Maeve nodded to her cousin as she left the pitch. She reached out with her hand that had the broken finger and caught the bat. When her cousins were off the pitch, Maeve heard a quiet whistling sound from behind her. She turned and saw a bludger coming. Raising one of her eyebrows, she sighed. "Did they have to leave now when the bludger came?" she mumbled. She swung the bat and hit the bludger back out of the stadium, turning back to the others. "Who wants the bat, because I'm not a good Beater." she held the bat up. "Any takers?"

Ok, this was getting ridiculous. Fallon held up a finger to Malfoy to wait a second. She couldn't believe that two girls had honestly walked of the pitch becuase of a stupid bludger hit. Some people don't know how to behave.
The seventh year flew over to their captain. "First off, are you ok?" Fallon said, seeing that perhaps the boy had bruised. It was an act of kindness she only showed to those in her house, and those she liked in her house. "Zach, Do something! You're losing your team!!!" Fallon said after making sure he was fine. "We can play with only you, me, Marishka, and Maeve! I mean yes, I am, I mean, we are amazing but even so," she lowered her voice. "That is if Malfoy decideds to stay. Considering her family's track record at the moment. Oh, by the way shes crazy and insists of practicing with a borken finger." Fallon said with a laugh.
"But by all means lets continue practicing." Fallon smiled with a wide fake grin. "Are you going to catch that snitch any time soon?"

Maeve looked at Fallon and laughed. "I am not leaving! And I told you, I broke my whole arm to the point where bones were sticking out of my armor and I was pulled off the pitch to stop playing! A little broken finger isn't going to effect me." she grinned and flew over to where Zach and Fallon were. "You can still count me in." She held up the bat a little in front of her and tapped Zach on the shoulder with it lightly. "So, where do I put this, Zach?" she asked, refering to the Beater's bat.

Marishka let out a deep, heavy sigh as she watched Bellatrix and Narcissa stalk off the pitch. 'You have a wonderful temper, Mayfair.' She chastised herself, some of her parceltongue accidentally slipping out as it usually did when she was angry. Running her hands through the length of her hair to try and break some of the tangles, Marishka turned back to the others, her cheeks red. 'Sorry.' She said earnestly, looking at Zachary, Maeve and Fallon. She now felt terrible for being so hostile toward Maeve - she was golden in compression to the others!
Upon Fallon's suggestion of carrying on, Marishka whipped up her broomstick and mounted it, flying in the air. 'Do you want to put Fallon and me through our paces, Maeve?' She asked, flying up to the group. She noticed Maeve holding her hand against herself protectively, seeing that her finger was rather swollen and bent. 'Nasty.' She grimaced.
The bludger came hurtling back their way suddenly, and Marishka looped out of the way, preparing...

Maeve looked at Marishka when she flew towards them. "No problem. I forgive you. Don't know wabout these two, but I'm sure they do to." she grinned.
She started flipping the bat in the air, just to catch it again, switching between hands. "Sure, Marishka. Sound good to me. After that, we'll see if we can come up with any maneuvers for chasers to use against the other houses. And we can let Zach here get back to the Snitch, wherever it went."
When Mairshka moved, Maeve turned to see what for. Looking at the bat in her hand, she shook her head. Flying towards the oncoming bludger, she swung the bat. Within a split second, she knew she was slightly close to the bludger, and felt it come in contact with the bat. And her hand. When the bludger was shooting off in the other direction, she lifting up her hand. She smirked. "Well, that's not good." Flying back to them, she took the quaffle from Fallon. "So, are we playing or not?" she asked for the umpteenth time, flying up to the hoops. She tossed the quaffle in the air and caught it. "Come on!" she threw it to Marishka. "Lets go!" She seriously felt no pain in her hand, thanks to Bella, Cissy, and her playing all the time during the summer.

Zachary widened his eyes as Fallon sped toward him, purpose in her stride. He was certain for a moment that she was going to try and give him a concussion as well, or even worse -- reprimand him. He had never been really all that great with girls, especially angry ones, and took a step back in surprise.
But seeing the worried expression her face, he immediately flushed. "I'm fine, really," he mumbled, wrinkling his nose and mounting his broom. Then, turning his head to see the last of the Black sisters, he shrugged. "I'm a captain that rather likes having teammates that follow instructions. I think we're better out without them, personally..." Trailing off, he was glad to see her attention was no longer on her injury, but Maeve's.
Smirking, he kicked off into the air and swerved around Fallon. "Would be a shame if she couldn't keep up with us with one measly broken finger," he smirked a little at Malfoy, so she knew he was joking. At least partially.
However, when Marishka approached him, Zachary could only smirk. "Glad to have you on the team, Mayfair," he said shortly, a bit of a sinister twinkle in his eye. He knew Marishka wasn't one for apologies, having the normal Slytherin pride, and he shrugged off her attack. It wasn't like he was perfectly innocent either.
Then, grabbing the beater bats, he threw one of them off near the trunk before flying off to look for the bludgers. "Can't have them going after you during a practice," he quickly explained, ducking as one zoomed over his head before scowling.
"Get back here!"[/color]

Oh honestly. It had turned into the worst Quidditch experience possible. Even after more than an hour of practice, the Slytherin team was still in dire need of players. Fallon thought about the coming season. They couldn't play with four people. They would be disqualified. It would be a disaster and a great embarrassment. Fallon could see another great season ahead.
Still, why waste time. Feeling the quaffle being taken from her hands, Fallon turned to see Maeve. She had been thinking harder than she thought. flying over to a position in the middle of the middle, Fallon waited to see Mariska's move.
She watched Zach out of the corner of her eye. It seemed as though a bludger had gotten lose. Typical. What else could possibly happen? It wasn't safe having bludgers out with no beaters around. Fallon sighed and shook her head. She heard a buzz moving fast toward her, thinking it was Mariska finally making a move, she held her position.
A second later, she heard the crack of a broom, and she was hurtling toward the ground from twenty feet in the air. She reached for her damaged broom and caught it, slowing down her descent. Both the girl and the broom hit the ground. Fallon lay, catching her breath, her broom crossed over her, her hand still clutching it. Her heart was racing, and all she could do was breath, eyes open, trying to calm herself.

"Im not too late, am I?" Erys called out, joining the crowd only to see a girl tumble to the ground. "Oh, my." She murmured, peering down at her. Injured? She dearly hoped not, since it was a terrible loss for someone of Slytherin to get hurt. "I wanted to try out for beater?" She had a strong arm from working out during the summer - weights had become her best friends - and would probably excell with the bat in her hands. "Anybody got a bat?" Erys asked loudly, fully aware of her surroundings as she glanced down at her emerald broom. Which model was it, anyway? Not like it mattered, it was extremely speedy, maybe even a bit buoyant in the air. She should have no problems spinning and twisting to hit the bludger's away. Remembering now that she wouldn't be favored highly if she didn't put her team-mates first, the Slytherin sixth-year eased the broom around, soaring towards the grounded girl with a concerned expression.
"Are you alright?" Dismounting her broom, Erys offered her hand to help her up, unless she was too injured to move. Highly unlikely, for the fact that she had managed to hoist herself onto her broom before skidding. And Slytherin was a strong house, they could put up with it. Of course, that didn't mean she couldn't show a little compassion.

Fallon just starred at the sky, until a new girl flew above her, blocking the rays of sun from her face. She blinked and the girl came into focus. "Oh, yeah." Fallon said, ignoring the hand up, she pushed herself up from the ground. She rolled up her left sleeve to find that her elbow had been ripped to shreds from the fall. The blood had soaked through her robes. She shrugged and rolled down the sleeve. She would be fine.
"Thanks." Fallon said, remember the girl was still there. She gave her a little smile and picked up her broom. She bent and unbent her arm repeatedly to make sure the injury was only skin deep. It seemed to be, and Fallon could ignore the stinging flesh pain. She mounted her broom again and kicked off toward the goal hoops.
"And so we begin again?!" She shouted and asked at the same time.

"No problem." She answered dismissively, always welcome to helping out her fellow house mates. Unless they happened to be foolish, annoying, or stupid. Or she didn't like them. 'This girl had enough strength to push herself up while refusing. How Slytherin of her.' Strong without any aid was a trademark characteristic of the serpent house she had noticed, possessing that quality herself. Erys thought, grinning as she did so. Mounting her broom, she shot after Fallon, hoping to catch up with Maeve before she became her target. Shooting off towards the trunk instead with both hands locked around the handle of her broom - just incase another bludger happened to ricochet her way - Erys snatched up one of the bats. Watching a bludger recover itself from the other side of the pitch, her eyes narrowed as it began its fast approach. She needed this club, and now.
Back in the air now, she would have had just enough time to swing the bat back before whipping it forward with a loud crack- smashing it against the bludger with a hit that should send it blasting towards Jerred. It shouldn't have hit him at all, only grace his stomach, providing he didn't try to move. Unless she missed, which then Erys would spiral out of the way, using the speed of her broom to its advantage while evading the crazed flying object. But that was highly unlikely. Knowing it was next to impossible to miss considering the fifth year wouldn't be expecting it, she licked her lips with satisfaction. "Well, god, this is easy." Erys murmured, weighing the bat in her right palm before closing her fingers around the grip.

Angel wasn't sure she was willing to give this another try but she loved Quidditch it was one of her secret passions and the desire to play grew with each day. Knowing that they were holding practices that day she wandered around her room wondering if she should just suck up her pride and go or let them suffer and not have a team at all. She knew that there was only one decision so she gathered her broom and robes and headed out to the pitch. Things didn't seem to be going all that well which didn't sadden her at all. Walking over she said loudly, 'Looking for anymore players?' while thinking you so desperately need them.

Hearing Angelique's call from the ground, Erys twisted her broom around to get a better look at her, while still glancing about in case there was a bludger nearby. "Theres room for one more beater." She responded loudly, adding, "Unless I didn't get beater, which then theres two spots open." Of course, she pretty much had the part. With enough muscles to club that demonic object towards the other team, the sixth year was a beater. Hopefully the captain saw that quality in her aswell. "Theres a spare bat by the trunk." Erys answered, pointing to its location before spinning mid-air just for the fun of it. Where was that captain guy anyway? Figuring she looked like a drunken ballerina, the Slytherin girl stopped her twirling, relaxing her grip on the handle for a while. There didn't seem to be another bludger coming. Yet.
Tapping the club gently against her broom, Erys yawned, keeping a keen look out in case Jerred decided to get even and knock her off or something. That bludger wasn't supposed to hit him anyway, just graze him. Barely even a bruise, right? Right. Licking her lips, she stretched, glancing down at the useful weapon in her hands before staring around for the captain. "Right, so, did I get the part?"

Beater wasn't the position she really wanted, but her desire to be on the team outweighed that. Moving toward the trunk Erys' pointed to Angel opened it seeing a huge battered bat laying at the very bottom. She picked it up and felt how heavy it was, it looked enormous in her small delicate hands but she held it with authority. Moving back down the pitch she watched the others in the air for a moment smiling and shaking her head she saw they needed work.
She picked up her broom from the ground and swung one leg over the side. One hand was grabbing the handle while the other tightly around the handle of the bludger bat. Kicking up hard from the ground her broom zoomed upward effortlessly. Watching the team she kept her eyes peeled for the bludger so that she could show them her skills.
