, his bright voice out of place in the dim classroom. "Who would like to go first?"

Girty gave a nervous laugh as the professor explained what he wanted the class to do. Girty never boosted to have the inner eye, nor was she convinced she actually possessed it. However after glancing around the room and noticing the everyone else seemed to be as silent and mystified as she was Girty took a deep breath and raised her hand in the air. She did not know why she was doing this. In all her years at Hogwarts she had never seen anything in the crystal balls and she knew that one ten times the size would be no different.
“I will do it Professor.”
She mumbled as she slowly lowered her hand. She needed to concentrate, try and see past the fog, look deep into the crystal ball, free her mind of many thoughts. With a deep breath Girty tried to free her mind of all thought. After a few seconds of seeing into the crystal ball she thought she noticed the fog got a bit less and transparent. She was getting nowhere, maybe it was just going to be foggy tonight.
With a sigh Girty decided to save her embarrassment and give up. She moved slouched in her chair and looked up at the professor with an apologetic smile. She knew she needed to be more determined, and she also had the penitents to take a dull task through to the end but a nagging feeling in the back of her mind kept telling her it was pointless.

Olivia sunk down in her chair. She knew she wouldn't be able to see anything. She was never able to see anything, she did not have the gift of sight!
Thankfully Girty took the first blow. Olivia smiled at the fellow Quiditch team mate. She hoped she would see such a miraculous sight that Professor Vickers would end the lesson there. However, Olivia had never been so lucky.
As Girty sat down defeated, Olivia sank into her chair again. I am the chair, I am the floor, I am the walls. Olivia rang in her head, as if thinking that she was an inanimate object would make her turn into one. She wouldn't mind being a wall, not a chair though, she wouldn't like people sitting on her all day.

Shabnam grinned brightly as Girty and Soph materialised out of nowhere, the dimness of the room having disguised their prescence for a moment. Soph, as always, enthusiastically greeted Shabnam with her favourite nickname and immediately enveloped her in a tidal wave of questions, all of them primarily of the gossiping kind. 'Chalk drew on my foot.' She answered, although she was unable to say anything else before Profressor Vickers stepped up. She blocked Soph out of her mind and focused entirely on the freshly solid orb and the professor, his voice strangely clear even though he spoke quietly.
Their gaze met suddenly and he faultered. Shabnam returned the intense stare, although her own was more that of a vacant one rather than an intruiged one, and she titled her head to one side as if it might help her discipher his meaning.
As quickly as he had looked at her, he stopped - and he was back to the orb within a moment, describing what everyone was likely to see or experience as if he had never broken his sentence. He asked for the first volunteer to see if they could picutre anything in the fog, and for a long time everyone was silent, glancing at one another, exchanging messages of relluctance with their eyes.
Shabnam herself was sitting very still and staring at the glowing orb, realising after a couple of moments that she hadn't blinked since Professor Vickers had looked at her. The moment she closed her aching eyes tightly Girty spoke out, offering to go first. Opening one eye a little Shabnam watched her stand up and walk up to the orb, her gestures awkward and full of unknowing. 'Just think about someone else.' She suggested in a small whisper, although she didn't quite understand the advice herself.
