Loren tried her hardest to scream at the top of her lungs in hope that it might bring some sound from her, but alas it did no good. She had indeed reached for her wand to remove the spell, but upon Professor Starsmore's orders that she leave it in place, she saw no other choice other than to do as he said and sit in quiet humiliation. She looked round at Fin now, thoroughly pleased that someone was finally standing up against the two tyrants. She gave an appreciative smile as the boy stared up at Professor Starsmore defiantly, refusing to be put on the spot.
Then Dax suddenly spoke up, demanding that they leave her alone and remove the spell. She looked at him sideways for only a moment to see what his face was like. Her stomach churned, and for the first time since the duel she wondered if she had been at all a little harsh. He had sent her several letters over the course of the day begging her forgiveness - even a poem! She could not bring herself to smile at him however. She simply did not want to give in so soon after what he had done, and instead chose to pretend she did not care.

As he sat down he shot a glance over at Loren, but still she would not acknowledge his existence. Groaning Dax rested his head on the table and closed his eyes. He was now going to be eaten alive by the Professor and Loren still did not care. His life was pointless.
He waited for the shouting to commence and for the points to be taken away from Hufflepuff. Ah Hufflepuff. Everyone in the Common room will really hate his guts now fighting over a Ravenclaw, ruing the chances of getting the house cup as he had developed an emotional attachment to a Ravenclaw. This was worse then that play by that muggle play writer. Two lovers divided by different houses. Except this time Juliet hated the guts out of Romeo and then Romeo would die alone with Juliet living off in a huge mansion. Ok So Dax’s imagination was running away with itself but in times like this is was all he had to relay on. However even in his thoughts the future was bleak.

Fin became bored with the Professors, and decided to just take a seat. He found the chair behind the Hufflepuff boys. Desperate for some new confrontation, Fin put his feet up on the back of the Hufflepuff's chair, knocking the back of his head a little bit with his shoes.

With a role of the eyes Dan turned to look at Dax, his face was almost pleading as he looked at the Hufflepuff. “Dax I understand you point, and indeed you are right, but Miss Hayes is in detention and the thing I put her into detention for was not her fault. I admit that now, but it has been done and nothing more could be said about that.” He looked at Loren and could tell she was getting angry.
“And as for you Mr McFinnigan I told you to sit by the side of Miss Hubbles.” Removing his wand Dan gave a small flick and soon Fin was flying through the air and landed, with a small bump in the chair next to Girty. Then turning to Loren once more Dan gave small smile and removed the charm.
“I do not suppose you have learnt your lesson? Either of you two Ravenclaw’s.”

Jerred walked into the room, bored as hell so he put himself in detention. He was wide eyed and ready to make trouble for anyone who pushed him around, but as he looked at the students about the room, a mischievous grin crossed his face. 'Afternoon everyone, I'm bored, ready for some detention, which I will say I haven't done anything to deserve such punishment, not yet anyway, so I came here out of my own free will to cause some trouble.' Jerred said, breathing in deeply after he spoke. 'You know me, I'm bored easily and will annoy, nitpick and... did I say annoy already?' Jerreds eyes fell upon the HeadBoy, his grin growing wider. 'Finny, Fin McFinniFinfin is here, eh?' Jerred said, laughing afterwards. 'Get caught in the toilets relieving yourself after seeing a girl again? Or was it walking in on a Professor doing it?' Jerred looked at The DADA Professor for the last question. 'Doesn't matter, it'll be just like old times, won't it?' Jerred's eyes fell on Girty and Loren, his smile fading and genuine interest into why they were here evident in his raised eyebrow. 'What in the hell are they doing here?' He said, pointing to the two girls, before looking at the Professors. ((Sorry for the personal attacks, but that's what Jerreds going to become more like, especially in Term 3. This is just a demo for what is to come ))

((And now for Alluran...))
Striker entered the room, rolling his eyes as he knew he was late. He saw Professor Hubbles and Starsmore by some desks and smiled nervously.
'Where do I sit and w-what am I d-doing?' Striker asked, nervously.

Will grimaced ever so slightly as points were deducted from his house, ah well he thought the bloke has a sense of humour at least. He agreed wholeheartedly with Professor Hubbles, who seemed as intent as he to see Loren and Dax together. Well not quite so much, falling silent and listening, which was still one of his skills, though he didn't like to use it so much as his big mouth. He smirked as various people entered, all intent on disturbing the detention, which was quite fine by him as it gave him, the opportunity, although not the best time or place, but still, to talk to Loren and Dax, plus they would also listen, at least Loren couldn't at this moment in time answer back. Having given a quick fleeting grin to Girty he now turned away and although he of course knew the teachers would notice his talking, he thought the gamble worth it. They too seemed to want to lighten up the heavy mood here. "So Loren," he whispered, "why are you here? Oh wait you can't answer can you?" He tried in vain to stifle his laugh but continued regardless wanting to give her a mini-apology "at least you know how Dax feels bout ya!" he said grinning, "and with the colour in them cheeks..." he said cutting short as he knew from experience that he need not continue, she fully well knew the pragmatics behind that. Smiling pleasantly at the professors he was about to speak aloud to them when he thought better of it, he really wanted the full use of his mouth, as he had fondly missed it during his time in the hospital wing, thankfully it had been a short-stay. Grinning he slipped a hand beneath the table giving Loren a quick poke, grinning as she couldn't scream out. But then his fun was ruined as the professor released Loren from the charm. Grumbling in mock frustration he once again looked from girl to girl grinning happily. Will couldn't help but answer Jerred's question though "You'll never guess, this one," he said nudging Girty sharply in the ribs "hexed this gentleman here," he indicated Professor Hubbles, "that wimp though hexed a mere First year, some Head Boy eh?" Not waiting for an answer he continued flashing a grin at Fin. "Dax n me, had a..." seeing the teacher's expressions "very irresponsible duel, cause he kissed my girl which isn't the point, more importantly he insulted Loren here, who I'm guessing is simply ere cause the profs like to torment us all," finishing with a smile he added "that about sums it up don't it? Though we are all very very stupid," he said seriously "and are learning our lessons well." Grinning around happily he idly thought of what would be in store after that, though at least they had had the decency to let him finish and fill in the new boys.

Jonathan had raised his eyebrows as Will had spoken for the first time in a while. He was surprised that, instead of some half-baked twisted mockery, he was actually trying to console Loren. Will gave the professor a furtive glance every couple of moments as if checking himself, but Jonathan simply nodded, allowing him to continue to say what he had to say. Will Harris was actually attempting to be somewhat serious for once.
With a sigh Jonathan leaned back in his chair. His eyes wandered around the students for a moment before coming back to Will. 'I think Dax and Will have, for the most part, seen the errors of their ways, Professor Hubbles.' He stated with a sagely expression. 'I think they can go.'
He turned in his attention to Jerred and Alluran, two very different individuals. 'Ten points from Slytherin for your crude remarks, Mr Boneman. Do you actually have a detention or are you just deprived of attention?' He asked sardonically.

Dax still lay with his head on the table he could hear Will talking away at the new arrivals. When he reached the part about the kiss Dax let out a groan. He was sure these poor souls had already heard the story, and he did not want to have to sit through another re-telling. Dax was just about to stand up and demand to be let go when Starsmore beat him to it.
Raising his head off the table, his mouth hanging open slightly Dax pushed his chair out from under the table and looked at the Professor then to Will. He managed to let a small smile fill his face before starting to leave the room. When he reached the door he gave a small glance over his shoulder at Loren, then he was gone.

Will smiled pleasantly around, his ploy had worked, though that hadn't really been his intent the opportunity to escape hadn't been looked for but was much appreciated. Hanging his head in mock shame, though he did look, and partly was, entirely serious. "I have sir, though if I had the chance at another duel, in proper circumstances mind, a practice like, then I'd love that." He was about to bound to his feet and leave the room with a curteous bow and grin to all present, when a curious thing happened, his heart welled with pity for Dax, he looked so broken it was quite frankly pathetic. But thankfully the moment of madness passed quickly, until an idea formed in his mind, raising his hand he asked pleasantly just as Dax left "perhaps sir I could swap places with Loren here? Give them a chance to talk it other? Or even better I could mediate between them, cause they need to sort it out, next thing it'll be affecting their studies." He said grinning as he knew that particular comment might worry the teachers. Besides the detention isn't too bad he thought nearly slapping himself round the head for such a stupid remark he wondered what on earth was happening to him. I'd do anything to get of this, cor

"Nice to see you too Jerred," said Fin in response to his former-friend's unnecessary attack. "So let me ask you something Jay-Man: do you get some sort of weird pleasure from being punished for no reason? Is that why you're in detention today? You get off on punishment, eh buddy? Or do you just enjoy looking like a total jackass in public?" Fin yawned. He was tired of this detention now, and just wanted to get some sleep at this point. He put his head down and closed his eyes.

Jerred grinned at Starsmore. 'I guess I'm the latter, sir, but is it wrong to want and need attention?' Jerred said, snickering. 'I suppose one as yourself loves attention from the worst sort of people.'
He turned to Fin and laughed. 'Unlike you, I don't pick fights with people younger than me.' Jerred said, his tone serious. 'I also don't go around, chest pounding and going,' he pounded his chest and dropped his voice, ' "Me Head Boy, Me Minister's Lil B!tch!" So all in all, I find what I find exciting compared to actually picking on people. I pick on people who are usually in the right place at the right time.'

(( Guys seriously, could you stop being so rude? Ty that was totally gross what you got your character to say before, and Leigh, I know you censored it but why swear? Everytime you guys go like this it feels like you're totally ruining the HP feel (not to mention the PG-13 restriction). And could you not distract everyone from the actual thread? Sorry, but it get a little frustrating sometimes. ))

((OOC: Well Jerred started it. Fin was just defending himself.))
Fin yawned during Jerred's long and tired speech. He wasn't really paying attention, and so kind of drifted in and out of reality. He thought he recalled Jerred saying something about the Minister, but he could've been wrong. Instead of going through the trouble of asking his old friend to repeat himself, Fin decided to just shrug it off and get back to sleep. He began to snore loudly.

((OOC: Okay, so Ariane wasn't assigned a detention, but I've mentioned once or twice in other posts that she's had a detention so... thought I'd try one out. If I'm in the wrong though, please correct me... detention just sounds... *grins* fun))
Ariane walked into the detention with a small grin on her face Righty-o then. Let's see how this one sails she thought confindently. Let's see who's baby-sitting. THe poor blokes, wasting their time they are. Putting a Winchester in detention isn't going to change them one bit. Just makes them stronger.
She grinned mischeviously "WEll howdy folks" she said, bowing towards the teachers at the front of the classroom, recognizing Proffesser Hubbles as "The Toast Man".
"Hey" she smiled "You're the one who was making toast in the Hufflepuff Common Room" she said I wonder what'll happen now?
She looked at the seating arrangement and strutted to the back of the room.
