Trying to ignore the rambling of the two boys Dan Hubbles rolled his eyes, only to see Will still standing around. Placing his hand son his hips Dan was about to tell Will to get out when another Hufflepuff entered. That had been 4 Hufflepuff’s in detention now, and Dan was a little disappointed.
“Yes I’m one who made toast in the common room. Well done. Now please take a seat we are doing detention in silence today, only a few idiots do not understand the meaning.”
With a sharp glance at Jerred and Fin, Dan could not believe he was having to put up with people like them. Then something came to him, all the things he had just said to the new arrival. With a gleeful smile Dan pulled out his wand and before anyone could ask a huge, dusty dictionary landed on the table in front of them.
“Please find the world silence in the dictionary and read out the definition….oh and be careful the book bites.”

The book made a loud crack upon its impact with the table, startling Fin awake. He hated being woken up. He hated it more than anything in the world. Fin stood up angrily, and said "No."

Dan was rather surprised when the Fin refused. Raising his eyes brows he walked over toward the Ravenclaw.
“One thing you should never say to be Mr McFinnigan is no. Also when in detention you stay seated unless otherwise informed.”
Reaching out Dan put his hand on Fin’s shoulder and pushed him down back into his chair. Slowly stepping away Dan kept his eye on Fin making sure he did not make another moves, except towards the dictionary.

Ariane grinned with mishcheviousness. Newbie's crackin' down huh? she thought. She rested her feet on the desk and examined her nails with boredom. IN their current state they were coveredwith chipped black and silver nail polish. "It's amazing how boring detention can be when you don't cause some trouble" she muttered under her breath. She watched Fin carefully, trying to figure out whether he would contiunue standing up for himslef or fold down under pressure. Maybe this time I'll jsut watch.... or not she slipped her wand into hers sleeve arm. She waved her wand subtleyt and the dictionatry flew across the room and hit the wall, snarling and snapping angrily. "Fin! You shouldn't have throwen that across the room! That's disrespectful!" she chided.

Fin was suprised to see the book fly from his desk and into the wall. He looked back at the girl who had just spoken, eyeing her suspiciously at first. 'Clever girl,' he thought to himself. Fin smiled at the girl and gave a tip-of-the-hat motion. He liked this new girl, and would have to keep a closer eye on her in the future.

Jonathan rubbed his eyes with two fingers. Why did he ever agree to do detentions? The students who ended up in them were usually the egoistical little sods with the attention span of a goldfish, and if it got round the staffroom that you were hosting one, it was more than likely you would find yourself with several students on your hands whom other teachers did not fancy dealing with. Well... Jonathan was certainly not going to put up with it any longer. 'This detention is over.' He stated loudly, rising from his seat and leaning on his desk.
'Professor Hubbles? Thank you for sitting in on this one, considering especially how distasteful the culprits were...' He gave a particularly dirty look at Fin. How did such an idiotic little freak get to be Head Boy? And how on earth is he a Ravenclaw? It's embarrassing, he thought with a grimace.

Ariane stared back levelly at Fin. He made the tipping hat motion towards her and she couldn't help the cheesy grin that slipped onto her face. She nodded back to him respectfully. Hmm... possibly another trickster to join the Winchester Ways? Another person in the group wouldn't damage us that badly. A Head Boy huh? Well now that's interesting
When the Professor stood up and dismissed the detention Ariane was up and out of her seat before anyone else. She shout out of the door like a bullet. And slowed down once she was safetly half-way down the hall.
