Dr Bunchington was enjoying his afternoon's tasks; he had already sorted all the books in the forbiden section and fortified the hexes protecting the books from moths and curious first years and now he was dusting and rearanging the 'Modern History' section of the library. He had just run his feather duster over one his all time favourites when he felt a sudden tightening in his chest. He fell to the floor, barely able to move. Frantically he grasped at his flask in his jacket pocket. He managed, between shakes, to unscrew the cap and pour a drop of the silver liquid in his mouth. He swollowed and gasped with joy. The attacks were getting more frequent. Munchy would have to up his dose.

Grace was looking in an Ancient Runes book when she found graffiti in it saying some unrepeatable things about herself. She was furiated. She sprung up to go inform the librarian when she saw him on the floor. "Oh my! Dr Munchy!" she whispered a cry, "what's wrong? What's happened?" She said kneeling next to him, placing the book aside. "Is there something I can do?"

"No, child, get away from me! I'm fine!" Dr Bunchington was not pleased, he had rather had his attack else where, but then again sneaking dark wizzards can't be choosers. Munchy gathered himself together and stood up. "I'm sorry Ms Marks, just a spot of bother, its my heart you see." Munchy lied.

"Oh," Grace looked down-cased, "your heart, I see!" She had had lots of experience with heart problems with her father. She picked up her book and got back to what her original quest was. "Sir, someone wrote in this book! What's the removal spell?" Her face turned solemn and grave.

"I think that for that liguistica tergeo would be the best." Munchy explained. "However if said wrong you could erase the whole book. stress the 'gui' of linugistica and you'll be fine."

Grace looked at Munchy then at the book, "Alright!" She pulled out her wand and cleared her throat. "Liguistica tergeo," she said. The words written on the books delicate pages disolved into nothingness. She was relived to see that the words of the book were still there. She looked up from the book and smiled at Munchy, "thank you!" She put her wand back into its satchel.

"Its quite alright Ms Marks, you know its a shame your not in my old house. Slytherin could make a lot from a girl like you." Munchy smiled. "But of course like every student before you you're loyal to your house."

"Certainly am, sir," Grace said smiling at the tall man. "Though I don't think I'm, what's the word? Cunning enough to be in Slytherin ... you're house was slytherin, wasn't it?"

"Yes it was my dear." Munchy, in order to bring himself to Grace's level, squatted. He still was roughly 6 foot but it beat the 8 foot he was used too. "At different points in time, i've been a prefect, a head boy, a head of house and once a long time ago i was headmaster, for all of one week. But thoughout all of that the thing that has mattered the most to me was the fact that i was Slytherin."

Grace looked doe eyed at the librarian and smile. "Well one does become rather attatched to ones house. I can't see myself anywhere else but Hufflepuff, sir."

Grace smiled up at Munchy. "That's the goal," Grace said. "We're practicing hard, well, trying to anyway."

"My advice to you is not to practice too hard: Sometimes thinking about something and trying to improve it can just make it worse or make you loose sight of what you were trying to do." Munchy imparted his wisdom like the old man he truely was, thinking of the times he was clouded by his own ambitions, the horrible things he had done in the name of progress.

Grace smiled. Dr Bunchington gave the impression of being a wrinkly old grumpy man but Grace was finding that she could always count on him to share his advice, and thought that she would always find that with him. She nodded and smiled, "you're right. Thank you for sharing that wisdom with me," she mumbled the last few words. How cheesy can you sound, Gracie! she thought, her smile fading as her avoided his eyes.

"Oh my. Thats lovely. Not many people think of me as wise. I just wish people would remember who i once was. Even the headmistress is forgetting all i've done for her and for the ministry during the past however many hundreds of years." Munchy bit his lip he'd said too much.
