"Hey Jac you thrusty?" Sarie said. Waving a butterbeer. "I stole it for you." She called.

No one seemed to worried about her not having eaten or drunk anything since she arrived. Jac, on the other hand, cared about nothing else. She wanted to eat and drink and that was a fact that fire could not burn out of her. She clapped her hands to either side of her on the couch and pushed herself up. She grinned at Drake and was about to ask if her cared to join her in getting something to drink but her name being called again pulled her attention elsewhere.
Sarie was waving a butterbeer at her and Jac called to her, "bless Merlin's pants." She waved for Sarie to join her by the couch but her attention was once again dragged somewhere else. Poppy seemed to have just arrived as Jac had and was looking beautiful in her dress. She grinned at and held out her arms as the small girl jumped into a hug. Jac caught her and swung her around, her strength a by-product of being a Beater. She giggled and squeezed Poppy before putting her down on the ground.
She grinned at the girl, before properly inspecting the dress. "You look stunning, Poppy," Jac said and took a step back to get a better look. She stepped back and bumped the couch, losing her balance, and fell into a sitting position on the couch she had just stood up from. Jac giggled again. "I meant to do that," she giggled to everyone around her who had begun laughing at her blunder. Turning back to Poppy, she asked, "where ever did you get the dress?"

Sarie giggled at Jac. THen handed her the butterbeer. "Here you go." Maybe you should drink something first.

Ginny had been down by the lake reading. Some of the times she was so worried about other things she didn't even feel like she was part of the school anymore. She hadn't planned on going up to the common room anytime soon until a Gryffindor saw her and informed her that Jac had been made Gryffindor champ in the Quadwizard Tournament. Seeing as how Jac had always been so nice to her Ginny felt that it was only right to go and celebrate with her new friend. Thanking the messenger she got up and made her way back into the castle.
When she made her way into the commom room there was a party in full swing even though she didn't think it was going to it actually bettered her mood. Seeking out Jac she saw her talking to Saire and Poppy two younger years that they had eaten with before. Making her way over she placed herself in front of Jac and with the happiest of smiles she said, ''I just heard congrats I'm so happy for you. You truly deserve it Jac."

Ian, in his excitement, had joined the echoed chanting, waving a streamer back in forth in his hand. "Jac! Jac! Jac! Jac! Jac?"
Having been immersed in the celebration, he didn't notice Drake barrel into the Gryffindor, carrying her away. Blinking, he stood at the spot she'd previously been in, before a tug at his hand caught his attention. Sarie, being small and agile, easily swept past him and stole his butterbeer. Letting out a surprised laugh, he went to follow her and found her thrusting it into Jac's hand. Hearing the word "Dress" and seeing her new company - which were a cluster of girls - he turned away with a grimace.
Then, lazily, he sat on the couch the champ was at and leaned back on his hands. Turning to his left, he saw Basil and nudged him. "Sure you don't want to hand that over to me?" He gestured to the bottle with a mischievous smile. "You look a bit tipsy there."

"Thanks," said Jac to Sarie as the small girl put a pitcher in her hand. Jac took a long draught and grinned as she lowered the cup. Ginny was now standing in front of her. "Ginny!" Jac said, excitedly. She was so happy that Ginny was there. During recent times, Jac and Ginny seemed to have been spending a lot of time together and Jac loved it. Ginny was so easy to be around.
Jac threw her arms around Ginny and gave her a back-crunching hug, spilling some of her drink on a third year standing behind Ginny. Jac let Ginny go and giggled at the third year. "I am so sorry," she said with another giggle. She heard Ian's voice behind her and turned to him. "You've been scarce these days," she said as she fell onto the couch next to him. "You can't tell me you're worrying about our N.E.W.T.'s. No school talk!" She said the last as more of a shout to the whole common room. She didn't want anything to dampen the excited mood. She took another sip of her butterbeer and grinned at all her friends around her.

Chattering excitedly with Eli for a time Sophie smirked happily as so many Gryffindors very enthusiastically congratulated Jac. As Jac received bone crushing hug after bone crushing hug, Sophie rolled her eyes; rather her than me, she thought happily knowing Jac was by far the most deserved Champion, though opposition would doubtless be tough Sophie had complete confidence in their champion of champions. Having allowed Elijah to explain the technicalities of the watch; well as much as they knew of it. She'd hurriedly taken a seat; knowing they would soon become scarce, she really didn't fancy sitting on anybody's lap, and female intuition wasn't required to see the way Ian was grimacing as girls clustered about. Grinning delightedly just to embarrass Ian further she gave him a kiss upon the cheek as a greeting when he sat down nonchalently to her left.
Laughing in clear amusement Sophie shook her head at him, "ah Ian why so uncomfortable?" She jested with a fleeting grin she sprang up as Jac turned to face him, "I'll get you something to eat Jac," she suggested helpfully "you look quite pale," she joked as Jac's cheeks burned with the excitement of the moment. A buffet had been set up either side of the portrait entrance, and as Sophie waited patiently in the queue for few moments she sighed happily, piling Jac's plate high and returning quickly.
"There you go Missy, we can't have our champ faint from lack of food now can we?"

Ian cheered with the rest of the students when Jac mentioned no schoolwork. His voice was perhaps the loudest, which made a few Gryffindors next to him snicker.
It was then he felt something soft against his cheek, and turned to Sophie with the tips of his ears slightly red. "Nice to see you too," he said with a grin, leaning an elbow on her shoulder. "And if you want to see uncomfortable..." He gestured to Basil with his thumb, smirking.
Moments later, Sophie left to gather Jac food - he suspected her nerves had kept her from eating previously at dinner - and he had a clear view of her outfit. With a good-natured laugh, he reached over and pulled the crown off her head, noticing the gold ribbon in her hair.
With a thoughtful "Hmm," he grabbed a red one off the back of the couch and tied it next to the other in her hair. They twisted a bit messily - displaying his less than perfect artistic skills - and Ian smiled crookedly before placing the crown back on her head.
When Sophie reappeared with a tower of food, he made space for her again. "I was nervous at dinner too," he said dramatically, the corner of his lip tilting upwards as he reached over Sophie's torso to Jac's plate and stole a forkful. "And as for being scarce, I've been practicing Quidditch. Can't have you two constantly showing me up." He added with a wink.

Sophie, Jac soon noticed, was dashing off to get her some food. Jac grinned and leaned back in her seat, linking her fingers behind her head. "I could get used to this," she said with a joking laugh. She knocked her crown and it fell forwards on her head, landing on the bridge of her nose. Jac squinted at it and was about to straighten it ... again when Ian took it off.
She frowned at him and said childishly, "hands off, mate, crowns mine!" Almost as soon as she had said it, she blushed. Ian tied a ribbon in her hair and replaced her crown. Controlling the urge to burst out laughing at herself, Jac grinned at Ian. "That's better," she said, trying to make up for her earlier blunder. A tail of the ribbon that was now in her hair fell in front of her face and Jac carefully put it behind her ear but not before noting it's colour. Gryffindor red, just like everything else. She grinned at Ian. "Thanks mate," she chuckled.
Sophie came back carrying a heavy-looking plate loaded with an assortment of food. Jac beamed at Sophie and said, "you always know how to soften me up." She chuckled at her own joke and instantly began eating, starting with a pumpkin pasty at the top of the pile. While she was chewing, Jac looked at Ian. "Worried I'll get you again, are you?" she chuckled through a half mouthful of food. She picked up the tankard of butterbeer Sarie had nicked for her and took a long sip. "Aaa," she sighed in satisfaction.

Poppy laughed as Jac swung her around. She held on tight and squeezed back in the hug. Letting go she beamed as Jac complimented her dress. Poppy immediatly went into her story about how she tried and tried and tried to get the color right. "It went from white to purple to silver to green. I definitely couldn't have it green. Slytherin." Poppy shuddered. "So, I tried once more and TADA!" Poppy did a little spin to show off the dress. "All for you Jac." Poppy said beaming.
Poppy let Jac see other people. She knew that Jac was probably the most popular and most pretty girl ever now. Poppy went over and talked to Sarie who seemed lonely. "Here." Poppy said grabbing a lion shaped cookie that was roaring at her. "Have one." She told Sarie, handing her one also.

Elijah grinned with fierce pride as he watched Jac graciously accept several more rounds of applause, Drake, Sarie, Poppy and Ian all crowding around her and dispersing again to allow others to greet her. There was a moment’s fond laughter as Jac tripped on the cape and disappeared below the throng of admirers, but she was up and gasping for air again in seconds, fighting her way over to one of the many sofas.
Tearing his attention away from Jac – for luckily nearly all of the common room were surrounding her in a swaying circle, sporting butterbeer laced with black market firewhiskey – Elijah slipped over to the boy’s dormitory stairs to retrieve another crate of drinks (which had been precariously stored on the steps), for it seemed the common room was running out. He heaved the crate into his arms, yelling as almost immediately a surge of younger years gathered round to claim their very first bottle of butterbeer. ‘Let me go, shoo!’ He snapped playfully, quickly abandoning them and moving over to the sofa.
Basil, Ian, Sophie and Ginny were all sat around her, and with a devilish grin Elijah shoved his backside in front of Ian and Sophie, threatening to sit on them if they didn’t make a gap for him. The seating plan was already packed to capacity, but he still managed to squeeze between the two of them at the expense of a tipsy seventh year girl falling off the armrest.
‘Enough of this tomfoolery!’ He grinned clapping his hands together to gain everyone’s attention. ‘Have you heard anything about the first task yet, Jac?’ At Elijah’s words the room quietened slightly, passersby throwing themselves at Jac’s feet as if preparing to hear a story. ‘Have you been given any clues yet? I heard one of the tasks involved a Chimaera.’ He speculated wildly, although he had actually just made this up on the spot.

"Thanks Poppy." She bit into the cookie. Then she turned to Elijah. I thought the first task was to test the comptions how they face unknown danger?" She had read about the triwizard torment some where. THere wasnt much on it.

Perhaps nobody would notice the beautiful Japanese girl, entering the room wearing a brilliant crimson Kimono, accented by gold leaves and vines. But what was most wonderful of all about her unique garment was the magnificent lion, rearing proudly on its hind legs. After receiving the invitation from Jac, Akira had changed into a celebration-intended outfit, making herself up and adding a hair ornament that had dangling cherry blossoms. "Chimaera? Is this true, Jac?" Her face brightened, as the oriental witch retrieved her ornate fan from her sleeve. "My fan has Chimaera blood in its cores." Which were located in the large pieces of wood at each end of the fan. Knowing there would be some curious glances her way, Akira ignored them, smiling cheerfully. "I use magic with my fan and not a wand." She explained quickly, slowly approaching the champion and if there was room, bowing. "I congradulations you!" She exclaimed, knowing what a big accomplishment this was. There was an event much like this back home.
Slightly overwhelmed by how many people were present, Akira glanced around wildly, hoping these people would not ridicule her difficulty with English. They were her own house, her.. Family, of sorts. They would understand, she believed it to be so. Waiting to introduce herself if asked, the fifth year sort of stood there, wondering if she really belonged here. She didn't have any friends except for a pair of Hufflepuffs, and they had just met her this morning. Sighing softly, Akira linked her fingers together, trying not to get lost within the excited chaos of the moment.
Gracefully folding herself onto her knees, one of many in a semicircle around the champion and her friends on the couch, Akira smiled, keen to hear when the first challenge was. These events were so exciting, and dangerous. She could never partake, but it was fun to watch, unless somebody got hurt. Which happened nearly every time they held a tournament, Akira thought to herself sadly. Hadn't people died in the past? No matter. Jac would do fine, she knew it. [/color]

Sarie stared in awe at Akira. She was waring the most wounderful kimomo she had ever seen and it fit the acction because of the colors. She thought Akira was pretty, prettier than she'll ever be. She was frighting with herself rather to go to bed or not. "Wow, Akira did you bring that from Japan with you. It's wounderful."

Delighted to know that this young girl knew where she came from, Akira nodded her head, smiling radiantly. "Hai. I brought much with me." (Note: Hai means yes in Japanese. ^^) Wondering briefly how this first year knew her name when she had arrived just yesterday, she decided that it really didn't matter. She was treated nicely by this Sarie, - who appeared very awestruck by her Kimono, one might add - which was all that mattered to her right now. Akira must have looked very beautiful, or else she wouldn't have been stared at open-mouthed by Sarie. No worries though, the first year was cute, and she never really realised she was that attractive-looking. To be modest was to be respected, in her culture. Fanning herself while politely refusing a butterbeer offered to her, Akira smiled, content to sip her glass of water instead.
Awaiting the champion's responce to all those probing questions, the oriental witch placed the cup infront of her knees, resting her palms delicately on her lap. She could feel the pride and happiness in the atmosphere, not to mention some serious excitement! This Jac must be very popular, to be liked and congradulated by so many. Nearly the whole of Gryffindor was here to celebrate. Her fan, the Japanese version of a wand, lay closed within her tiny fingers. Tempted to whirl it open and decorate the room with ornately-designed fireworks, (perfectly safe and unable to light anything on fire) Akira decided to wait a while to give Jac time to speak. She was the champion, of course.
The aroma of the butterbeer lay thick and heavy in the air, causing her nose to wrinkle slightly- an action not nearly powerful enough to terminate her overall expression, which was a calm happiness. Hopefully her difficulty speaking wouldn't prevent her from having fun with the rest of her house.
